In my work here at Cedar Park I have been able
to live out my two great and compelling passions;
the first is to build the kingdom of God wherever
he may direct us, and secondly to do the work of
the Holy Spirit in guiding people into their
intended purpose and bringing them to their
fullest potential in God. Cedar Park church is
connected to the Assemblies of God, and the
Assemblies of God is the largest Protestant
movement in Washington State. Collectively we
have over 65,000 people in our churches on
Sundays with adherents of over 250,000. There’s a
great responsibility that comes with being given
the widest Christian breadth of impact in a region.

potential. How we become the people of God at
Cedar Park will take place largely through how we
grow spiritually and that is an outcome of
engaging in worship and ministry in our faith
community. That is why we have arranged ministry
as we have and how we have presented it in this
ministry catalog. There is ample opportunity to
experience spiritual growth by attending worship
services, finding a place in our classes and small
groups, and by engaging in Christian service.

2nd SUNDAY
3RD SUNDAY
COMMUNION
MISSIONS
INFANT
DEDICATION
The first Sunday of every
month, we remember the
Lord in Holy Communion.
Communion is usually
served at the altars. As you
make your way to the
front, use it as a time for
examination and
confession.
It is not required that you
be a member of Cedar
Park to participate in
communion; you need
only to belong to the Lord.
Parents should determine
when their children are
ready to participate in
communion service.
The second Sunday of
the month, we hear
reports from those in the
field whom we currently
support.
Cedar Park Church
contributes to the monthly
support of full time, career
missionaries.
We ask that you prayerfully
participate in world
missions giving by making
an offering above your
regular tithe.
The third Sunday of the
month, we dedicate infants
and children.
We follow the practice of
presenting our children
to the Lord, just as Jesus
was presented by Mary
and Joseph. They are
presented to the Lord by
their parents in front of the
congregation. We do not
baptize infants or small
children.
Family members are
welcome to stand with the
parents as their children are
dedicated.
For registration please
call the church offices at
425-488-3600.
4TH SUNDAY
MEMBERSHIP
The fourth Sunday of the
month is dedicated to
receiving new members
into our fellowship.
Membership is strongly
encouraged but not
required to attend Cedar
Park.
Membership classes are
held throughout the year.

A completely Christian curriculum internalizes a
Biblical world view within the student’s
heart and mind, providing a solid foundation.
Christian teachers model God’s love to instill
character and worth into each student, and to fortress them for the challenges of life.
Christian activities create real life opportunities to
develop the fruits of self-discipline,

Service Times: Softer Sundays
A Place to Inspire the Living
The celebration of life and beauty, given to us by the Lord, is what the Chapel of the Resurrection is all about. Everything about the Chapel is meant to
inspire the living with the hope of the Resurrection and the glory of our Christ.
The Chapel of the Resurrection reminds the living of our faith, the priorities of our living, and the eternal rewards beyond our death. It reclaims the hope
that has motivated every generation of Christians since the beginning of the Church.
The Chapel fills a need for Christians who want to express their faith in a distinctively Christian manner by caring for the remains of their loved ones and
placing them where families will find comfort and assurance in our certainty of heaven.
Sundays at 9am in the Chapel
A mix of hymns and sacred choruses you’re sure to recognize and cherish.
Sacred Space
Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the lovely artwork
depicting noted biblical events, inspiring you for a
wonderful, spirit-filled touch from the Lord.
We encourage you to come if you have any needs for healing prayer, along with
any other prayer requests. We love to pray with you and for you. We look forward to
seeing you in Softer Sunday.
Real Community
Funeral Home
Mausoleum
We provide many services from
which you can choose. Our
licensed funeral directors will walk
you through the entire process and
help you make the choices that
are comfortable for you and your
family.
Lining the back exterior of the
Chapel are hundreds of crypts for
casket burial, niches for cremated
remains and memorial cenotaphs.
Those coming to remember loved
ones are inspired by the beautiful
surroundings.
Our prices are typically 25%– 50%
less expensive than comparable
funeral homes.
In every funeral arrangement,
you need a funeral provider and
place for burial. We can provide
both for you, either together or
independently.

