This position will work 7:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M. Under the direction
of a licensed nurse, the certified nurse assistant will assist in providing the care and treatment of the patient and perform related
non-professional services. Will take part in a rotation of Weekend
and Holidays. Must have CNA certification.
SURGICAL SERVICES
Full-time OR Circulator/Scrub Nurse
The OR circulator/scrub nurse will position, prep and drape patients. Carries out medical and surgical asepsis during all procedures, demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning of
OR suites before and between cases. Demonstrates knowledge
of anesthetic drugs, actions and side effects. The position will
participate as needed in patient education, scheduling procedures and chart/case preparation as well as the ability to cross
train to other areas with the surgical department as needed.
Ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of surgical experience.
LABORATORY
Full-time MLT/MT Position
Working 40 hours per week. Shifts will vary between the hours of
6:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M., with one weekend a month and call rotation. Must be a graduate from an accredited MT/MLT program.
MLT required; MT preferred. Phlebotomy, general lab, and blood
bank experience required.
ADMINISTRATION
Full-time Accountant
The Accountant participates in all aspects of the financial services of the organization by performing and coordinating accounting practices and analyzing and planning for the future needs
of the organization. The Accountant is responsible for accurate
and timely financial reporting. In cooperation with the financial
team, the Accountant is responsible for the creation and the adherence to fiscal policy and procedure for the organization. The
Accountant is also expected to perform and coordinate activities
concerned with financial administration and general accounting,
financial and statistical analysis, financial and statistical reporting, budget analysis and budget preparation. 2 year accounting/
finance or 2 years relevant proven experience required; 4 year

Pet of the Week - Teddy
Welcome Home!
Teddy, our pet of the
week, has had a haircut since this picture
was taken. In fact he
arrived at the shelter already spruced up and
freshly groomed. He is
certainly a good looking little fella now that
he had his make-over.
Teddy came to us
from a large family who
found that their young
children, as well as the
large groups of neighborhood children that
came through the house to visit, were making
him so nervous he was starting to nip them. They
told us he is just fine with adults although he can
be a little reserved when meeting new people.
But, even with that reported cautious approach to children and new people, he spent
Sunday afternoon at Petco greeting customers
and seemed quite comfortable with everyone.
Maybe it was the busy household and large
numbers of very young children that earned him
the reputation of being cautious.
It is ironic that a month ago we had only a
couple small dogs and within the last week or
10 days we have received in several --- a little
Shih Tzu, a Beagle, Teddy, and a Cocker who,
by coincidence, found his forever home within
an hour of arriving at the shelter so is no longer
available. We still have sweet Sophie (Dachshund mix) and Holly (Chihuahua) as well.
