DIRECTIONS & TRANSPORTATION
1.
TRANSFER FROM LISBON AIRPORT TO THE CITY CENTRE
Lisbon’s Portela airport is just under 10 km from the city centre.

Metro: The recently inaugurated Airport Metro Line will take you from the airport directly to the
city centre/down twon (“Baixa Chiado”) for less than 3€. Just switch from the airport line (red) to
the green line at the stop “Alameda”. From there it is only six stops to “Baixa Chiado”.

“Aerobus”: It costs under €4, leaves every 20 minutes from the Airport’s arrivals entrance and
stops at approximately 10 metro stops, as well as key destinations on its way to the city centre.

Taxi: Expect a fee of approximately €15-25 to and from the city centre.

Tram: Route No. 28 terminal at “Praça Martim Moniz” (tourist route passes through some of the city’s
most beautiful areas, such as Estrela, Praça Luis de Camões, Chiado, Sé and Graça).
Train: Santa Apolónia railway station located 3 km away, bus nr. 34 terminal at “Martim Moniz” square /
“Rossio” Train station only 500 meters from “Martim Moniz” Square (Sintra line)
Underground: underground station “Martim Moniz” or “Rossio Square” (50 meters) – Green line
Taxi: Approximate 10/15 minutes