until the time of need to make
important decisions about funeral
and burial arrangements.
Making decisions now, in a more
relaxed atmosphere, will greatly
ease the burden later.
Paying today means your loved
ones will not have to pay any
additional expenses when the time
of need occurs.
Once you have purchased a funeral
plan at today’s prices, the major
part of the expenses (including the
services, casket or urn) are not only
paid for, but guaranteed.
We have coffee and pastries available before and after
service while you fellowship with your friends and guests.
Relationships and intimacy with the Lord are the keynote
points of a service such as this.
Deeper Relationships
Experience everything you have been looking for in a softer,
spiritually uplifting, and touching worship style. We offer a
combination of favorite hymns and choruses, which you are
sure to recognize and cherish. Pastor Sue Timpe leads the
morning with worship, followed by Pastor Joe’s message.
The service is then concluded with an opportunity for
personal prayer with our Pastors.
Our goal is to help you build a deeper relationship with
the Lord and with fellow worshippers. Enjoy fellowship,
worship, teaching, prayer, and refreshments.

Reaching Out
Cedar Park Church reaches out to the community by providing a five-day
overnight summer camp for children who have experienced abuse and
neglect and are or were in the foster care system. Many of these children
have severe emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
The goal of this camp is to introduce these hurting children to God’s love
and provide a week of positive memories in the midst of difficult lives.
Many fun activities take place including a tea party for the girls and laser
tag for the boys, a big birthday party, crafts, woodworking, a campfire, a
talent show, a car and motorcycle show, inflatables, and daily chapels.
Campers go home with many fun memories, a Bible, a music CD, and a
photo album full of pictures to help them remember the week.
VOLUNTEER NEEDS:
There are many different roles to fill at camp including counselors (age 18
and older), photographers, nurses, behind the scenes help, tea party and
birthday party volunteers, woodworking and craft-area vounteers, and
technical support. We will be accepting applications for next year’s camp
in February. Training is provided for all volunteers. Please consider joining
us next July! You will never be the same!
Fund Raising
Foster families do not pay for camp so all funds come solely from
donations. It costs over $700 per camper for a week of camp. We are a nonprofit organization and all donations go directly to the camp. Checks can
be made out to Cedar Park Church or Royal Family Kids’ Camp (RFKC). We
greatly appreciate all matching funds from corporations. We are looking
for people interested in being on our fundraising committee.
Donations Needed
Please consider giving a financial gift to help send a foster child to camp
and make a difference in a hurting child’s life. We also appreciate gift
cards, such as, Target, Fred Meyer, Costco, Michaels, and Home Depot.
THANK YOUS
“Thank you for providing help to send K. to camp this year. RFKC is
a magical place for her. She is given the opportunity to grow and to
stretch herself in faith as well as life. She comes home each year a wiser
and happier child. Thank you so much for everything you have done
to create an atmosphere where kids can laugh, cry, and experience the
special magic of camp. A special thanks to all who have contributed to
RFKC.”
“I wanted to write you and tell you and the staff at camp thank you very
much. My son R. was the happiest I have seen him in a long time after
camp. Please let everyone know that all the love and support given to
these children shows and they will forever hold these memories close to
their hearts.”
“God bless you and your entire organization! Last week was the best
week in B’s life. What a rewarding experience for our little guy. I asked if
he wanted to return next year and he said...’NEXT WEEK!’ We noticed a
big change when he returned from camp!”
Thank you so much for partnering with us this year as we ministered
God’s love to 66 campers in 2014!

