Before first use
SIM card installation
myPhone COMPACT is a Dual SIM technology smartphone that enables the use of two
cellular networks simultaneously. The first slot supports microSIM cards and the second slot
supports SIM cards or microSIM cards with an adapter. To install a SIM card properly:
 Turn off the phone, remove the back cover (using your nail to hold the thin slot, it is
located in the bottom part of the phone, next to the microUSB slot).
 Remove the battery.
 Insert the SIM card as shown in figures below the slot.
MICRO SIM ADAPTERS
Do not insert an empty microSIM card adapter (without the card). It may cause the adapter
to jam inside. Any attempts to use force to remove a jammed card adapter may lead to
mechanical damage of the phone. If an empty adapter is jammed inside the SIM card slot,
contact an authorized myPhone service!
Memory card installation
Only use compatible and company-approved memory cards. Incompatible memory cards
may damage the card itself and/or the device and lead to data loss. Memory card
incompatibility means an unsupported card format (microSD format is required) or an
unsupported card capacity (above 32GB). To install a memory card properly:
 Turn off the phone, remove the back cover (using your nail to hold the thin slot, it is
located in the bottom part of the phone, next to the microUSB slot).
 Remove the battery.

adapters or chargers may lead to battery explosion or device damages. If the battery is low,
a low battery message is displayed. Charge the battery, to continue using the device.
After complete battery discharge the device can not be turned on, even during recharging.
Charge the battery for a few minutes before restart.
To charge the battery:
1. Plug the micro-B USB connector (trapezium-shaped) into an appropriate socket of
myPhone COMPACT phone.
Improper plugging of the adapter (USB cable) may lead to device or adapter
damage. The warranty does not cover any damages resulting from improper handling.
2. Plug the adapter to the mains socket. When the charging is initiated, an animated thunder
icon is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.

11. Safety notes
Troubleshooting
In case of any problems with the device we recommend saving the data and restarting the
phone. If the problem persists, read the tips below and follow suggestions in case of a
particular type of problem.
 SD memory card - verify if it is properly installed in the SD card slot. If the problem
persists, use a different SD card.
 USB – verify if the phone is properly connected to another device. Check the USB
connection type in your phone settings (the shortcut is available on the notification
screen). If the problem persists, use a different USB cable.
 Internet / Wi-Fi – check if the phone works in airplane mode (airplane mode disables
any wireless network functions). Check the network range. Check if the function is
turned on in the phone.
 Bluetooth – check Bluetooth device visibility options. Make sure that both devices are
in range of Bluetooth connection and if there are no obstacles between them (curious
detail – some LCD monitors absorb magnetic waves). Make sure that both devices
have enough free memory to share files. Make sure that both devices work in airplane
mode (airplane mode blocks the Bluetooth).
 Sounds – make sure that the sound in the phone is not muted and control other sound
settings. Verify if the cable is properly plugged in the miniJack 3.5 mm socket.
Some miniJack plugs may vary and this might be a reason – try another cable.
 Pictures and screenshots – verify if the camera lens is not covered. Verify if the device
has enough free memory on the SD card. Verify if the SD card is properly seated.
 Although the battery is charged, its level of charge drops continuously – turn off all
options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and decrease the screen brightness (those options
are the most power consuming), then use the airplane mode. Those simple steps
speed up the phone charging. It is recommended to charge the device using the
adapter, not the USB socket.
If the problem persists, contact the phone producer.

press and hold the on/off and Volume - buttons. After this the screenshot is made and saved
in memory in Pictures Screenshots folder.
Memory card operation
 Do not remove the memory card, when the information is moved on it or used by the
device. This may lead to data loss or card/device damage.
 Do not touch the gold memory card pins with your fingers or any other metal objects.
If the phone is dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth.
Personal data and information protection
 We recommend making regular backup copies of important data. myPhone company is
not responsible for any data loss.
 Before the device is disposed of, erase all data ([App Menu]  [Settings]  [Copy and
data erase]  [Factory settings]  [Reset phone]). In this way you can protect your
personal information from stealing by unauthorized persons.
 When downloading apps, read any information on the screen. Pay special attention to
apps that require access to many functions or personal information.
 Check the accounts regularly for unauthorized or suspicious use. If you find any trace
of improper use of personal information, contact the service provider to delete or
change the account details.
 If your phone is lost or stolen, change passwords to accounts to protect personal
information.
 Try not to use apps from unknown sources. Lock the phone using a pattern, password
or PIN code.
 Do not distribute copyright protected materials.
 Do not distribute any copyrighted contents without permission from the copyright
owner. Failing to do so may lead to copyright infringement. The producer is not
responsible for any legal consequences of illegal distribution of any copyright
protected materials.
Notes on proper battery use
 The battery in this device may be charged using the USB socket. It is, however, not
recommended due to low voltage offered by the USB port and even if the battery is
connected, it may be eventually discharged. If you want to charge the battery using
USB, turn off the phone. If the battery is low, charge it to continue using the phone. If
you want to prolong the battery life, let it discharge below 20% of full level and fully
recharge.
 If you do not use the adapter, unplug it from the phone. Overcharging leads to
shortened battery life.
 The battery temperature influences charging quality. Before the charging process is
initiated, the battery may be cooled or heated to reach the temperature close to room
temperature. If the battery temperature exceeds 40 degrees, the battery cannot be
charged!
 Do not use damaged battery!
 The battery life can be shortened when it is exposed to very low or very high
temperatures; it leads to device malfunctions even if the battery was properly charged.
