It’s been a very interesting and maybe more-so, a fulfilling experience to watch the incredible rise to success that John and Stefon
Beechinor have accomplished in the registered Simmental business! This rapid, almost unprecedented success has to be accredited not
only to their ability to assemble a top-shelf Simmental herd, but their leading abilities of amicability towards fellow breeders, commercial counterparts and marketing personnel. These quality characteristics that certain human beings attain are only developed by inheritance from strong family values. I, on behalf of all of us, thank all the Beechinor Family members for their valued ethics and professional
demeanor.
The second “Summit” sale is set to be another quality group of bulls that will be well received by the public. The Fullblood segment
is poised to be one the largest, quality filled offerings of Fleckvieh Simmental bulls to be offered anywhere in Canada. The well known
Beechinor bull battery will be nicely represented by, of course, “Viper”, but also “Wit” and “Jerico”. They, of course, are so solid genetically on the bottom side of their pedigrees by the great Eagle Ridge cows and also the “She-Devil” cow family. Registered breeders, our
good Hutterite friends and all cowboys will have multiple choices in this demographic.
The LaBatte bred “Revolution” will be a noticeable sire group in the Red Simmi’s as well as the influence of the Twin Chief Marge
cow family that has produced so many of the best “red ones” at Beech Bros. over their tenure in the Simmental business.
The “Black” group is steadily gaining an equal position of quality to “run with” the Fullbloods and Reds in the Beechinor program.
The big sire group offered here have “Dad” as the Lewis bred “Kong”!
Nicely adding to the sale are breeders that are multi-generational purebred cattle people by their own “pedigrees”, namely the Young
family of High Country Cattle Services and Stacy with new husband Dan using the newly incorporated “Double R” stamp as their prefix. Look for features in their group sired by “Powerdrive”, “Surefire”, and yes, “Revolution” again! Many of their bulls were represented
in their display team at the National Show at Edmonton Farmfair. Cow families have always been a priority to the Young’s when breeding cattle, this assures consistency and less guess work in their product.
A new attraction to the sale are “Dad’s”, Barney Beechinor’s, commercial heifer contingent. These are a fancy set of Red Simmi cross
females that have sires the same as the “boys” bulls. Nice heifers that will exist as “good as it gets” commercial replacement females.

Delivery
All bulls and heifers that are remaining to be housed after the sale
must be insured. Bulls will be housed free of charge until May 1, 2014.
Animals will be delivered free of charge to points across Alberta,
Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This will be done at the buyer’s convenience, however, if the truck is in your area you may be asked to take
your bull early. We will do our utmost to deliver your bull to your yard.
Sight Unseen
If you are unable to attend the sale, but are interested in bulls or heifers, please feel free to give the consignors a call prior to sale day and
they will personally go over the bulls and your program to recommend the animal that would meet your needs. Following that, the
Transcon Livestock Team will represent your needs in a professional
and confidential manner.
Health & Fertility
All bulls will be scrotal measured. All bulls over 12 months of age
will be semen tested. All bulls were treated with Ivomec and such
products and have received all their vaccinations. Contact seller for
details on programs.
Semen Interest
High Country retains the right to in herd use semen on any of their
sale bulls at their cost and buyer’s convenience.
EPD Explanation
EPD’s are “Expected Progeny Differences”. They are a useful tool in
selection. EPD’s incorporate the individual animal with its ancenstry
performance. EPD’s do no compare across cattle breeds. They are individual based per breed. EPD’s indicate a probably variance above or
below breed average for that trait for a given bull’s progeny. The accuracy of EPD’s for calendar year bull calves is generally about 20% (one
out of five times) so use it cautiously as one of several selection tools.

First of all we would like to express our gratitude for the tremendous support for our inaugural sale last year. It was an
exciting milestone to host our first sale and we feel the quality of bulls on offer this year will make it equally as exciting.
The future of the cattle industry has never been so bright and we feel privileged to be a part of it with so many great

a starch free protein-mineral supplement to allow for skeletal and muscle development to occur and avoid excess fat

Jagger is the youngest bull in the sale and I
won’t hesitate in telling you he is one of my
picks. It will be hard to believe on sale day that
this bull isn’t even a yearling yet. He was pictured at 8 months of age. Jagger is a natural
calf of our proven donor Beech Bro She Devil,
she has had a huge influence on our program
and is beginning to make a lasting impression
on the industry. From head to tail Jagger is
one of the most complete bulls in the sale. Extremely thick, moderate framed, dark red and
maybe the most style and eye appeal as any
we’ve offered. We have been tempted to retain
this guy but with many relatives in the herd we
feel he can be have a bigger impact in another
program.

