Heliskiing/boarding is not just an extreme
activity, in fact with the right choice of terrain and
conditions, almost anyone can heliski. It’s about
getting out onto untouched snow, making first
tracks, and never having to ride a chair lift!
HELI 1
Intermediate Skier/Rider
You ski/board the blue runs, only sometimes go
off piste, have little or no powder experience and
ski/board up to 10 days per season.
HELI 2
Intermediate-Advanced Skier/Rider
You ski/board the blue runs and some easier
black runs, sometimes go off piste in good
conditions, have some powder experience
and ski/board 10-20 days per season.
HELI 3
Advanced Skier/Rider
You mainly ski/board black runs, go off piste most
of the time, have many days of powder experience
and ski/board over 20 days per season.
HELI 4
Expert Skier/Rider
You always ski/board black and double black runs,
mostly ski/board off piste, and are an accomplished
powder and “all snow condition” skier/boarder. You
ski/board 40 days plus per season.

Our Powder Shot package is the ideal heli day to ease you into the full heliski experience. Two morning runs,
a lunch break to re-energise, then a final run to finish the day!
POWDER RIDE - 4 RUN DAY Suitable for Heli 1 & HELI 2 Price NZ $975
On the Powder Ride day we ski/board two runs, then take a well-earned break to enjoy our sumptuous
mountain-top lunch. The afternoon is spent carving your signature down two more untouched powder slopes.
DEEP RIDE – 5 RUN DAY Suitable for HELI 2 Price NZ $1050
The Deep Ride is a step up from the powder ride day, ideal for strong intermediate skiers/boarders the 5 Run
Day lets you experience a total day of powder pleasure.
VERTICAL 6 – 6 RUN DAY Suitable for HELI 2 & HELI 3 Price NZ $1125
The Vertical 6 is a full-on high-energy day where you will sample some of the best heliskiing/boarding
NZ has to offer. Vertical 6 is all about more runs, steeper lines and max adventure!
DEEP-VERT - 7 RUN DAY Suitable for HELI 3 Price NZ $1200
The Deep Vert is about long runs and epic locations, suited to advanced skiers/boarders.
XTRA-VERT - 8 RUN DAY Suitable for HELI 3 & HELI 4 Price NZ $1275
The Xtra-Vert is a high performance, adrenaline pumping, action packed day. Choose
the Xtra-Vert and you will experience a day of unparalleled leg burning pleasure!

FLY – FLY OPTION NZ $99
Ideal for skiers/boarders wanting to travel quickly
to the action. Fly directly from Queenstown heli-port
to your first run and then fly directly back from your
last run!
DAY SKIING RESERVATIONS POLICY:
A full refund can only be guaranteed if cancellation is received
24 hours prior to skiing. If adverse weather prevents flying,
your money will be fully refunded. If some heliskiing has been
possible but less than the runs booked, you will be refunded at
NZ$100 per run not skied ‘or’ downgraded to the next lowest
package, whichever is the least cost to Alpine Heli-Ski Ltd.
Refunds are not given due to injury, lack of ability or fitness.
Alpine Heli-Ski Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the days heliski
operations for any reason
FREERIDE HELI DAYS
NZ $385 + $75 per extra run
Free Ride Heli Days are the best value heli days
in NZ. First run is $385 includes flight in, first
run, lunch and flight out. Each extra run is $75
per person

Unguided, we load you in and out of the helicopter
and point you in the right direction, after that it’s up
to you how fast, how many and which lines you take.
Ideal for photo/film shoots, skiers/boarders wanting
max heli runs or for those just wanting a couple of
runs and lunch in the mountains. Free Ride bookings
are for either the Saturday or Sunday depending on
weather. Alpine Heliski will choose the best day.
EXPERT HELI TRIPS
NZ$5500 per day based on 4
participants and 2 guides
If you like to ski or board more challenging
terrain, then this is the program for you. Whether
it’s couloirs, big faces or steep lines, Alpine
Heliski is the ideal place to push your envelope

On a Private Charter you could ski up to 14 runs
in a day.

Cancellations - Cancellations made up to 5 days prior to skiing will
receive a full refund. Refunds - If adverse weather prevents flying,
clients will be fully refunded. Please note refunds are not given due
to injury, lack of ability or fitness. Prices are in $NZD and inclusive of
15% NZ GST. Prices are subject to change without notice.

SAFETY
Ski Guides
Our guides hold professional ski-guiding industry
qualifications, are highly experienced (locally and
internationally), and most importantly can deliver an
excellent heli day to all abilities of skiers and riders.
Snow Safety
Alpine Heliski has developed a comprehensive
snow and avalanche management system
including procedures for collecting weather and
snow information, evaluating snowpack stability,
assessing hazards in the terrain, and determining
our daily skiing program. All clients are provided with
avalanche safety beacons and instructed on their use.
Pilots & Helicopters
All of our pilots are highly skilled and experienced
in winter mountain operations, and comply with
New Zealand Civil
Aviation Authority (CAA)
Part 135 requirements.
FAQs
When is the best time to go Heliskiing?
The heliski season starts 1 July, and continues
through to September 30. The earlier part of the
season has colder, clearer conditions while the latter
part of the season usually enjoys a great snow base
and ongoing snowfalls.
Do I need powder skis/board?
Specialty powder skis and snowboards make your
heli day that much more enjoyable. If you don’t have
your own equipment - hiring is a popular option and
easily co-ordinated. Our staff can arrange the pick-up
and drop-off of your hire equipment.
How long are the runs?
Run length varies depending on terrain and
conditions (the average run would measure
approximately 600 to 700 vertical metres).
What do I wear?
Dress as you would for a cold day at the resort
(windproof jacket and pants, warm gloves, sunglasses
or goggles and sunscreen). You don’t need to ski/ride
with a backpack. Casual shoes should be worn to the
staging areas (carry your ski boots).
What about safety equipment?
All clients are provided with avalanche safety
beacons and instructed on their use. Our guides
will carry all other safety equipment.
All clients will be required to sign a booking and
Waiver Form. All operations are at the discretion
of Alpine Heli-Ski Ltd.
