7. Right to participate and categories
 Presented and registered by their National Federation with settled annual fee and
other financial conditions to the JJEU (see paragraph 21);
 Brown belt minimum, valid Federal Passport and medical check-up;
 Following 2010 JJIF Technical Committee and General Assembly decision: max 2
persons or teams per category are allowed – with overall limit of 10 men and 7
women in fighting and 5 duo teams; in addition 7 men or women in ne-waza.
 All competitors must have a legal passport and sports passport of their respective
nation! Medical certificate is needed, not older than 12 months, certifying their
fitness for competition. Competitors that will reach the proper age in the present
year (from 1.1 to 31.12) have the right of participation in designate category (valid
for fighting and duo system).
PLEASE NOTE decisions and explanations from the JJIF Technical Congress in St.
Petersburg 2010, adopted by JJIF GA and JJIF Board:
 the age is considered according to the year of birth, not the actual birth date of the
competitor
 the athlete can compete in one higher age category – goes for fighting system and
duo system (Juniors can compete with Seniors). However, a team (duo) made up of
one Aspirant and one Junior can only compete in Juniors, not also in Seniors (the
Aspirant, although member of a Junior team, cannot jump over two age categories
and compete with the Seniors)!
 the entire Junior category (of proper aged-athletes) can participate in the Senior
category;
 the same athlete cannot compete in both Duo and Fighting systems, on the same
tournament. He/she must choose only one system.
 If a competitor participates in the Duo competition, he/she is allowed to be part of a
mixed couple and of a couple of his/her gender on the same tournament. The
organizer will observe that the Duo men and women are scheduled for one
competition day, while the mixed duo is scheduled for the other day.

8. Participants to the Assembly
Maximum two people per country with only one person (the National Delegate) with the
right of vote, provided that their federation is up to date with its financial obligations with
the JJIF/JJEU.

national delegate must have a signed proxy from the national federation.
9. Competition fees
Fighting system 60 €/per competitor
Duo system 60 €/per competitor
The amount must be paid to the organizing committee no later than at the registration.
There are no other fees for registration (includes obligations to JJEU and JJIF).
Registration fee to the championship is eligible to the new JJIF Financial Rules accepted
by 2010 General Assembly.
10. Ju-jitsu-gi and protectors
All competitors must have and use ju-jitsu-gi according with the JJIF/JJEU rules for official
competition. Participants have to take their ju-jitsu-gi to the weighing room!

chest protectors for female competitors are strongly recommended.
11. Advertising
Please observe the regulations of the JJEU as far as advertising on the Ju-Jitsu-Gi is
concerned. Please note that during the championship no numbers on the back of the JuJitsu-Gi are allowed unless specified by the organizer. Numbers on the back of previous
tournaments must be removed from the ju-jitsu-gi.
12. Referees
Each country should provide minimum 1 referee for up to 4 participants, 2 for up to 9
participants, and 3 for 10 participants and more. 800€ fees per referee will be requested
for not having the right number of referees and collected by the JJEU Treasurer on the
spot (conditioned for participation before the draw). This rule doesn’t apply to new
members during the first 3 years.
Referees should attend the briefing meeting on Friday afternoon.
Attention: only the referees qualified from the JJEU/JJIF Referee Committee may
participate as referees at Championship. The information about qualified referees will be
sent out by Referee Committee. For more details see http://www.jjif-referees.com.
Neither the organising committee nor the JJEU/JJIF will be responsible for not respecting
this obligation! However, if there won’t be enough referees for the competition to take
Page 6 of 10
place in good conditions, JJEU may decide to complement the pool of referees with
national referees of the organizing federation (decided by JJEU Referee Committee).
13. Rules and draw

appeal to all participants to respect fair-play and JJIF Book of Ethics! (actual

 Competition organised by table with all participants getting a second chance
 Computer program is approved by JJEU (ju-jutsu-web)
 Draw will be made by JJEU Sport Director and responsible official from the National
Federation and JJEU Technical officers
 The draw will be done for Saturday and Sunday and it is final!
 If a competitor will not have the correct weight at weighing or the birth dates are not
correct, he or she will stay in a pool or table but will automatically loose the match;
no change will be made to the draw and no refund, because of not fulfilling
conditions for participation, when already registered. There will be no second draw!

participant involved is from the same country. An appeal fee of 200 EUR must be paid to
the JJEU Treasurer before the appeal is filed (returned if appeal is successful). Appeal
must be filed immediately after the situation occurs (announce in verbal and filed on paper)
so the organizer may halt the competition to prevent appealed situation to continue. The
