Untitled - The Class of 2020
CEUR Foundation (European Centre for
University and Research) was founded in 1990
in Bologna by the synergies between university
professors, businessmen and professionals;
it works for the cultural education of young
university students by creating and managing
University Residences of Merit, as well as
fostering research and scientific cooperation
between students and teachers, according
to the most authentic university tradition.
CEUR Foundation creates a network of
university residences called Camplus where
the educational aspect, in support of the
academic activity of the most important
universities, integrates with accommodation,
thus proposing students, graduates, and young
researchers, both Italians and foreigners, a
fully integrated experience of life.
Higher education and the development of
research are two main aspects of CEUR
project. The mission of the Foundation is that
of offering chances to relate and share ideas,
paths and tools to appraise the individual
merit, talents and critical sense. The goal is
that of building responsible adults, able to
interpret and foster a society based on the
principle of the social experience of mankind,
and oriented towards the common good.
The Foundation is part of the Conference of
the University Residences of Merit (CCUM),
which coordinates and patronizes common as
well as interchange activities between
the residences.
One letter for
an infinite value.
Knowing, sharing, taking care.
These are values which identify and unite all
of us; actions anyone can do in his/her own
way, a unique way; like the features of his/her
face, like the genes of the DNA. Every person,
no matter his/her age or conditions, has an
infinite value which is realised in a place
through relationships and connections.
In our university residences Camplus, located
in Milano, Torino, Bologna, and Catania, your
wish to discover your own value becomes a
real possibility. It is an unexpected feeling:
mirroring yourself in the people you meet
thus discovering a new image of yourself,
with undefined features. An image which
is different from all the others, and so
extraordinary that triggers in everything you
do a never-ending desire to learn about it more
and more.
You can’t understand
who you want to become
if you don’t know who
you are.
Living university
as a protagonist.
Living the university experience as a
protagonist, taking care of that precious thing
you have in your hands. This is what Camplus
suggests every day to its students, in every
aspect of their life: during classes, during
study, in the relationships with friends and
teachers, when searching for cultural interests,
nurturing their passions, building their future.
Every activity within Camplus educational
project tells young students an unmistakable
message: the university experience is your
chance to understand who you want to
become by discovering who you are sharing a
commitment in real life.
learning
Finding hidden
treasures in every
opportunity.
Anyone ready to live at Camplus decided to
accept a great challenge: considering university
not just as an expected step of your life, but
the chance to open yourself to the possibility of
knowing, growing up and sharing with others.
Talent and merit:
the contribution
of a single person,
a value for everyone.
If you act like that, you will surprise your
talent: a mark, a gift, a unique inclination,
because no one else has it in the same way
or with the same intensity. This is your own
value, and teachers will help you to overcome
daily difficulties in order to let it develop;
so, everyone’s duty will be an important
contribution to the whole society. That’s why
Camplus believes in merit: the right support
and a necessary reward to develop the talent,
not just as an end to itself, but to bring quality
and innovation for everyone.
Sharing with others: the
driving force for the growth
of every person and
project.
sharing
Discovering,
knowing,
living together.
“Everyone” expresses a sense of community,
the one which permeates Camplus experience.
If you really want to grow up – that is:
discovering yourself and the reality around
you; the capability to develop what is given
to you, making it a quality contribution – you
have to share your efforts, your actions,
your aspirations.
Relationships:
the right way
not to get lost.
Historically, the isolation of the self and the
attempt to destroy relationships brought to
big economic, political and especially human
crisis, where the infinite value of the person
got lost and replaced by logics of power,
depersonalization, false myths. Camplus made
community life and the relationships with the
context around you – educational, institutional,
social – its strong point.
taking
care
Paying attention,
self-commitment,
taking care: the
basis of quality.
A constant sharing of ideas with others and
self-reflection, based on values such as
attention, respect and commitment to your duty
as a student – and future professional – and
to the reality around you. The same values
which are at the basis of the educational
proposal, the accommodation services, and the
quality contribution of each Camplus residence
to the surrounding reality.
