Goddard House Assisted Living Presents Cookin’ Up Jazz Winter Edition Out of the Cold, Into the Jazz Brunch, Performance and Talk With Dominique Eade Acclaimed jazz vocalist and master teacher Saturday, February 13th 2016*** 10am - 12pm at 165 Chestnut Street Brookline, MA Dominique Eade moved to Boston in the late 70’s to attend New England Conservatory, where pianist Ran Blake became an important mentor. After graduation, Eade began teaching at NEC and frequently performed in Boston’s jazz scene, later moving to New York to produce her first CD, The Ruby and the Pearl, for Accurate Records. In 2011, Eade and Ran Blake’s long-awaited CD, Whirlpool, was released garnering four and a half stars from Downbeat Magazine. She has been a performer, master teacher and artist in residence at jazz fests around the world. John Wheatley joins Dominque Eade at Goddard House. Wheatley studied at Berklee College of Music where he is now an associate professor of guitar. He performs extensively in a variety of settings and is the leader of Jon Wheatley and His Famous Associates.
