This new copper castings facility provided added manufacturing capacity and flexibility as well as
production cost improvements. Quackenbush Co. was responsible for the installation of all major
equipment, ductwork, process and service piping systems. Included were two 46,000-lb. casting
tanks; three electric induction melting furnaces; two charging conveyors each weighing 100,00 lbs.:
a process cooling tower; and pumps, vessels, pipe, valves and fittings. The entire project was
completed within eight months.
