SATURDAY, JUNE 21
FLIGHT TO CAIRO
Depart from Johannesburg 21:45 to Israel via Cairo on Egypt Air.
DAY 1: SUNDAY, JUNE 22
ARRIVE CAIRO/ PYRAMIDS/MEMPHIS/SPHINX
Breakfast at hotel. Upon arrival we will visit the great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Transfer to hotel.

DAY 2: MONDAY, JUNE 23
FLIGHT TO TEL AVIV/JAFFA/CAESERIA/HAIFA/BAHAI SHRINE
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Tel Aviv arriving mid. day. On arrival meet our representative and start our tour with a short visit to Jaffa and its old port and to Caesarea, Roman and a Crusader city. Beyond the streets of shops in Caesarea is the Crusader City, which was protected by stout walls and projecting bastions within a deep moat. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ. We continue our drive along the coast to Haifa to visit the Bahai Shrine and its most magnificent gardens stretch all along the slopes of Mt. Carmel.

DAY 3: TUESDAY, JUNE 24
MT. CARMEL/NAZARETH/CANA/MT. BEATITUDES/TABGHA/ CAPERNAUM/BOAT RIDE/FISH LUNCH/ Breakfast at hotel. Our first visit is to Mt. Carmel / Mukhraka, where Elijah held a contest against the false prophets of Ba’al to prove whose god is more powerful. We continue to Nazareth where Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to announce the birth of Jesus and where his spent his childhood. Not far is Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine at a wedding. Our next stop is Mt. Beatitudes a site where Jesus preached the Sermon. And performed the miracles. Near by is Tabgha, where 5000 were fed by Jesus, whom performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves. We proceed to Capernaum a wealthy Jewish town in time of the Romans and where Jesus met his first disciples. Here he preached and performed many miracles. Here are also the remains of a Jewish synagogue dated 4th century. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch and a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee at kibbutz Ein Gev. Also hear how Jesus calmed the stormy sea and walked upon these waters. Overnight ­ Galilee (B,L,D)
DAY 4: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25
KIBBUTZ TOUR/ GOLAN HEIGHTS/CAESARIA PHILIPPI/KIBBUTZ/ YARDENIT BAPTISMAL
After breakfast we travel to the northern tip of Galilee below Mt. Hermon. We will visit the site of Caesaria Philippi. The city Paneas was given to King Herod, where he built a palace to Caesar. His son Phillppi embellished the town and made it his capital. There is also Banias water falls, one of the main sources of Jordan River. We then ascend the Golan Heights to Tel Fagher, the main Syrian’s outpost bunkers overlooking the Hula valley, where one of the fiercest battle took place when Israel captured the Golan Heights during the 1967 war. Your guide will explain why this area is so vital to Israel’s security. We travel down to Kibbutz for an optional lunch (not include in tour price) and a tour of the kibbutz to learn about this unique way of life. We continue to Yardenit Baptismal site on the Jordan River, where time will be available for an optional baptismal service. In the evening, join us for Communion.

JERUSALEM OLD CITY/TAMPLE MOUNT/DOME OF THE ROCK/POOL OF BATESDA/ECCE HOMO/VIA DOLOROSA/HOLY SEPULCHER/ UPPER ROOM LAST SUPPER/ ORIENTAL BAZAR/WESTERN WALL/JEWISH QUARTER/MT. OF OLIVES/GARDEN OF GETHSEMENE/HEZEKIAH WATER TUNNEL/GARDEN TOMB/CAIPHAS PALACE
After breakfast we travel along the Jordan Valley and ascending Jerusalem the “eternal city” of God. Visit the Old City of Jerusalem. Jews, Christians and Moslems alike know the Biblical and historical importance of Jerusalem. At the start we walk up Temple Mount and view Dome of the Rock mosque. Your guide will tell to you about the battle of Jerusalem’s old city during the 1967 war. We continue to Pools of Bethesda, located just north of the temple mount, where Jesus healed the man at the waters of the pool. Near by is Ecce Homo where Jesus trial took place. Walk through some part of Via Dolorosa stations and stop by the Church of Holly Sepulcher Arch near Golgotha. Here Jesus was crucified, buried, as some believe, and resurrected. . We will then walk up to the Upper Room of the Last Supper. We continue to walk along the Oriental Bazar to visit the Western Wall, the most sacred site to the Jews and from there to Jewish Quarter. We will then drive up Mt. Of Olives. Here over looking the Temple, Jesus taught his disciples, prophesized the destruction of Jerusalem. From here the entire city of Jerusalem unfolds before us. On its slope is Garden of Gathsemane where Jesus was taken captive. We then visit Hezekiah’s Tunnel or Siloam Tunnel that was dug underneath the Ophel, leading from the Gihon Spring to the Pool of Siloam and was designed as an aquaduct to provide Jerusalem with water during an impending siege by the Assyrians. According to an inscription, two teams excavated the tunnel, one starting at each end of the tunnel and then meeting in the middle. Our next visit is to Garden Tomb, where many Protestants believe Jesus was buried (Time will be available for communion service). Our last visit today is to Caiphas Palace.

