A superior choice for design and performance
Domina HP is a hinge with frontal application with excellent performance
and reliability, for use with aluminium doors with door profiles.
Adjustable in three directions after
door installation, Domina HP is
the ideal hinge for installation on
high-weight doors and those used
intensively (e.g. doors in public
buildings, schools, etc.).
The hinge’s fundamental components are grouped together in
preassembly which makes it possible to install it easily, in just a few
seconds, and without the possibility of error.
The vast array of products makes it possible to accessorize the main
door profiles available on the market.
Thanks to the technical solutions and the
innovative materials used, all the
hinges in the Domina HP and Domina HP
Cover range have the CE marking in
accordance with standard EN1935.
Domina HP Cover is the hinge that allows you to
customize the casement, thanks to the cover with
its unique, inimitable design.
On the Cover version of the hinge, the traditional
aluminium screw cover plates are replaced with
zamak covers, which can be purchased separately
from the hinge.
Available with various RAL base finishes and with
the Base Primer finish ready for painting, the covers
improve the antiburglar features of the hinge.

Performance
Domina HP ensures great reliability over time, even in the most
demanding conditions. Its longevity is ensured by numerous
cycle tests carried out in accordance with standard EN1935.

Fixing systems
Domina HP offers three different mounting systems, to be chosen
from based on the needs associated with the application:

traditional counterplates
direct M12 screw for quick fitting (thermal break profiles)

expansion dowels (single-groove profiles).

Adjustments
The hinge can be adjusted in three directions, even with the door
already installed.
All adjustments are micrometric and independent from each other.

Ease of assembly
The hinge consists of two groups that are entirely
pre-assembled:

cartridge on sash side for lateral adjustment

cartridge on frame side for height and pressure adjustment.
Hinge assembly and door side inversion can be completed in just
a few seconds.

3-Wings Version
Domina HP 3-wing (Giesse patent) features removable pins. This
characteristic simplifies and speeds up removal of the sash from
the frame, particularly for sashes already installed with a pane.

EN 1935 Classification
All the hinges in the range have been tested to EN1935 standard
and have obtained grades 12, 13, or 14, depending on the hinge
C/C distance.

Performance
Domina HP is the ideal hinge for making heavy doors
designed for heavy duty use.
The high fatigue strength and wear (200,000 test
cycles - durability grade 7) makes it suitable for use on
doors subject to frequent use (heavy duty use - use
category 4) as in public buildings, schools, etc.
Domina HP achieves performance of up to 180 kg
(two hinges 2 wings) and up to 200 kg (three hinges 3
wings), depending on the hinge C/C distance, the
number of hinges fitted, the mounting system used
and the thickness of the profile.
All the hinges in the range are CE marked to EN1935.

Fixing systems
The hinge can be fixed to the profile using different fixing systems, which
can be chosen from based on the requested performance and the type
of application.
Traditional fixing with counterplates
Suitable for use on both single-groove and thermal break profiles, 15x20
mm aluminium counterplates are used for insertion inside the tubular
section. They can be used on both sides to ensure mounting on the
greatest possible number of profiles.
The counterplate kit is available for 2- and 3-wing hinges, in a version for
flush/integral hinges and for hinges with a shim.
Rapid fixing with M12 direct fixing screws
To be used for application on thermal break profiles, the M12 direct
screw is the ideal solution for outward opening casements since it
replaces the counterplates and telescopic spacers that are normally
used.
The screw is available in lengths of 55, 65, 75 and 90 mm to be chosen
according to the size of the profile. Compatible with both the
flush/integral hinges and the hinges combined with a shim.
Rapid fixing with expansion dowels
To be used for application on single-groove profiles, the expansion
dowels are available in a version for flush hinges and for hinges
combined with a shim.
Both Rapid fixing systems (M12 screws and expansion dowels) are
ideal for replacing and/or adding hinges on casements that are already
installed since they can be used on doors that are already mounted and
on closed perimeter frames. Furthermore both fixing systems need no
special machining on the profile, but standard 11 mm drilling that can
also be done with the specific templates.

