Activities, including project duration
The project will last 12 months and will include the following
activities:
A. Research activities
„
research on the basis of a net of 20 organic farm (data
collection, analysis of their organisation, economic
and energy efficiency, nutrient balance and emission
of greenhouse gases);
„
analysis and evaluation of nitrogen and phosphorus
leaching to surface and ground water from a case organic
farm;
„
evaluation of consumers attitude concerning organic
and local food;
„
evaluation of local nets of organic food distribution
on generating new jobs on the rural areas;

B. Improving local nets of food distribution in the Kluczbork,
Bochnia and Brodnica Region
- trainings for farmers (organic faming courses; computer
courses, e-learning);
- workshops about generating new channels of organic food
distribution
- internet web page of the project;
- competitions in the schools to promote the idea
of the project;
- other happenings promoting local nets of food distribution
(fairs, picnics, seminars, etc.);
- permanent stalls with local organic food;
- bike path in the surroundings of Kluczbork city

C. Exchange of experience on the transnational level within
BERAS project – study visit in Finland
D. Final evaluation of the project – organization and
participation in different meetings (seminars, Steering
Committee workshops, conferences) within BERAS
project;
E. Publications:
- scientific report
- hand-book „Direct marketing of organic products”
- leaflet „How to become an organic farmer –step by step”
- bike path in the surroundings of Kluczbork city – „Use
a bike to buy organic food”;
- recipes for regional meals from organic products.
