Nestled in the Cotswold hills, Sudeley is a truly unique venue, rich in history, with over
1200 acres of grounds. Romantic ruins and award-winning gardens create a beautiful and
dramatic backdrop to your wedding.

Tying the knot
S
udeley is licensed for civil ceremonies which may take place in the Dent Brocklehurst
Family’s Private Library, the Baronial Hall and in Chandos Hall all year round.
The Long Room is available during our closed season from November through to mid March.

Blessing allows you to celebrate your marriage and re-affirm your vows. Blessings can take
place in St Mary’s Chapel within the heart of the grounds, or in the award- winning gardens.

A romantic setting
Y
ou may choose a blessing or even drinks reception in the romantic ruins of the Tithe Barn,
or within the centrepiece Queens Garden with its old-fashioned roses and majestic
yew hedges.
Alternatively The Secret Garden, with its intimate walls and profusion of colours and aromas from the enchanting flowers, provides a secluded location.

From intimate...
The Dent-Brocklehurst family Private Library
Situated in the family’s private quarters, this beautiful, panelled room houses fine pieces of
art and antiques, an extensive collection of leather bound books and the beautiful Sheldon
Tapestry. This room is perfect for the more intimate occasion.
The Long Room
Used for music recitals by Emma Dent, the Victorian chatelaine of Sudeley, the Long Room can
accommodate a drinks reception or a civil ceremony. Natural light streams through the leaded
windows onto the polished wooden floor creating an elegant space. Available from November
to March inclusive.

W
e can accommodate marquees in several locations within the Castle grounds,
surrounded by the beautiful backdrop of the Cotswolds and each with a different view
of the spectacular Castle and romantic ruins.
The North Lawn, the private lawn of the Dent Brocklehurst Family is situated close to the
Castle, overlooking the beautiful ruins of the 15th Century Tithe Barn and Carp Pond.
Nestled under the romantic ruins of the 15th Century Banqueting Hall on one side and
The Mulberry Trees on the other side which were originally planted in 1856, The Mulberry
Lawn is a popular location for a marquee.
The Hop Field is situated beyond the gardens with a beautiful view of the Castle and ruins
and the magnificent Queens Garden.
You may also choose from The Falcon Lawn, Home Park or Castle Field.

The Medieval Banqueting Hall
The Baronial Banqueting Hall, with its medieval style decor, creates an atmospheric location for
your drinks reception, civil ceremony or wedding breakfast. Musicians can play in the Minstrels’
Gallery for an elegant touch.

The cottages each have their own individual charm. Most have been cleverly restored
and converted from existing properties, retaining original and unique features.
The newer cottages are sympathetic in their design and architecture, seamlessly blending
into the complex.
Chandos Hall is nestled in the heart of the cottage complex and provides a flexible space
for a wedding reception, lunch with family and friends or welcome reception.
