For over 20 years, the Vancouver Island Women’s Motorcycle Club (VIWMC), has been the venue for
female motorcycle enthusiasts to get together and share
in their love of riding. Based on southern Vancouver
Island, the group has members from all walks of life,
riding all kinds of bikes.
One of the few rules of the group is that it
doesn’t matter WHAT you ride, it only matters THAT
you ride.
With a focus on fun, camaraderie and, of
course, safety, this group has a casual, social feel to it.
There are no dues to pay and no formal structure to the
club.
Group “meetings” are held once a month
throughout the year at favourite pubs and restaurants
around the south end of the Island. During riding season, weekly rides are
scheduled (see next page).
The group also attends many motorcycle events
throughout BC and beyond, as well as plans group trips to
different destinations depending on
the interests of
the members.
While this is a
women’s group,
husbands, partners
and other riding
friends are always
welcome.

All ride destinations are the choice of
whoever shows up and usually include
a stop for dinner.
Please be ready to go with a full gas
tank.
The group will
leave 15 minutes
after the
scheduled
meeting time.
