Stockholm Guide English Welcome to Stockholm – a city for everyone! Stockholm is a city of contrasts. Trends in music, design, fashion, and technology are born here, and innovations that spread worldwide are invented here. Stockholm also has a rich history comprising gorgeous architecture, museums, the Royal Palace and the medieval urban core of Gamla Stan. Trendy bars and world-class restaurants are shoulder-to-shoulder with historic cafés and cozy neighborhood pubs. This is a city of modern galleries and exclusive department stores, as well as small boutiques and unique shops. Stages and arenas attract Swedish and international stars, and large and small events come one after the next. Stockholm is simultaneously urban and close to nature; water is an ever-present feature in this city where lake and sea meet. Parks and green areas abound, and the distinctive white archipelago boats travel to the islands all year long. The atmosphere is open, tolerant and welcoming, and diversity and innovation are encouraged. Stockholm is a city for everyone. We hope you have a wonderful stay with us! 2—Stockholm Guide PHOTOS: PAGE 2 OLA ERICSON. If you want to shop for food, I think it's essential to buy ingredients when they’re in season, when they’re at their best. The farmer’s market in Tessinparken is great, and you can even find gems in our indoor markets. If you want a traditional Swedish meal, then have some herring, cheese and crisp bread, preferably with beer and schnapps. And if you want it Stockholm-style, then combine the meal with a tour of the archipelago. Stockholm also has a huge selection of great restaurants. Simply enjoy!” 20—Stockholm Guide TRADITIONAL AND MODERN SWEDISH CUISINE IN THREE UNIQUE PLACES Konferens Restaurang Bar Modern design and exciting In the heart of the city in meetings in the Royal Haga Park the Royal Dramatic Theater +46 (0)8-33 48 44 +46 (0)8-665 62 66 Traditional Swedish Dining in a unique setting +46 (0)8-566 370 00 all units above are parts of profilrestauranger, which operates classic, unique and well-reputed restaurants with banqueting rooms to suit every occasion. www.profilrestauranger.se Meet inspiration in its broadest sense Indulge in inspiration – place your event in Stockholm, the capital of Scandinavia and ranked among the top-5 most interesting cities in the world.
