They have no purpose for living. They live on the verge of sadness. They are afraid to peer over and see what is next. They live from experience to experience, hoping to find a bit of happiness in their lives to cover their loneliness and purposelessness. In the book of Micah, we can peep into God’s future plans. Let us live with hope in our hearts, hope in our lives, and hope in the life of this church – hope that will be attractive to people who are searching for meaning, searching for community, and searching for acceptance. God has a marvelous plan, an exciting design that carries on into eternity. God invites us to participate in His sovereign plan. Join me in responding to God’s plan. Gilda Roddy, Pastoral Care Together in Prayer If you have ever wondered why, how, or when to intercede in prayer for the church, this is for you. Jesus invites us to do so. We’re looking for about 150 extras for five short videos. If you’re interested in acting or serving for a few hours or a few days, visit our website at lluc.org to fill out a volunteer form. Family Fun Nights: Join in the summer fun for the whole family every Wednesday in July from 6 to 8 p.m. Activities will include water slides, bouncy balls, corn dogs, shaved ice, and the biggest slip and slide you ever fell down on! Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Quilters will not meet in the month of July. Please remember to support the Quilters Ministry through the summer by bringing cloth, thread, yard, or backing to the church office. The quilts are donated to the SACHS clinic and to LLUMC for babies in need.
