SUNREEF YACHTS BUILDS ITS FIRST ADVANCED CARBON SUNREEF 74
CHINESE WAY
Upon a special invitation of the Polish Chamber of
Marine Industry and Water Sports - POLBOAT, the Sunreef
Yachts Shipyard as the
world's leading producer of
luxury catamarans had the honour to participate in the
International Boating Industry Business Conference and
the International Boating Industry Investment and Trade
Francis Lapp - Sunreef Yachts Founder and CEO together with
the Mayor of Haikou - Sun Shi Wen
Convention in Haikou, Hainan Province in China. These prominent
events for a few days in December 2015 gathered all the important
players in the yachting industry present in China who discussed the
opportunities and specifics of the market. During these initiatives
Sunreef Yachts representatives had the opportunity to present the
company's products and vision to the audience and reveal plans for
future development.

The prototype of the carbon built Sunreef 74 is currently
taking shape in the Poland-based shipyard's production
halls. The unit being the 6th release within the Sunreef
74 line, will feature a carbon deck, flybridge, bulkheads
and superstructure, allowing an improvement of
seaworthiness and a smooth movement while passing
through waves. The rigging includes a carbon mast and
boom with an in-boom furling system.
The main navigation station will be equipped with
touchscreens enabling automatic sail adjustments coupled
with load sensors to prevent winch, hardware and rig
overload. These solutions provide a redundant, easy and
safe control of the sails and rig. The boat also features a large
overlapping genoa for upwind optimized performance, a
code 0 for reaching and a furling spinnaker for downwind
performance.

Family to celebrate the beginning of their adventure with
the sailing Sunreef catamaran. After the official part of the
ceremony, a bottle was broken over the bow and everyone
enjoyed a drink onboard.

Aeroyacht Ltd., Sunreef's prolific US dealer's iconic
2004 Porsche Carrera GT was the vehicle of choice
for the 2015 One Lap of America motorsports
endurance event.
Gregor Tarjan owner of Aeroyacht Ltd. and Mike Danner
piloted 5800 km in what many consider the world's
toughest endurance motorsports event. Nearly a
hundred thousand dollars was collected and donated
to the US Alzheimer's Association.
This rare Porsche Carrera GT is a brute of a car built
to the grueling 24hr Le Mans specifications. The V10
engine was originally developed for the Footworks
Arrows F1 team and develops 610 hp. The body and
frame are lightweight all carbon bringing the power
to weight ratio into extreme territory. At 9000 rpm the
audible storm of of the engine is one of motorsport's
best. Many say that this is the last analog supercar in
the world since it is devoid of electronic aids or auto
paddleshift gearbox. During this 7 day, 5800 km event
6 of the USA's best road tracks and several dragstrips
and ovals were raced. The drivers minds and bodies
were tested as much as the Porsche's reliability and
endurance as torrential floods in Kansas and tornados
in Oklahoma were dodged. For next year the Aeroyacht
Racing Team is planing on driving a Porsche 918 Hybrid
supercar in the 2016 One Lap of America.
Gregor Tarjan of Aeroyacht is as passionate about Sunreef Yachts
as he is about his vintage automobile racing. His collection
encompasses a 1973 Lola T440, a 1972 Porsche 914-6, a 1958
Peerless GT and a very rare 1925 Stutz Speedster. Many of Sunreef
Yacht's customers are active car racers or have automobile
collections and Gregor has succesfully acted as project manager for
several of their Sunreef Yacht catamaran builds. More information