Adjustments
Domina HP permits adjustment in three directions, simply and intuitively.
All adjustments are micrometric and can be performed even after door
installation, without the need to lift the door.
Lateral micrometric adjustment
(±2,5 mm) with the door installed, using the
side adjustment screw on the cartridge of the
sash hinge.
The locking grub screw on the sash hinge
locks the side adjustment cartridge in the
chosen position.
Vertical micrometric adjustment
(0/+4 mm) using the grub screw on the
bottom of the hinge. Insertion of the lower
cap guarantees that the height adjustment is
maintained.
Pressure micrometric adjustment
(±0,5) mm using the frame hinge bushing
(adjustment wrench art.05053). The locking
grub screw on the frame hinge locks the
adjustment under pressure, providing
access to the height adjustment.

3-Wings Version
Domina HP 3-wing (Giesse patent) features removable pins for straightforward and fast
removal of the sash from the frame, particularly for sashes already installed with a pane.
The 3-wing hinge has passed the 2 million cycles test with a 200 kg sash weight.
After the pins have been removed from the hinge
using the special extractor, the sash can be lifted off
the frame without removing the top hinge (as is the
case with conventional 3-wing versions), before carrying out the necessary maintenance on the door.
With just a few simple operations, the sash can then
be re-attached to the frame.
The 3-wing Domina HP is the ideal hinge for use on
doors with door closing devices.

Product range
The Cover version of Domina HP consists of the hinge
with a black anodized finish (without the standard screw
cover plates) to complement the paintable Covers.
The cover, with its modern linear design, sets Domina
HP Cover apart from the normal door hinges available
on the market.
Thanks to this characteristic, Domina HP Cover is the
ideal solution for applications in which appearance is
fundamental.

Since the cover is applied only when installation on the
profile is completed, hinge integrity is guaranteed
during casement transportation and installation.
One of the most important characteristics of Cover is
the resistance to burglars of the hinge. The high level of
strength of the cover and its installation with internal
screws makes the cover removable only with the door
open.
Additionally, in the case of damage due to blows or
scratches, it’s enough to merely replace the cover
without the need to disassemble the hinge.

Product range
The Domina HP range features hinges in 2- and 3-wing versions with different sashframe C/C distances, to be chosen according to the profile and application.
The flush version of the hinge, combined with 7, 8, 9 and 10 mm extruded aluminium
shims, allows application on the various non-flush profiles available on the market.
The possibility of combining the hinge with the shim to obtain the non-flush version
ensures greater application versatility and a reduction in the value of inventory.
The shims are available in two versions:

without centring bushings for combination with the M12 direct fixing screw

with centring bushings for combination with the mounting counterplates and the
expansion dowels for single-groove profiles.
Both versions of the shim are available in the raw, anodized/elox and base RAL
painted finishes.
The non-flush version of Domina HP Cover is achieved by combining the hinge with
the black anodized finish shims and the specific rectangular extruded aluminium
cover available in the various finishes, which together with the Cover allows you to
cover the hinge completely.

To identify the maximum effective weight (P) of the sash to be created, based on all the variables related
to the production of a door, such as the weight, hinge typology, fixing system adopted, profile
characteristics and the sash dimensions, proceed as follows:

When a door closer is present (with or without an opening brake), always use three hinges

Door hinge with frontal application, in 2- and 3-wing versions, type Domina HP, for
use on heavy aluminium doors.
Load capacities of up to 180 kg with three 2-wing hinges and up to 200kg with three
3-wing hinges.
Adjustable in 3 micrometric directions independent of each other, even with the door
installed (lateral ± 2.5 mm, pressure ± 0.5 mm, vertical 0 to 4 mm).
Can be fitted to the profile using the counterplate kit, expansion dowels for singlegroove profiles and direct fixing screw for thermal break profiles.
Classified grade 12-14 to EN1935.
