DARRIN SANDS
Darrin Sands was born in Nassau, but moved out of the city to Spanish Wells
in 1975. He was involved in the lobster Fishing industry for 30 years, gaining extensive knowledge of the trade and the archipelago of the Bahamas. He joined
Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty in 2006. Darrin is a private pilot, who in
his free time loves island hopping and IT consulting.
Darrin knows the real estate market in Spanish Wells, Russell Island, adjacent islands and North Eleuthera. He enjoys meeting new people and is committed to
offering professional assistance to his clients. Ready and able to meet your real

A small island (about half a mile wide by 2 miles long), located off the northern
tip of Eleuthera Island, in the Bahamas. Spanish Wells is a quaint community that is
unique in many ways. It is the Crawfishing Capital of the Bahamas and the people
are very industrious; they move forward with the times and that sense of one big
family is always prevalent. Historically, the island was used as a last stop for Spanish
ships returning to Europe, where these ships refilled their water supply from wells
created for this purpose - thus the English name of the island: Spanish Wells.

Overseas persons investing in a residence valued at $500,000 and over, may apply to the Department of
Immigration for Permanent Residency status. Holding a Permanent Residence certificate can lead to significant
tax advantages in your home country.
ANNUAL HOMEOWNERS RESIDENCE CARD
Available to any homeowner in the Bahamas. Obtained from the Director of Immigration, it allows the permit
holder, and family, to enter and remain in The Bahamas for the period of the permit.