A baldy face powerful bull that will keep you coming back for another look. He is extremely long
bodied, carries thickness across his back and down into his hind quarters. He is correct and smooth in
his movement. His dam is one of our top young cows with 2 daughters in the herd and one at Brian
Lundquist’s. Assassin’s grand dam is our oldest cow and at 14 she still has an outstanding udder and
feet. We are proud to have Jerico walking our pastures as he is one of the most impressive herd bulls
you will see. He has become our go-to bull and you’ll see lots more from him in the future.

Shockwave has been a pen favorite since birth,
quickly showing style and mass. Disposition
is a trait very important to us and like many
of the Viper progeny Shockwave shows his
influence. He is dark red, heavily pigmented,
heavily muscled, big barreled, big footed,
huge scrotaled and polled to boot. Shockwave
might be as close to a replica of his great sire
as we’ve had. His dam is a big broody, excellent
footed cow that has been very productive. She
has 3 daughters in our herd who frequently
turn heads. Viper semen is hard to come by so

Wall Street is a powerful polled herd bull prospect. He has an eye appealing, dark cherry red
hair coat and lots of pigmentation. He is long
spined, deep bodied, smooth shouldered and
has lots of growth. He is a maternal brother to
Unbelievable 1U, dam of lot 9 and BEE Eurieka,
the $27,500 bred heifer purchased by Randy
Ward. Ms Suzie has also put 2 more powerful
daughters into our herd. She is one of the cows
we try to show everyone. She is the thickest cow
we have, carries a perfect udder, is awesome

This bull might not be the prettiest in the pen but he will certainly do a great job. Structurally sound,
balanced and well muscled, he will be one to sire a tremendous set of feeder steers. His dam is a solid
patterned feminine cow that traces back to the great JB Hendrika, a cow that can be found in many of
the feature bull’s pedigrees. We were so impressed with Amazon as a calf that we bred Utmost 84U to
Viper again. We were rewarded with a solid colored beautiful heifer calf this year.

Viper has been the most consistent sire of both males and females we have used. He is a unique
blend of calving ease but still enough growth and muscle to make an eye appealing calf in the fall.
Anaconda is out of a tremendous cow family. His full brother was a high seller last year going to the
great program at Granum Colony. After calving out Viper daughters for 2 years now we know he is

A Viper sired embryo calf out of the great Beech Bro She Devil 12S. A flush mate sister was the
$17,000 Summit high seller going to Starwest and a brother BEE Red Dragon was purchased by Tri K
Cattle for $7800. 12A is a smooth made polled bull that has a super calm disposition, deep body and
lots of testicle. She Devil is an impressive, massive middled female that is super fertile. We calved out
an excellent flush sister to 12A and she looks phenomenal with an excellent udder and lots of style.

This cherry red bull could have the most eye appeal in the offering. He is moderate, smooth shouldered,
small headed and is fully pigmented. His dam is an eye appealing first calver we bought from Virginia.
She has a big future ahead of her with an impressive pedigree going back to Romano and the great Lila
101D of Nortons. The Canyon sons sold across western Canada averaged a solid $7,800. Coulee combines
calving ease with added style built in..

Dam: Eagle-Ridge Unbelievable 1U
Here is a bull with an attention demanding presence both in person and on paper. He is stacked with
many of the traits we strive to produce: long round
hip, wide back, extreme depth and a thick hair coat.
Genetically he is an interesting mix of power and
calving ease. We lost Wit in his first breeding season
and are thankful we had some semen in the tank as
his progeny have shown to be outstanding. See the
job a young Wit daughter did on lot 16. Maternally,
Valor is backed by one of our top cow families. He is
a maternal brother to one of our high selling breds
last fall going to Applecross and a ¾ sibling to the
$27,500 bred going to Randy Ward in fall of 2012.
His dam 1U is a model cow; thick and deep with a
tidy little udder that holds lots of milk. Valor ranked
#1 for weaning weight and has a balanced set of
EPD’s.

