Traditional harbours and ports on inland waters and along coasts are visibly morphing
from straight transhipment points into venues
for logistics services. This means that the ability to respond to a wide range of demands at
very short notice is gaining in importance in
port handling operations. Here, TEREX Fuchs
loading machines guarantee optimal flexibility
you need in deployment.
Unlike conventional handling units, like cable
and portal cranes, the mobile loading machine
is always ready for action without great outlays
and is quick to reach the work site. The powerful and sensitive hydraulic system permits
much more precise unloading and on-the-spot
setting down of the loading material, whether
it be on a stockpile, in the hold of another ship
or in a railway wagon. The gooseneck-type
equipment reaches the entire hold, even loads
located right next to the ship side. The fast
work cycles and high lifting capacity across
the entire working area guarantee outstanding
loading performance.
Thanks to the hydraulically lifting cab, the machine operator always has an optimal view
into the working range. Operations are uncomplicated and can be learned quickly. The
extremely robust design of the TEREX Fuchs
loading machines ensures long service life
and disruption-free operations even under the
toughest working conditions.
The most varied of attachments additionally
extend the deployment spectrum and guarantee optimal capacity utilization.
SPOT ON
Using mobile loading machines from TEREX
Fuchs, spot-on setting down of material is no
bother at all. The sensitive hydraulic system
permits safe and fast movements of the load,
since any slewing motion can be braked in a
controlled way at any time. There is no danger of the load swinging out.

The geometry of the boom delivers high load values across the
entire working area, so that any
material once picked up can be
lifted fast and safely. The electric servo control of the MHL 585
enables an optimal response in
all work movements, especially
when outside temperatures are
low.
The extremely sensitive hydraulic system in TEREX Fuchs
loading machine ensures very
short response times to the
control signals and direct feedback, and guarantees excellent
high-precision control. Optimal
utilization of engine output is
ensured by a power-limit control that supplies the max. output wherever it happens to be
needed.
In the process, the hydraulic
system, thanks to low-loss oil
ducts, provides a perfect reconciliation between drive and
slewing function as well as load
equipment and grab operations.

Thanks to the hydraulically height-adjustable cabin, the operator has a perfect view
of the load at all times. The structure of the
lift frame enables the cab to be moved joltfree via the proportional servo control up to
an optimal eye level.
In the MHL 585, the max. eye level is 8.20 m.
Independently of this, the units MHL 360,
380 and 585 can move the cab forward
2.20 m at any working height.
This ensures an optimal view of tool and
load, even when unloading ships with high
walls. It makes exact positioning of the tool
easier and guarantees high loading performance.
As in all TEREX Fuchs loading machines,
the large front and side windows offer an
excellent panorama view into the working
area. Through the roof window, the operator also has an upward view of the boom.
To meet the special demands in unloading
ships, the MHL 585 has been given an extra floor vision panel for a direct view of the
loading sill, thus offering even more safety
at all times.

Direct access – quick and simple maintenance
The good accessibility of TEREX Fuchs loading machines is now virtually proverbial among their competitors. The most important maintenance points can
be conveniently accessed via a central maintenance
platform, and all components are easy to locate and
service thanks to their sensible arrangement.
In the MHL 585, the ascent to the cab, in spite of
the lofty heights involved, is much more convenient
than in many other machines thanks to its hydraulic
fold ladder. During work, the ladder is folded away
upward, thus protecting it from damage. Access to
engine and hydraulic components is possible at any
time via the wide surrounding catwalks. The opposite side of the machine is accessible without any
problem by walkway.
So all areas of the upper structure can be reached
safely and quickly. The generously dimensioned
maintenance covers have a large opening angle and
facilitate work in a comfortable upright position.