Due to the growing interest in Sunreef catamarans, the shipyard has expanded its network of brokers and
representatives across the globe. In 2015 the company decided to sign a dealership agreement with the Yachting
Lifestyles Pte Ltd. company and its Owner – Daniel Au whose experience and passion for sailing inspired Sunreef
to set up a collaboration.
SNM:
How long have you been in the industry and what is your story with yachts? DANIEL AU:
Basically, I grew up doing everything that is connected with the Sun, Sand and Sea. I loved boats since I was a young boy,
rushing to do anything that was close to the seas. i.e Jetski, water ski, diving, etc.. Then a couple of years ago,
I thought to myself why not get involved with yachts since I love the seas so much. That is when a hobby became
a business with passion.
SNM:
Your office and a fabulous yachting bar that you are running are located in the heart of the ONE°15 Marina Club
Sentosa Cove. You spend most of your time working in this prime boating venue. Can you tell us more about the
yachting community in Singapore? DA:
Well, Singapore is very different from the rest. Though it is famous for being strong in the industry of seaport services, it
is a pity that we have very few islands to go around and no clear waters. But the good thing is that we are always in the
summer season, 365 days a year. As for the owners, they take their boats out to other regions to spend a nice holiday with
the family. Alternatively, they will just cruise out to a nearby island, drop anchor and relax with their loved ones.
Boaters love to gather in the evening to talk about yachts, meet new friends, laugh and have a chat about what is
happening around, therefore the bar comes into play. There was definitely no place for boaters to gather until our bar
came up: eM by the Marina. It is now the meeting point for everyone. SNM:
Singapore is known as one of the best places for business, but after work people here appreciate various forms
of exclusive entertainment. In your opinion, what are the most popular leisure activities?
DA:
What else could it be? Having drink and great fun at eM by the Marina, Sentosa Cove Village!

Sunreef's twin realization – Blue Deer and 19 th Hole
are two yachts the shipyard is particularly proud
of, however considering their launching took place
a good while ago (In April 2015), one may wonder
why they have been so far kept secret. Here is some
long-awaited insight into the boats' story and how
the remarkable twin catamarans finally premiered.

The boats' launching was quite an exceptional event for
Sunreef, as it has been the first time the company had set two
catamarans afloat simultaneously. The sister ships didn't stay
too long in the yard's dock as they quickly set sail to Italy to
meet their respective Owners just before the start of the Med
season. Both grey-hulled beauties are in fact owned by well-
known Italian families wishing to show yachting enthusiasts
around the world what la dolce vita is all about. In order to
do so, the Owners decided to charter both cats out in the
Mediterranean right after their delivery and have them
managed by the Sunreef Yachts Charter Team.
Both 19th Hole and Blue Deer have been shielded from public
view for quite a while mainly because their Owners put all
the focus on successfully conquering the charter market.
Their intention was to take all the time necessary to work
on a perfect set of enticing pictures only by the end of the
busy Med season to then have the yachts officially premiered.
19th Hole and Blue Deer have fully open saloons with an
impressive galley up equaling together over 30 sqm and
featuring a massive countertop placed amidships to enjoy
exquisite local food and elegant Italian wine. The yachts
can accommodate 8 adults and 2 children in four separate
spaces within the hulls. The two VIP cabins bring a maximum
of comfort and are equipped with comfortable king-size beds,
wardrobes and retractable TV's. Thanks to spacious windows,
facing the beds, guests can wake up in the morning sun. The
two guest cabins are fitted with twin beds, convertible to
doubles and an additional single bed to the wall. All of the
rooms feature private bathrooms and convenient storage.
The crew quarter is located in the portside hull and has a
separate entrance from the cockpit that allows for more
privacy when the guests rest inside the yacht. Most of the
wining, dining and lounging is obviously enjoyed outside,
on the boats' flybridge and cockpit, both of which boast
impressive space.

Giorgia and Stefano Barbini in their professional lives
have always been deeply immersed in the world of high
fashion, working for the biggest names in the industry.
The idea to build Blue Deer started when one day, the
couple decided to leave the fast-lane life for a while and
start developing their own signature holiday concept -
The San Lorenzo Lodges. The White Deer is the Barbini's
tranquil mountain lodge, situated in the spectacular
Dolomite Mountains. The Blue Deer, their stately
catamaran, sails between the Italian Mediterranean and
the Caribbean.

PURE FLAVOR OF ITALY
Built as a part of a consistent vision of the San Lorenzo Lodges, Blue Deer
has emerged from the need to find a new way to express hospitality
and take it to the blue waters. The Owners incorporated into the yacht
their impeccable taste and savviness of high end products and services
acquired through years of experience on the fashion scene. As the Owners
were actively engaged in every single stage of the creative process, Mrs.
and Mr. Barbini together with Sunreef's in-house designers selected the
finest fabrics and materials to obtain a perfection tailored to their high
expectations.
19th Hole's story dates back a few years, when the head
of the family purchased a pre-owned 70 feet sailing
Sunreef named Anini. Inspired with this experience,
the Owner eagerly upgraded to a brand new 74-footer.
Being an expert in fashion, he seized the opportunity
to design the yacht's interiors and finish them using
only the finest fabrics and materials. The boat's
impeccable interiors make 19th Hole a rare treat.

