Specimens are aged and tested in accordance with the FTC “R-value Rule” (16 CFR, Part 460).
The R-value for AFR38 is a system R-value calculated in accordance with the “ASHRAE
Handbook of Fundamentals” using a 1/2" uniform, parallel dead air space. The R-value of this
product installed without the benefit of a dead air space of 1.5.
