Instructions for installing the DJAuto HBM115-1S0EEX
BiXenon lights with daytime running lights suitable for BMW E 39
1.) Remove existing lights:
2.) Remove bracket:
3.) Install the supplied new bracket:
4.) Install the new BiXenon head lamps:
5.) Install sealing strip between bumper and head lamps:
6.) Screw on and fix the head lamps:
7.) Connect high beam / low beam and headlamp leveling with on-board plugs of the vehicle:
8.) Choose suitable location for xenon ballasts. If necessary, make appropriate metal holder:
9.) Connect the black ground wire of the supplied wiring kit for Daytime Running Light to on-board
ground screw:
10.) Connect the 2 red wires with O-ring terminal to battery plus (terminal 30) of the engine:
11.) Connect the yellow wire to the on-board wire (green / gray) for parking light by using the blue
clip:
12.) Connect the right side head lamps with the left side head lamps by using the supplied wiring kit:
13.) Connect side indicator and parking light at facelift version from 9/2000 with on-board
connectors. Use for "prior facelift" models, where appropriate, Hella Adapter 8KB 157 198-801:
14.) Place the wires clean and protected and secure with cable ties:
15.) Check the lighting system:
Start the engine to confirm that the DRL function of the head lamp (no tail lamps) turns on:
Turn on the low beam function of the head lamp, the DRL function should turn off automatically:
Turn on the high beam. The Xenon headlight switch from low beam to high beam:
Turn on the position lamp. All 4 rings are in function:
Turn off the head lamp and engine. The DRL function should turn off within 5 – 6 seconds:
16.) Adjust head lamps correctly:
The installation was made to a:
BMW E 39 / registered first on July 28, 2000
Diesel engine / full equipment including standard xenon headlights, leveling system and head lamp
washing system, no standard daytime running light circuit
