On December 24, 2014, there will be Morlam- and Luukthung-singer Sorn Sinchai.

At that time, it was mentioned that he will perform in a new restaurant which is supposed to
open on December 24. “Baan Isaan Champa Daeng"
It is located in a new building besides Big C #2 on Hw210.
Bangkok Insurance is in the same building.

Beginning in January, there will be a couple of Morlam-concerts - combining singing, cabaret
dancing and comedy - in the many Wats of Udon. These are the traditional venues for musical
performances for Thai people. Seldom there are chairs - or only for the sick or elderly - as one
sits on straw mats on the ground in front of huge - up to 40 meters - stages within the Wat
premises.
Morlam-Wat Saen Sawaan on December 31,2014 to January 3, 2015
On four nights there will be different concerts. On January 3, 2015 it will be with the
Luukthung-singer Mankon Gaankoon.

For now we only announce three of these Morlam-concerts organized by various Wats.
There will be much more all over Udon and´surrounding areas. The interested readers of this
Forum are kindly asked to add any more pictures of banners and information to this thread.
Morlam - Wat Wisutawas, January 2 - 6, 2015
For many Farangs the format - not the content - of these concerts might appear surprisingly
new. In fact they share quite some similarity with village life concerts in Farang-Land over 70
years or more ago. At least Your Thai relatives like it very much from time to time. And any
Farang alien should at least have been there once before he fly back to his home country to
die.
In case You want to become buried in the walls of a Wat, don't be bothered by loud music
from time to time.
