COURSE INFORMATION
Course Material:
Attendees will receive a bound set of course materials to be distributed the first
day of the course.
Computer Requirements:
For software based courses, training machines with the appropriate software will
be provided at the Training Center.
Class Schedule:
8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Meals:
Lunch and refreshments will be provided each class day. For 3+ day courses,
Siemens Power Academy will sponsor a cocktail one night during the course for
attendees.
Climate:
Bogotá is a city of cold weather but very variable. It is highly recommended
wearing light clothing and carrying bags, jackets or coats. The nights are cold and
the mornings are the hours at lower temperatures. In the rainy season is essential
to use waterproof or umbrella. The temperature in Bogotá varies regularly
between 6ºC and 24°C with an average of 15ºC.

Equipment:
When visiting the Siemens plant, it is important to use a Personal Protective
Equipment, Siemens just supplied a safety helmet. You should bring dielectric
boots.

The city of Bogotá has only one airport, El Dorado International Airport, which
handles all domestic and International flights.

Directions from El Dorado Airport to course site:
1. Take the Calle 26 until Avenida
68.
2. Turn right to take Avenida 68
south to Calle 13.
3. Then turn right to go around a
block and take Calle 13 east

In the event of a building evacuation, you will be informed of the emergency
situation, including evacuation and all-clear announcements.
Follow employees to the designated evacuation area for the building and listen
for the given instructions. Do not return to the building until directed to do so by
a member of the management team.