Being helped and
helping to increase
quality and interest.
Educating for
a real and useful
growing-up.
And so, by taking care of the students, of the
place they live at, of their inclinations and
aspirations, it is possible to educate them on a
useful commitment for a real growth.
Thanks to the relationship with Camplus team,
the students become really valuable adults,
able to develop innovative and original paths
which bring positive contributions on the long
run in the fields of research, labour and society.
At the service
of the person.
space
Since 2007, Camplus opens its doors to
thousands of talented young people, whether
they have just bet on their present to build
their future, or they have been in the
self-discovery process for a while. Camplus
opens its doors to anyone realising that the
future is in his/her hands too; to anyone
looking for a safe place to stay, a starting point
for a new university and life adventure.
In fact, Camplus is first of all a house: nice,
comfortable, welcoming.
A place to start
the university
adventure.
living
The importance of
inhabiting: living
the relationships,
expressing yourself.
Where are you living? With who? are frequent
questions among university students, which
means that the place you live at is very
important because there is where you grow up
and express yourself; it’s not just a place
of transit.
That’s the true difference: Camplus has
been able to intercept the importance of
living, creating a new concept of shared
accommodation, where the space is at the
service of people and relationships.
Shared
residential
accommodations.
A complete and positive offer for an important
need; not just a comfortable bed and a place
where you can study and relax, but also open
areas for the different parts of the day: dining
room, study rooms, gym, halls and relax
areas; place to live together with the other
people in the residence.
welcome
Attention to
details,
cutting-edge
services.
Beauty,
welcome, services:
Camplus takes care
of its students and never
leaves them alone.
Beautiful and cutting-edge residences as to
furniture and architecture, with great attention
to details; areas equipped with Internet
connection to log on at any time, comfortable
rooms to make your daily life easier, and
where you can study without being disturbed;
cleaning, laundry, reception 24h. That’s how
Camplus takes care of its students: it’s easy
when you make a new friend in a natural
way, thanks to the sharing of the same living
place as well as the studies, passions, but also
difficulties, successes and worries.
Being welcoming
and open.
It’s easy because Camplus, like a house,
welcomes your friends who came by to study
with you, or to attend cultural meetings,
sporting events, classes, parties organised by
the students themselves, where sometimes
also institutions, important people and city
people are invited. Life in Camplus is like a
never stopping flow, which starts in the rooms
and then runs through the common areas,
the study rooms, the libraries, until the heart
of the city.
Lively corners
in the districts
and the cities.
territory
Culture, beauty,
a value for the
urban context.
Our residences become lively corners in the
districts of the cities where they are placed. In
fact, they are not closed places, but starting
point to discover the world and, at the same
time, harbours where you can come back, live,
and express yourself, taking part to a reality
which opens itself to the whole city, and thus
organizes important events, characterised by
cultural richness and architectural beauty.
Eco-friendly
buldings for
everyone’s
benefit.
Our residences are surrounded by green areas,
and built following eco-friendly principles, thus
reducing the energy supply and fostering the
respect of the environment. A green economy
point of view where the eco-friendliness truly
contributes to the quality of life of the students
and the city people as well.
Mutual
exchange with
the territory.
The surrounding territory, in turn,
acknowledges the liveliness of Camplus
experience and participates in it by offering
places and events in cooperation with Camplus
team and students, to make the students
grow up, and regenerate the
social context, which gets
new life and new
well-being.

architectural impact, which will surprise you with its care in
the aesthetic of the shapes and the respect of eco-friendly
principles – the same features which characterise the cultural
environment where it lies, dominated by the Politecnico and
its first-class faculties of Engineering and Architecture. That’s
how Camplus Città Studi perfectly meets the architectural and
cultural nature of the university area in which it was built.
