Diamond Saw Blades (cutting concrete or asphalt for loops)
When purchasing a Diamond Saw Blade, the initial purchase price should not be your first consideration. What is important is
"cost per inch foot sawed." The lowest cost per inch foot sawed is attained with the correct combination of cutting speed, tool
life, and blade price. Choosing the correct blade is the first step in determining this combination. Generally, the higher the saw
horsepower, the higher the concentration and strength of the diamond used... and therefore the higher the blade grade that
should be used. A blade designed for a 18Hp. saw will wear very quickly if used on a 65Hp. saw, but a blade designed for a
65Hp. saw will cut very slow if used on a 18Hp. saw.
Not All Diamond Blades Are Created Equal!!
At Hoover Fence Co. we know every diamond blade we sell will be used for cutting loops. We also realize the purchase of a diamond saw blade for cutting loops is a big expense. That's why we ask important questions like: What horsepower is your saw?
At what RPM does your saw run? Exactly what are you cutting; asphalt, concrete or a combination of both? Once we know the
facts, we can supply you with the best blade for your money. Another important consideration when ordering diamond blades is
undercut protection. Undercutting is a condition that occurs when the steel center wears faster than the diamond segments,
especially in the areas where the segment and core are joined. If your diamond segment falls off before it is worn out, your blade
has failed. To prevent undercutting a diamond blade should employ some type of core protection such as drop segments. Drop
segments are "dropped" on one end down into the steel core. these segments should be made up of the same bond and diamond content as the rest of the blade segments.
Blades are recommended for 18-35 hp saws.

Adjustable Iwan Augers are an alternative to your common post hole
digger. The Seymour augers "bore" through the ground by rotating the
horizontal handles. Two models available with each being adjustable to bore
different size holes. The AU-A1 bores hole sizes of 4", 5" or 6". The AU-A2
bores hole sizes of 6", 7" or 8". Features hardwood handles with steel shafts
and blades riveted to tough malleable iron yokes. Designed for
general purpose use in a variety of soils. Augers have a 21" handle and 9"
head with an overall length of 46". An auger extension is available for use
when boring deeper holes. Extension measures 3/4" x 48" and has a

The Gibbs Digger combines a single blade with hinge action that acts like a
bucket to bring loose soil to the surface. Features include blue steel scoop

hinged handle provides leverage to swivel the blade from its upright cutting
angle to the 90 degree angle used to lift the soil out of the hole. Designed