The spacious cockpit directly connects to the main deck and
its light-welcoming, soothing, fully open saloon equipped
with spread leather sofas, leather poufs, infinite storage space,
pop-up tv with a surround sound system and bookshelves
on window sills. Panoramic windows offer a dream-like view
and keep the saloon bright throughout the day. At portside,
the saloon as well features a fully equipped galley with a
pantry, modern appliances and a window sill with an indoor
gardening stand. The central countertop features a prosciutto
slicer, a wine-cooler and all the appliances one could think of
when imagining a perfect setting for a pleasant evening spent
among friends and family.

WITH THE HEART OF AN OLDIE.
Lucy Z's unique design is the fruit of a close collaboration between Sunreef's in-house design office
lead by its Director – Joanna Szulc and Dana Avriel – designer and architect appointed by the Client
for this exciting project. Knowing the Owner's passion for culture and history for having worked with
him before, Dana's role was to come up with ideas for an authentic marine aspect both to the boat's
exterior and interior. To start with the exterior, Lucy Z stands out with her dark grey hulls. As Dana
Avriel explains
“the reason for this particular color choice was to keep
the boat's exterior feel in sync with nature and give the
hulls a gentle tone somewhat reminiscent of seaweed
and the oceans' depths”.
The same principle applies to the boat's superstructure. The light grey found there is coincident with
the greys of the skies so as to keep the yacht in visual unity with the elements. Lucy Z's flybridge is fully
covered in teak and comprises a navigation station with a neatly finished classic wooden dashboard
and steering wheel. The spacious sundeck overlooks a vast deck and cockpit, again, fully teak-finished
for a timeless and authentic look.

2015, she is the hull number 4 of the
sleek Sunreef 74 line. Lucy Z combines
all the advantages one can draw from
owning a large, freshly-built catamaran
with the spirit of a classy traditional
yacht. Lucy Z lets you enjoy massive
living space, stability, shallow draft
and is rigged with cutting edge gear,
yet once you step aboard you may feel
as if you have embarked on a cruise
back in time. The reason for this is the
tremendous amount of effort put into
the boat's aesthetics.

Lucy Z's interiors - entirely clad in elegant dark wood, will
usher you into a majestic back-in-time travel. The cabins and
saloon feature a finishing inspired from classic yacht designs
with navy-marine upholstery and bed linens combined with
brass décor elements. The mahogany grids fixed on the
wooden white ceilings are there to emulate battens used in
older times.
Joanna Szulc – at the helm of Sunreef's in-house design office
explains that the creative process behind Lucy Z involved
quite a lot of focus on the materials used “The idea was to
implement a soothing interior design bringing to mind the
all-time yacht classics on a modern boat. To do so, we put
extra focus on the materials, selecting the finest wood for
the floors and premium upholstery. We also worked with
authentic XIX century lamps, provided by the Owner and
adapted them to the electrical system ”.

Entered from Lucy Z's vast cockpit, the light and airy saloon
with its panoramic windows is a true gem with an upright
acoustic Yamaha piano installed in the front part of the room.
This exceptional feature will add up to the atmosphere of
Lucy Z's future cruises and with the piano placed facing the
front window, it is also bound to provide the best musical

Sunreef cats can be entirely customized when it comes to layout.
In Lucy Z's case the main idea was to come up with a comfortable
cabin distribution for lengthy cruises among friends and family.
The Owner's cabin at starboard occupies a vast part of the hull.
It features a 200x200 elevated bed, with a mahogany finished
platform that can be used as storage. Next to the bed, you will find
the most relaxing reading spot including a sofa and bookshelves.

on two single beds and an additional Pullman. The cabin's
ensuite bathroom is accessed through a sliding door. Additional

of the 46 m motor unit – 150 Sunreef Power.

terrace, a 95 m² flybridge with a Jacuzzi and mattresses

EVENTS
At the venue, the Sunreef stand was visited by distinguished
guests and attracted media attention. In its few days the
company had organized more than 20 sea trials, including a
press breakfast aboard the newly launched yacht Blue Belly
and the Annual Friday Cocktail Reception with live music,
delicious refreshments and sophisticated drinks, which
was visited by over 300 guests. In addition, the shipyard
completed numerous photo shoots and interviews aboard
the yachts, as well as helicopter video footage, which will
soon see the light of day.

