Clearly a timeless classic, this clock has a cable-wound precision movement with hour and
half-hour strike on a coil gong. The architecturally styled top and bottom are of burled wood
with a high-gloss, piano finish. This piece is fitted with a beveled-glass door and is
surrounded by glass on three sides. The polished enamel "floating dial" and long slender
case bespeak the epitome of style and taste.
This clock is easily one of our most popular models and is a favorite among our employees.
It is made by Hermle in Germany and is available in birds-eye maple with nickel trim as well
as natural cherry with brass trim.
The Amerling's elegant simplicity allows it to fit in
both antique and modern settings.

Named for a prominent painter in the Biedermeier style, this elegant piece is a beautiful
example of that period. Biedermeier works have a tendency to exhibit an atmosphere of
quiet contemplation and a powerful simplicity of style.

Jeweler’s Regulator
Vienna regulators have always been the standard by which all wall
clocks have been measured. The weight-driven mechanism allows the
clock to be more accurate than a simple spring wound mechanism.
These clocks were the most accurate clocks one could own before the
time of quartz and atomic technology.

Jeweler’s Regulator
North Coast Imports specializes in carrying regulators which contain
movements that are faithful reproductions of these clocks. The weights
are small, as they would have been in the Nineteenth-Century, and the
pendulum has a slow majestic sweep without much over-swing. These
clocks have a large and resonant coil gong that strikes the hour and
half-hour. These small, precision movements allow for a more elegant
and well proportioned case.

Bauhaus
This charming timepiece brings us back to one of
the most popular and classic designs of the modern
era. The German “Box-Clock” style was avidly
produced since Gustav Becker introduced it in the
early part of the Twentieth Century. This piece by
Sternreiter is the finest (and to our knowledge the
only) example available in America today
The glass is beveled and leaded in a simple
Bauhaus, or Shaker design. The solid-brass trim
has an elegant brushed finish. The case is made of
thick, solid hardwood boards and is available in a
satin French walnut finish.
This clock sounds the Westminster chimes on long
chime rods. These are not the short chime rods
found on most spring-wound clocks in this price
range. Instead, this piece has a deep and rich
sound similar to that of a grandfather clock.

In 1640 the Waag Clock was the first mechanical clock that was affordable by the
new middle class in Europe. Its simple design allowed for only one hand
indicating hours. The average person of the Seventeenth-Century measured time
with only three times of day: sunrise, high noon, and sunset. North Coast Imports
has faithful reproductions of clocks of this era.

Mobier clocks are popular and widespread in France and Switzerland,
originating mostly from the French Jura. They emerged at the end of the
17th century and were produced in large numbers up to the beginning of
the 20th century. Also known as Comptoise clocks, they can be easily
recognized by their beautifully well-made movement. The hammered
pendulum is very large and hangs in front of the weights.
The Jean Kazes is a mobier clock, hand made according to centuries-old
tradition with a modern expression. This piece is an impressive statement
by all accounts and is an individually built piece of timekeeping art.
