Aidacare & CAEATI
Aidacare, in conjunction with our supply partners are proud to be
recognised suppliers of a large number of products listed on the
current MASS SOA (Standing Offer Arrangement).
The Community Aids, Equipment and Assistive Technologies
Initiative (CAEATI) helps people with a disability participate in their
communities by providing subsidy funding for a range of aids,
equipment and assistive technologies.
The SOA is a list of preferred products which MASS is offered
for purchase at contracted prices. Each product has a MASSspecific order form, which must be completed and submitted with
the application.
Aidacare offer a broad range of services to MASS prescribers and
clients including:
• Access to an extensive range of SOA and other demonstration
stock for trial throughout Queensland
• Specialist sales staff to assist with trials and support prescription
of customised and specialised equipment
• Clinical specialists to provide additional advice
and support for healthcare professionals
• Clinical education and support
• Service & repair field technicians
• General customer service and support including the booking of
equipment trials

CAEATI Order Process and Funding
Prescribers conduct specialist assessments to determine the
assistive technology that meets the needs of clients. Aidacare
then offers a service or product that provides the best solution for
the client. Once a suitable device has been trialled and selected,
prescribers work with the client to complete and submit the relevant
application form. Specific eligibility, application and documentation
requirements are provided in the CAEATI Guidelines.

Funding is capped at $10,000 per client for a period of 3 years. The
scheme allows funding towards the cost of a registered therapist
to assist the client with the application process ($500 maximum per
application up to a maximum of $800 every 3 years).
The scheme subsidises the costs of:
• a registered therapist to assist the client in completing the full
CAEATI application
• assistive technology to aid communication, mobility and
physical access to the community
• assistive technology to aid with active participation in
recreational and civic activities
• postural support to improve functional participation
Eligible prescribers:
• Qualified occupational therapists, physiotherapists or speech
therapists registered with their relevant professional body.

Self Propelling Conversion Kit
The Self Propelling Conversion Kit includes rear wheels, anti tippers and brakes.
The wheels are 22” in diameter and feature a quick release axle for easier removal
and conversion. It can be fitted in all commode models,with the exception of the
Economy model (BTC065850) and the 600mm Platform model (BTC061400). It is
also possible to convert a self propelling commode back to an attendant propelled
version, with the addition of 4 locking casters.