Men’s Small Groups:
What Love Is, the Letters of 1, 2, 3 John | By Kelly Minter
January 14th - February 25th | Wednesdays | 8:45-10am | CP Church: Friendship Room | Led by Jodi Allen
These books were written to encourage followers of Jesus to remain faithful to the truth. Through this study, believers are challenged to look at contrasting
themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies, and loving God more than loving the world.
Book of John, Life of Jesus
January 15th - February 26th | Thursdays | 9:30-11am | CP Church: Room 117 | Led by Phyllis Robertson
Come study the insightful book of John from the perspective of Christ’s divinity. John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have
seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Best Yes | By Lysa Terkeurst
January 14th - February 25th | Wednesdays | 6:30-8pm | CP Church: Music Room, 101 | Led by Elaine Spiller & Teresa Baker
The Best Yes helps bring perspective to women who live with the stress of an overwhelmed schedule and ache with the sadness of an underwhelmed
soul. You will learn that there is a big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God.
Wednesdays | January 14 - TBD | 6:30-8:30pm | High School Room 320
Get into the Word of God with other men. Our emphasis is continuously on understanding the practical applications in men’s lives today.

Intercessors, Discover Your Prayer Power | By Elizabeth Alves
January 14th - February 25th | Wednesdays | 9:30-11am | CP Church: Treehouse Room, 2nd Floor | Led by Lisa Putnam
We are all on a mission from God, and He has equipped us in unique ways to carry our His plans working through the power of prayer. As we study this book
together we will learn how to pray from our strengths!
Lioness Arising | By Lisa Bevere
January 14th - March 4th | Wednesdays | 9:30-11am | Northshore Church | Led by Becky Smith
In this 8 week study, we will study the life and image of the lioness as a fierce and tender model for women to wake up, rise up, and change the world.
Throughout the study we will parallel the similarities between a real lioness and God’s intentions for the female race.
Jonah: Navigating A Life Interrupted | By Priscilla Shirer
January 15th - February 25th | Thursdays | 9:00-11am | CP Church: Treehouse Room, 2nd Floor | Led by Pastor Lori Nelson
Interruptions. They’re aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. But how we handle interruptions actually tells us more about ourselves. The prophet Jonah’s
existence was interrupted by a call of God that would require a complete change of life. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result
26 was revival in an entire city.

DivorceCare is a support group that realizes that isolation can intensify the hurts, fatigue, and frustrations that comes from divorce. Led by Dennis and
Cindy Kessner, Divorce Care has several activities throughout the winter for individuals and families to experience the love of God and the fellowship
of his people. You do not need to be registered for a class to participate. Just drop us an e-mail and we will add you to our activities notification list.
For more information, you may e-mail [email protected] with questions or for pre-registration. We look forward to meeting with you and
working together to take steps towards forgiveness of oneself and others.

Divorce Care is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside
you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through
separation or divorce alone. The Divorce Care seminar and support
group is led by people who understand what you are going through
and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable Divorce Care resources
to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding
your life.
The Act of Forgiveness is a 12 week, biblically based program to help
dissolve the barrier between you and God. This program is designed for
those recovering from divorce, but is recommended for all Christians.
Divorce Care is a 13 week video seminar series featuring some of the
nation’s foremost Christian experts on divorce and recovery topics as
seen from a biblical perspective. The video seminars are combined with
support group discussion materials. Each session is a standalone topic.
Join anytime, we welcome new members each week.

Based on the book, The Bait of Satan, this series exposes one of the
most deceptive snares Satan uses to get believers out of the will of God.
Offense! Most people who are ensnared by the bait of Satan don’t even
realize it. Don’t be fooled!
After an offense many of us become inward and guarded, unconditional
love becomes impossible because we will not risk being hurt. Our love
grows cold. The walls we erect for our protection from further hurt
become our prison instead. Doubts about God’s goodness arise as we
filter everything through hurts of the past and experiences of rejection.
Believing God becomes harder and harder. We become unable to
function in our calling, incapable of reaching our full potential because
of wounds and offenses.
