The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is held in Las Vegas, Nevada
The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The contestants that
have won the most money in their event compete on select animals in order to crown
that year’s “World Champions.” Barnes PRCA Rodeo has been a part of all Fifty Six
National Finals Rodeos.
(Top) At the conclusion of an eight second ride,
contestants usually dismount with the help of Pickup men. During the eighth performance of the 2014
WNFR, Cort Scheer didn’t wait for assistance. Red
Horse Crossin was chosen the best animal in the
saddle bronc riding that night, an award her mother
had won before.
(Right) 2014 World Champion Spencer Wright
prepares to compete on Red Horse Crossin of the
Barnes PRCA Rodeo herd. Red Horse Crossin’s
mother , Ponca Crossin, performed at the NFR several
times in the prime of her career. Spencer scored 84
pts with Red Horse Crossin in the third performance
to win second place. Spencer’s brothers Cody and
Jesse have won World titles as well.

The size of your bank account or amount of material things you have do not
compare to the importance of a giving heart. Our country and communities are
only as strong as the “VOLUNTEERS” that help lead and teach our young people
to become outstanding citizens.
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association relies on accomplished contestant
members to help with free rodeo day camps. They not only help with the competition
in the rodeo arena but also the arena of life.
Support our country, improve your community, give of your time and talent to help
someone today. Remember, somebody also helped you along the path of life.