Armour is a low birth weight bull with a calving ease stacked pedigree, yet he maintains a masculine
build with an abundance of hind end and top. He is smooth polled, smooth shouldered, dark red
and has a solid pigmented face. We purchased JNR’s Sheriff to use as a heifer bull but also maintain
eye appeal. He certainly has accomplished that with his first calf crop. Armour’s mother is a tidy udderd first calver who did an outstanding job on him. A maternal sister to BEE Elsa was purchased by
Langer Fleckvieh this past fall.

Corporal is a moderate framed heavy muscled bull that is smooth polled and smooth made. Nice
foot, soggy and loose made. He’s been a pasture favorite of ours and most visitors all summer. His
young dam has been outstanding for us raising our feature bred heifer last year, who sold to T-F Simmentals. She is a neat pedigreed cow combining fleckvieh matrons Anchor “T” Klasse, South Seven
Fleck 16F, Flossie 51X and DFM Juni. We have been pleased with our first Sheriff calf crop, although
not high in numbers it is high quality.

Carbon is a dark cherry red, long bodied, soggy
middled, deep flanked, smooth moving herd
bull that will impress. His maternal sister, BEE
Mathilda 263Z, created a buzz last fall selling for
$19,750 to Prospect Hill in Ontario. His dam is one
of most correct fleckvieh cows we have and impresses everyone who sees her with her broodiness and perfect udder. We took the trip up to
Crossroads to look at red factor bulls and when
we saw the Radium progeny and Radium himself,
we knew we needed to incorporate him into our
program. We have been very pleased with the
calving ease, growth and style the Radium calves
possess.

One of the most difficult things in the fleckvieh breed is finding a bull that can be safely used on heifers without sacrificing too much performance. Radium is a bull that satisfied us in both those areas.
143A has a moderate birth weight and lots of thickness on a moderate frame. Longevity is bred in
with his 14 year old grand dam still producing strong and calving on time with a great udder and feet
not found on many 2 year old cows. His dam has another awesome Radium calf at side this spring.

We put a lot of emphasis on the strength of cow families and productivity. Atomic comes from one of
the best. This cow family mostly has bull calves so is slow to build. 166A’s grand dam, RRV Nolana (dam
of lot 3), came from Green Hill Ranch. When we had the opportunity to purchase some bred cows from
the Verts this past summer and we jumped at the opportunity which included another 6 cows out of the
same cow family. Atomic himself is a hairy, dark red, smooth shouldered bull with lots of rib.

Element has been a favorite of visitors and
when you see him in person you will know why.
Element has a low birth weight, an excellent
EPD package, extreme length, massive hip, lots
of pigment, beautiful stride and maternally is
backed by a phenomenal young cow. Like most
Wit daughters, her udder is so tidy you’d expect
her to lack milk but she continually weans off
the some of the heaviest calves, like Element
who was 868 lbs on the 1st of sept. She also has
2 very productive daughters with similar udders
and big time milk. Circle this bull.

Amigo is out of the same cow family that produced the big tan lead off bull that Granum Colony
purchased last year. He is long, deep and just plain good. In our opinion he is one of the best bulls
in the pen, despite having a little white on his shoulder. This is the first bull calf out of the great DFM
Sage 602S. She has two high selling daughters working in Manitoba and a fancy one retained in our
herd. Sage has an excellent udder and we expect great maternal traits from Radium.

Here is a younger fleckvieh bull with a moderate frame, lots of thickness and pigmentation. His dam

This bull has a big frame and is soggy, loose made, polled and solid pigmented. He weaned off the
cow just shy of 950 lbs with no pasture creep. We are really pleased with the performance of these
polled bulls who compete with any horned bull in the sale. Absolutes dam is a neat cow with a ton
of pigmentation, nice feet and a wicked udder. We have two of her daughters in the herd and Dallas

Ale is a moderate deep-bodied bull that has that thick Revolution hair coat. If someone were to ask
me to take a picture of a perfect udder, 18X would be the first cow that would come to mind. It is

Azzer is a dark red long spined bull. His dam is the only daughter we have ever gotten out of the
537R cow since she arrived in 2007. With a moderate 100lbs birth weight Azzer should calve easy

Here is a black bull that we have been watching since the day he was born. Alpha is a natural calf

