at the top of their game
The 101 Awards benefit youth sports medicine at
The University of Kansas Hospital
Proceeds from the 2016 101 Awards will help the
experts at the Sports Medicine & Performance Center
at The University of Kansas Hospital improve the
health and wellness of student athletes throughout
the region.
Our multidisciplinary team of specialists offers all the
latest prevention and treatment options, developing
comprehensive programs for young athletes in
area schools and leagues. Services include sports
physicals, baseline concussion testing and the fulltime availability of a certified athletic trainer. These
athletic trainers handle sports medicine-related
duties like conditioning, rehabilitation and nutrition
assistance. They also are on site during summer
camps and they work closely with school nurses on
medical issues.
