Resident of the Month Olive Boots r was born olive Mae Erb at my grandparents farm home in Ward County to Clayton and Laura Erb. After graduating from Ryder High school in 1946, r worked as a receptionist at Trinity Hospital in Minot. That fall I married Harold Giffey and moved to a farm near Roseglen. We had five sons, Gary, Garlyn, Gardell, Gerald and Greg. In 1.9TO I began employment as a clerk at the Roseglen Post Office and was appointed Postmaster in L974.In 1984 I married Warren Boots. We lived in Roseglen and Parshall, and had established our retirement home in Emmet when Warren passed away in 1989. I have 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons. I enjoy retirement, and all my family and friends. Together great things can happen! Celebrate Your Independence at Somerset Court! In July we celebrate the independence of our country. It is a time where we can pause and think about what our freedom means to us and those that helped us in keeping this freedom over 24O years. If you or someone you know is thinking about moving into a new home because they may need a little help with their personal care needs, stop by and see what Somerset Court has to offer. They will be living in their own home where their independence will not be taken away. Perhaps you will find there is more freedom to take part in activities you enjoy doing. Daily meals are prepared for you, housekeeping and laundry is done to help free up some time. With our new addition open we have added more apartments and one is waiting just for you to call it home. We would be very happy to talk with you and your family about how we can fulfill your/their needs and wants for "Living Life to the Fullest" at Somerset Court. After visiting our spacious apartments let us show you the theater, where movies are shown each day of the week. In the Auditorium we host the monthly "All City Senior Dancer" as well as other activities. Our dining room is served in restaurant style where you choose the meal you want with 5 weekly entrees, soups, salad bar and desserts, or order from the menu. The Sweet Spot boasts of 24 hour coffee, tea, and ice cream, along with homemade sweets from 2-4pm.It is a great place to meet with family and friends. Others in the tournament were: Glenn Hance, Don Gust and Emanuel Klein . Pinochle: The June tournament was hosted by Somerset Court. Pinochle players from each of the communities got together for some serious competition followed by a watermelon social and a time of fellowship. This month Sharon G and Irene H. from Somerset Court tied for the first place prize. Congratulations to both these people! There will be 2 for L gate admission until 2pm for those 65 and older. Activities Director Ara, along with Directors Dave and Melissa, meets monthly to discuss the concerns and needs residents of Somerset Court have at this time.