2015 REVIEW
Last year's Autumn boat show season has
finished for Sunreef with its participation in
the 3rd edition of the Qatar International Boat
Show in Marina Lusail - Doha. It was the first
time the shipyard marked its presence in Qatar
with the valuable support and sharing of its
stand with the Qatar Chamber Of Commerce
– an official institution involved in promoting
luxury Sunreef catamarans in the MiddleEast after signing the conclusion of a mutual
collaboration agreement by the end of October
2015.
As part of a consistent vison of international
expansion, only a few days before the QIBS in
Doha Sunreef displayed its charter catamaran
70 Sunreef Power Damrak II with new Mocha
colored hulls and sailing beauty Grace from the
Sunreef 60 LOFT line at America's number one
yacht event – the Fort Lauderdale International
Boat Show in Florida. Sunreef as the leading
designer and builder of luxury catamaransuperyachts could not be missed also in Port
Hercules at the Monaco Yacht Show (Sept.
2015). At the venue, the company was focused
on promoting its latest concepts including the
150 Sunreef Power megacatamaran and sailing
innovation – the Sunreef 165 ULTIMATE.

With three catamarans on display (Sunreef 60

Much attention was drawn by the sailing
catamaran – Sunreef 60 LOFT Fineline, which
during the fair was officially handed over to the
Owners. No less popular was the 60 Sunreef Power
Ocean's 11 – catamaran with a distinctive blue hull.
The undisputed star of the festival was Blue Belly,
launched in 2015 – the first unit of the series 70
Sunreef Power with a fully open saloon.
The Cannes Yachting Festival is one of the
most important events in the nautical industry
including multihull's manufacturers. With every
year, organizers raise the bar of professionalism,
excellent preparation and attention to every
detail. This time almost 500 exhibitors decided to
participate and display their top products. We are
completely aware that it is one of the best places

Returning to the Caribbean in December for the
Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Sunreef Yachts made
waves with its impressive lineup of four luxury
catamarans. On showcase were the recently launched
DAMRAK II docked in Falmouth Harbour Marina
twin Sunreef 74 sailing catamarans 19th Hole and Blue
Deer, which were premiering for the first time together
in the Caribbean, the widely popular 70 Sunreef Power
DAMRAK II, and the elegant Sunreef 58 All View.

The premiere industry event always draws the best
of the best and it was a true testament to Sunreef's
commitment to excellence that each yacht on display
received outstanding reviews from brokers and media
in attendance, a select few of which were invited to
sample the service and cuisine onboard the Sunreef
Sister ships 19TH HOLE and BLUE DEER at anchor
catamarans during specially hosted luncheons.

Following the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, a select
group of industry professionals were invited by Sunreef
Yachts Charter to explore the beauty of Antigua and
its sister island Barbuda aboard twin Sunreef 74
catamarans 19th Hole and Blue Deer. The familiarization
trip, more commonly known in the industry as a FAM
Trip, provided the exclusive opportunity for charter
brokers and journalists to experience each yacht’s
luxurious surroundings, amenities, service, and
cuisine while visiting a choice selection of picturesque
Caribbean ports of call.

During the three-day sailing holiday FAM Trip guests
were joined by Director of Sunreef Yachts Charter,
Joanna Kozak. The trip whisked guests away on a
whirlwind vacation where there was no shortage of lovely
anchorages. The itinerary started in English Harbour in
Antigua, followed by a stop to the snorkeler's paradise
of Nonsuch Bay in Green Island, then to a few remote
tropical locales along the unspoiled coastline of Barbuda,
with the final day being spent at heavenly Pigeon Beach
at Falmouth Harbour.

The duration of their stay on board guests were
treated to the full first-class charter experience
with respective crews carefully attending to their
needs. There were also plenty of opportunities
for thrilling times at sea with a wide assortment
of water toys at guests' disposals. Each day was
met with unforgettable moments as guests took
in the unique philosophies of each yacht, 19th
Hole defined by its passion for fine Italian living
and Blue Deer with its perspective that looks
towards the sea as a home.
