ilco was founded in 1953 and is a family run business based in Lockerbie, Scotland, with a
further manufacturing unit in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Kilco’s investment of millions of pounds in a state of the art GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
Approved facility in Lockerbie has allowed us to produce a full range of disinfectants, which are being
supported through the European Biocidal Product Directive (BPD). Kilco’s ongoing research and
development programme means that we can offer an unrivalled range of products to our customers
and keep one step ahead of our

We manufacture all our products in a
purpose built state of the art factory
containing within it Clean Rooms to Class
L Standard necessary for the manufacture
of Pharmaceuticals. Kilco is proud to work
to the highest possible manufacturing standards and are ISO9001 registered and GMP Approved.
Kilco has developed thousands of speciality products which can be categorised into four main groups animal health and nutritional supplements, dairy hygiene, biosecurity and food & beverage factory
hygiene. Kilco is one of the market leaders in these fields in our home markets of Britain and Ireland.
Kilco’s team of chemists are currently working on future developments which will further enhance
our existing synergistic range of products. We offer an extensive range of disinfectants, teat dips,
advanced long cling foam cleaners and animal health products.
In addition to an excellent sales team Kilco offers specialist technical advice and
specific training for all our partners both in UK and overseas. Considerable
emphasis is placed on offering programmes and solutions in order to respond
to the needs of customers all over the world.
Kilco also has a regulatory affairs department, which is crucial to our
rapidly growing export business where we already have distributors
in over thirty countries and have registrations pending for a further
thirty. There are few companies who can offer such a wide product
portfolio and Kilco is actively establishing a global network of distributors
who are benefiting from our advanced technologies.

itamins and minerals play an important role in several metabolic and physiological processes in poultry.
A variety of symptoms and parameters (e.g. lowered growth and hatchability rates) have been associated
with vitamin deficiencies.
As such, vitamin and mineral supplementation is no longer considered important only for preventing deficiency
but also for optimising poultry health, productivity and quality.
Kilco (International) Ltd offer a broad range of stable, highly bioavailable liquid based combinations of vitamins,
amino acid, minerals and trace elements to suit the specific requirements of poultry at various points in their
life cycle.

Vitamin A
• Has par ticular impor tance in growth,
reproduction and immune response.
• A deficiency of Vitamin A in poultry can cause
a ruffled plumage, staggering gait, weakness and
result in reduced egg production and
hatchability.
B-complex Vitamins
• There are a number of important members of
this group, including Vitamin B1 (thiamine), B2
(riboflavin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6
(pyridoxine), and B12.
• The B-vitamins play a key role in a variety of
metabolic pathways, red blood cell production,
and proper nervous system function.
• Deficiencies in B-vitamin complexes can result
in nerve degeneration, “curled toe” paralysis,
reduced hatchability and embr yonic
abnormalities.
Vitamin E
• Is not stored in the body in large amounts, and
consequently a regular dietar y source is
important.
• Vitamin E functions as a biological antioxidant.
• It plays an important role in the development
and function of the immune system.
• A deficiency of Vitamin E in chicks may lead to
muscle degeneration and the classical “crazy
chick” disease.
Vitamin D
• The two most important forms are Vitamin D2
and Vitamin D3.
• In poultry, vitamin D2 has only about 10% of the
potency of vitamin D3.
• Is essential for the management and
maintenance of bone growth.
• A vitamin D3 deficiency in poultry will cause the
bones and beak to become soft and rubbery.
Furthermore, growth is usually retarded, egg
production is reduced and egg quality
deteriorates.
Vitamin C
• Plays an important role in various oxidation –
reduction mechanisms in living cells.
• Although poultry can synthesise this vitamin,
under conditions of stress the demand for
vitamin C becomes greater than that which can
be provided by the body.
Biotin
• Is necessar y for carbohydrate and lipid
metabolism.
• In poultry, biotin deficiency can cause retarded
growth and feathering, dermatitis and fatty liver
and kidney syndrome (FLKS).
• FLKS mainly affects 2 to 5 week old chicks, and
is characterised by a lethargic state with death
frequently occurring.

Shipping
Not all hazardous products are compatible for shipping.
As a general rule acid and alkali products must be shipped in separate consignments and some products of a highly
hazardous nature cannot be shipped with any other hazardous goods.
In order to assist when placing orders we have included the following key to show which products can be shipped together.

These can only be shipped with other Acid products and/or Non Hazardous products

Please be aware that there are maximum weight restrictions for full loads so very large orders may require
revision/reduction to fall within the weight limit.