DAY 6: FRIDAY, JUNE 27
JERUSALEM NEW CITY/YAD VASHEM/SHRINE OF THE BOOK/BETHLEHEM*/SHE{HERED FIELDS/EIN KAREM
After breakfast begin the day with a visit to Yad Vashem, a memorial to the Six Million Jews that lost their lives in the Holocaust. We will then visit Book of the Shrine where the Dead Sea scrolls are on display. We then visit the picturesque village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist and where Virgin Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth. According to tradition she stopped the to drink from the water stream on her way to Bethlehem to give birth to Jesus. Overnight ­ Jerusalem (B,D)

DAY 8: SUNDAY, JUNE 29
HUSSEIN BORDER CROSSING/MT. NEBO/PETRA
Early morning transfer to Hussein border crossing and we continue to Mt. Nebo, Mosses burial place, as most believe. Continue to Petra., the legacy city of the Nabateans, an industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2000 years ago. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels. Much of Petra's appeal comes from its spectacular setting deep inside a narrow desert gorge. The site is accessed by walking through a kilometer long chasm walls, soar 200 meters upwards.

Breakfast at hotel. This morning we tour Petra and in the afternoon we travel through the desert road to Arava crossing on the way to Eilat. Transfer to hotel.

DAY 10: TUESDAY, JULY 1
EILAT/UNDERWATER AQUARIUM/ TIMNA PARK/SOLOMON’S PILLARS/DEAD SEA
Breakfast at hotel. This morning we will visit the Underwater Aquarium displaying the rich and beautiful Red Sea life. Those that are interested can enjoy Coral Reef Diving (optional). In the afternoon we drive north and stop at Timna Park, the earliest copper mines from time of King Solomon. In the shadow of the huge rocks known as Solomon’s Pillars, an Egyptian temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor has been discovered. We continue our drive to the Dead Sea. Enjoy a float in the salty water of the Dead Sea and rub yourself in the minerals rich mud

DAY 11: WENESDAY, JULY 2
EIN GEDI/ MASSADA/QUMRAN/TEL AVIV
Breakfast at hotel. We start the day with a short visit to Ein Gedi a biblical waterfall oasis where David withdrew with his men in his flight from King Saul. We ascend by cable car on top of Massada.
Our guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Descend Massada. We then continue to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and a place where the Essenes, a monastic brotherhood lived and devoted itself to asceticism. Some of their teachings were close to early Christianity. We will now ascend the hills of Jerusalem on our way to Tel Aviv, the business capital of Israel, a city that “never goes to sleep”.

DAY 12: THURSDAY, JULY 3
FLIGHT TO CAIRO/EGIPTIAN MUSEUM/NILE CRUISE
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Cairo. On arrival visit the Egyptian Museum and in the evening enjoy dinner Nile Cruise before transfer to the airport your flight home Friday 01:30 AM.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS & SITES: All hotel accommodations are based on standard rooms. The hotels are subject to availability at time of booking. TOUR SEQUENCE: The sequence of visits to sites may change according to the discretion of the tour operator and guide in consultation with the tour leader, if they deem necessary. In case sequence is changed, all items on the itinerary will still be covered. Sightseeing marked (*) are subject to situation.
RESERVATIONS & SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS: All reservations for this tour are confirmed upon receipt of your Registration Form and a non­refundable deposit, which is due upon reservation. The final payment is due April 10, 2008, unless airlines call for forward ticketing. Should departure be sooner than 6 weeks between booking and departure, full payment will be required once confirmation of flights and accommodation have been secured. LAND & AIRFARES: Air and land rates of this tour are based on current tariffs in effect today.
♦ Flight tickets are based on NON­REFUNDABLE group airfare. Airfares are based on a group of minimum 20 passengers. Prices are subject to increases by the airline according to availability at time of booking. Amendments of reservation permitted but may be subject to penalty by airline. ♦ Land fares (70% of the tour price) are subject to currency rate of exchange fluctuations, based on the bank’s selling rate $1.00 = R7.80. ♦ Airport taxes and fuel charges are subject to changes by the airline, finalized when the tickets are issued.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: The Initial deposit is non­refundable. “Final payment” is fully refundable (excluding the non­refundable deposits) until April 15, 2008. Thereafter cancellations become non­refundable and can only be recovered through a travel insurance policy. All cancellations must be made in writing to Heavenly Int. Tours. Travel insurance is highly recommended and available through Heavenly Int. Tours office.

VISAS: South Africans passport holders currently don’t need a visa to Israel. They do need for Jordan and Egypt. .
Cost of visas is not included.
UNUSED SERVICES: No refund will be made for unused touring, meals or any other program components stated in the itinerary.
PASSPORT: Valid S.A passport for 6 months after return date to S.A is required. Complete Passport information as requested in the enclosed Registration Form must be submitted to Heavenly International Tours. Please note: If you don not have a passport, please apply within a proper time limit. It can take up to 12 weeks to process.
FEES EXCLUDED: Passport Fees, Travel Insurance, meals, drinks, wines, liquors and beverages not mentioned in itinerary, items of personal nature; such as telephone, laundry, room service and sites other than those mentioned. Tips to guide, driver and hotel staff are not included. PURCHASE OF MERCHANDISE: Heavenly International Tours is not to be held responsible for any item/s purchased during the tour, not for their quality nor their prices. All and any purchase will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
TOUR DATES: As in any international flight, tour dates may slightly change according to the requirements of the participating air carrier. Please allow yourself some flexibility.