Independence, comfort, and will to grow up: these are three
essential and well-established aspects of life at Camplus
Rubattino. Located near the Politecnico and within a large
commercial area, this residence is meant for all the students
wishing to enjoy the independence of a real flat, to share
with friends, within a building where you can also enjoy
standard Camplus services: large areas where you can study
or relax, reception and surveillance 24h, laundry, Wi-Fi just
to list some. This residence is especially meant for older
students – those attending a master, a second level degree
– thanks to its educational path less academic and more
work-oriented: a constant exchange with professionals from
different fields and the development of useful competences
for your future job. Rubattino is the right Camplus for anyone
looking for maximum independence and a path which opens
the doors to the future.

Alma Mater
Alma Mater is the first residence of Camplus network, and
opened in 1998 in Bologna, following in the footsteps of
the oldest university in Europe: Alma Mater Studiorum.
Between history and innovation, Camplus Alma Mater
introduces – in the architecture, in the residential services,
thanks to integrative activities and an enthusiastic
community – a new concept of university residence, very
different from the usual models, and nearer to the idea of
European and American campuses. In fact, the residence
Via G.A. Sacco, 12 - ph. + 39 051 6088311
was designed like a real campus, and the building
overlooks a park. An international conception of space and
community which usefully interacts with familiar campuses
abroad, such as the Spring College in the United States
and other universities in Europe. Alma Mater is a reference
point for the reception of Italian and foreign projects
and students who want to live a true campus experience
the Italian way.
Camplus San Felice opened in 2005, following the
restoration of and historical building located within
the walls which surround the city centre of Bologna.
Independence, comfort, sharing daily life: Camplus San
Felice meets the requirements of older or foreign students
wishing to live university with diligence and autonomy,
thanks to separate flats and, at the same time, common
areas suitable for studying together, and accommodation
services which make daily life easier. Surrounded by
the most typical alleys of the city, Camplus San Felice
community, with the help of the team, organises events
and meetings focused on the need to enhance the
university experience.

Bononia
Maximum innovation, design, eco-friendliness: Bononia
opens its doors in 2012, in San Vitale, a district of Bologna
well-known for the presence of Sant’Orsola General
Hospital and the faculty of Medicine. A touch of colour for
the whole area, a highly eco-friendly building: Bononia
suggests a new idea of accommodation and a great
openness towards this “university city” full of resources.
In addition to the design spaces and an interest towards
“green” – both in the building materials and the outdoor
area, with its huge park – the students of Camplus
Bononia can enjoy top quality services and the most
advanced technological facilities. The perfect place for
a community of students, professionals and institutions
which relate together and create a new value for the
people of the city.

teachers and team, open to the cultural mixing which is at
the base of this land, Sicily, and its history. Here you will

learning
at Camplus
Life, passion,
meetings, discoveries:
learning becomes an
experience.
Living the culture.
Camplus has its origins in the same history of Italian
and European universities, and there is where it
builds solid foundations. Camplus does not want to
substitute to university, but just follow the same path
in the search of the truth for the growing up of the
person. An accommodation as well as a place for
knowledge. Camplus focuses on the reality of each
student, on its inclinations and questions, to then
move further. Camplus relates with universities and
teachers, giving them a place where they can share
ideas and organise cultural and educational events,
cooperating with the team.
Learning
in a useful way.
Thanks to the relation with well-prepared tutors and
teachers, students can analyse interesting topics to
reach a true understanding, made of connections,
research, practical experiences which transform study
in actual culture. The students, together with Camplus
team, organise activities aimed at developing a wide
range of skills, which can be used in the world of
work and are important for every kind of job: foreign
languages, Italian language for foreign students,
computer science, work groups, public speaking, and
leadership are just some of the courses activated.
Becoming fond
of the world.
Here at Camplus, knowledge permeates also the
activities in the free time, when students rest from
studying, for an active growing up. Sport, history, art,
territory, technologies, economy, acting, photography,
graphics, what is going on in the world, and much
more: Camplus students become curious and excited
by many different cultural possibilities focused on
them, which fascinate them and become important
tools of self-discovery.
