Newly designed SMATV systems should absolutely use reputable brand cables, at least with “Class A” designation. It is very
important due to the fact that the spectrum of the distributed signals is very wide (47-2400 MHz). Cheap cables are not suitable for
multiswitch systems because of high attenuation and poor shielding. The consequence would be be crosstalk between cables.

A set of channel amplifiers combined with multiswitch
system based on bus topology is the most modern and
flexible solution for distributing high-quality television
signals.
Large multiswitch systems with bus architecture can
distribute signals to over 1000 outlets, and most
importantly, at any time they may be easily upgraded,
e.g. in order to connect twin-tuner PVR receivers.
Terrestrial signals (DVB-T & analog), amplified by channel
amplifiers, are combined with satellite signals and

different number of outputs, from 4 to 32. They have active paths
(MSV series) or passive paths (MS series). The power supply is
fed through signal lines. Independent IF gain control in low and
high bands allows for signal level equalization, which minimizes
the influence of crosstalk on signal quality. The systems based on
the multiswitches can distribute signals to 1000 or so outlets. In
many cases, the systems based on bust topology can also use
radial multiswitches from MSR series that are equipped with builtin power supplies.