Ancher is another son of our homo black Kong bull. This bull is a thick butted, wide topped bull that
is smooth made. Ancher is deep sided with a great hair coat and just over a year old. His dam MOE
21X came from Mappin Simmentals. In the summer of 2011 we went for a visit and were given the

Antic will be the first bull to sell out of our newest black herd bull, Skors Joker. Due to him being a
yearling we only gave him a small group of cows to breed. We were so pleased with how easy his
calves were born that we decided to use him in the heifer pen last year where his was responsible
for breeding close to 50 head. Antic himself is an easy moving bull with a deep rib cage and lots of

Here is the second Joker son that we have on offer this year. Asgard’s dam is out of a female we
purchased from GSB Simmentals. She is a long bodied female that has loads of milk. Asgard is a
bull with a smooth face and front end followed by a good rib cage and then ends with a wide rear
quarter. This guy will allow you to sleep easy during calving season. These Joker sons are built right

very impressive square hip, all of which really
impressed us. Zerox’s EPDs show him as being in

and grand dam have had beautiful square udders that are full of milk. Upgrade, his sire, has
left females with high-attached udders with

Mentor has been an extremely long spined bull since the day he was born. His mother was a first calf heifer

As you have probably already noted this bull has a little more age on him compared to his pen
mates. Last year, when it was picturing time (end of December 2012), we decided that we wanted
to keep another really good red bull to offer in our two-year old program this year and a good
Revolution seemed like a natural choice. Quantum, a deep sided, dark red, hairy, long spined bull

This dark red blaze faced bull is the natural calf to our 95P flush cow. The worst part about flushing a cow in the spring is it frequently pushes her natural calf back. We felt Stoke was just a little
young for last years sale so we are offering him now. Take a good look here. He is a full brother
to our two high selling red bulls from last year’s sale, who went to Willow Creek Simmentals and
T-F Simmentals, and a maternal brother was a high seller to Clint Morlock in 2012. If you like the

Zander is an extremely long spined, wide topped, deep ribbed bull that came to us in a female we
purchased from GSB Simmentals. We were really impressed with the amount of milk she had and
are happy to report that this year she gave us a nice Joker heifer for our replacement heifer pen.
Zander has always been a bull that has put on pounds with very little feed. These two year olds
will go out and get the job done. With a little extra age they will be able to cover more cows. There
aren’t a lot around in the Simmental breed so we recommend you take a look.

Commercial Heifers
New this year will be the inclusion of 15 fancy open yearling commercial heifers that will sell in groups of three. In an
effort to gear the sale more towards the interests of our commercial beef producer cliental, we’ve dug deep into our
commercial herd replacement pen. These solid patterned, cherry red females with some blaze and brockle faces, are all
daughters of our purebred herd bull battery. Viper, Wit, Rio, Tallahassee, Anarchy and Shooter are represented. Most
are 1/2 Fleckvieh 1/2 Red Factor and multi-generation Simmental. These are out of a program that’s been developed
over the past 30 years and we are very proud of this portion of our farming operation. Cattle have been selected for
udder quality, milking ability, sound structure, reproductive efficiency and high productivity. Pictured are an example
of commercial cows, many of whom are related to our sale heifers.

TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location. The right of property shall not pass
until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement
before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves
full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising
from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be
made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released.
BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise
provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest
bidder.
SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos and trucking fees (if listed), respective to
the home province of the buyer, not the seller.
DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the

PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the
purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.
INFORMATION SUPPLIED - The information contained in this catalogue is believed to be true and accurate. However, the information has been supplied by the seller and neither Transcon Livestock Corp. or Freelance Photo-Graphics assume any responsibility if the information supplied is not accurate.
ANNOUNCEMENTS from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are
therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and
duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility
of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.
SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping
instructions when making settlement.
BREEDER’S GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies
are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price.
EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction
techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.
HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province
or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.
ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales
Management, auctioneer, consignors or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the
buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a
separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms
and conditions of this sale.
TRANSCON LIVESTOCK CORP. IS AGENT ONLY - It is to be clearly understood that Transcon Livestock Corp. is
only acting as a medium between buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either
party to live up to his obligations, neither does Transcon Livestock Corp. assume any financial obligations to collect or
enforce collection of any monies between parties, and any legal action that may, in exceptional cases, be taken, must
be between buyer and seller.
The Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who
has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with the owner or Sale Managers.