Meeting
masters.
Meeting people ahead of you in the professional
career as well in life is a privileged and useful
experience: journalists, artists, writers, scientists,
businessmen become teachers and share with
the students their experiences all over their
academic career.
A constant sharing of
ideas to live together
daily life and create
valuable projects.
A team with whom
sharing everything.
The universitas was founded during the Middle
Ages in order to promote the exchange of
knowledge and to enrich the search of the truth
thanks to a constant relation between teachers and
students. Thanks to this relation, a lot of studies,
works and great value men have been created.
And that’s the same principle which lies at the basis
of Camplus project: to foster the meeting of people
meant as a way to get knowledge, and make it a
habit. Camplus team is a group of adults who work
to educate young people on a useful and constant
sharing of ideas: every student is helped in every
aspect of the university life, shares its worries and
decisions, whether they relate to his/her university
career, personal life, or the search of chances and
interesting things. The students can consider the
team as a trustworthy guide: a group of people
who can commend them and lead them towards
self-discovery.
sharing
at Camplus
A community
of passionate friends.
Here at Camplus, sharing is a lifestyle: a similar
experience combined with a shared place helps
the students to find themselves. That’s how
Camplus community was created; a community
which helps everyone not to disregard any wish,
interest or talent. Students’ passions bring to
several events, both internal (such as sports
competitions, music bands, cine club, magazine,
plays, study groups, parties) and external
(such as the food collection for homeless people):
very important moments for the personal growth
as well as chances to give a useful help to the
surrounding context, made of territory, people,
culture and work.
Relationships developed here at Camplus often
become very important friendships, which go on
even after university years, in work and in life:
Alumni Camplus association is the expression of
a lively reality which operates to keep active this
cooperation among former students.
Towards the labour market:
care and cooperation to get
high quality
professional paths.
Building skills and
relationships.
How can you build a solid future? How can you
discover the opportunities the labour market gives
you, enhance your skills, give value to talents and
intuitions? Sharing these questions with the students is
part of Camplus mission. Nowadays, the relation with
the labour market is an urgency which comes together
with the university education, which put at stake your
will to discover yourself and the reality around you, the
need to build a quality and step-by-step
career by developing solid and long run relations.
Here at Camplus you can feel a “labour culture”
which stimulates the students to trust their ambitions,
starting from committing to their studies, but then also
taking care of what is around them, in order to build
their future.
taking care at
Camplus
Make your
amibitions true.
Thanks to a great cooperation among
headmaster, educational team, Alumni Camplus
and the professionals running the Careers
Service, the students learn how to recognize
their talent and transform it into professional
goals and projects. What we called “Last Mile
Project”, for instance, represents a response to
the need for individual support, according to
the personal needs of each student, who can
rely upon a skilled professional in order to get
the best to enter the labour market, learning
a successful method to look for a job (how to
write a high-impact curriculum vitae, how to
face an interview, and so on).
Knowing the
companies.
Thanks to partnerships with companies and
institutions, Camplus leads the students from
their ambitions to concrete choices, sharing
with some businessmen and professionals
a view of the person as a primary resource
for the development of the company itself.
Brand such as Ducati, Maserati, Coop
Adriatica, Magneti Marelli, Chemtex, Crif,
Chloride Emerson, The Colomer Group,
Atran considered meeting Camplus students
an important experience. These meetings
brought to agreements, which in turn brought
to internships, research papers, and ideas to
develop within these companies in order to
create new potentialities and follow creative
impulses, able to excite the students on
the one hand, and to prove useful for the
companies and the social context on the other,
especially as to innovation.
The basis of a new phase, which fully develops
after university; a change which becomes less
scary thanks to the positive experience offered
by Camplus: an experience where change is a
great, unexpected chance.
