COMMITMENT TO YOUR CONTINUOUS SUCCESS Newsletter 2/2014 New Epec Customer Success Story: New ProMIL 360 treatment base with suspension Frestems, a Finnish specialist of flexible rescue systems, has launched a New ProMIL 360 treatment base with suspension. Frestems, a Finnish company manufacturing stretcher loading systems and ambulance equipment for military vehicles, has launched a new intelligent hydraulic lift treatment base ProMIL 360 which can dampen 75 % of the vehicle vibration energy which is otherwise transferred to the patient during the transportation. The product is designed to be used in rough terrain conditions in tracked and wheeled vehicles. The shock absorption significantly increases the probability of survival of a severely wounded patient. The system provides shock absorption and vertical stabilization for the stretcher patient with duplex hydro pneumatic suspension. “Duplex means that the product does not only offer suspension in up and down directions but also back and forth. Hydro pneumatic suspension offers the same level of comfortability usually found in premium cars” says Markus Hietaranta, the Head Designer. The movement between different treatment positions is controlled with a simple push button remote controller. Frestems is using Epec 3606 Control Unit to control the movement between treatment positions. By using Epec 3606, the movement path between positions can be controlled by programming, giving the flexibility to tailor the movement path in different vehicles. Epec was selected for the product because it’s proven to work in harsh conditions, it has open CODESYS 2.3 programming environment and it´s cost efficient. Frestems is a specialist manufacturer of military stretcher fastening systems and soldier evacuation equipment. Through the long history of equipping military ambulance vehicles and focus on long term product development and quality improvement, Frestems has become recognized as the leading military ambulance contractor in Europe. Frestems ProMIL products are saving lives in the toughest and the most demanding operations throughout the world. For further information about Frestems, please visit: http://www.frestems.fi.
