WELCOME TO THE 2014 ARCADIA CATALOGUE
Aquatic
Since our last catalogue we have a number of new product ranges, which we hope will
appeal to consumers. In aquatic lighting, there is a definite shift to T5 fluorescent and LED,
and our new product ranges meet these changes. Even in reptile lighting, the shift to T5 is
noticeable, which demonstrates that hobbyists are really understanding the correct levels of
UVA and UVB that are really needed.

We have even started producing specialist lighting for zoos. The T5 Superzoo luminaire,
incorporating Arcadia lamps, is now being used in European zoos for Crocodiles, Primates,

A further change this year is the reintroduction of manufacturing in the UK. Rather than
shipping components to China for assembly, and then shipping product back to the UK,
some higher value products, such as the LED Strip, will now be made in our factory in the
UK. It’s a real pleasure to be making product again in the UK, and as China costs increase,
we will be gradually shifting more and more products back.

The Arcadia chiller range consists of two high performance marine

OT5/8 OVER TANK LUMINAIRE
Featuring a unique pivot mechanism, which allows the luminaire to
rotate backwards for easy access to the aquarium.
This mechanism is far sturdier than traditional hinged arrangements, and
combined with the waterproof (IP67) underside and splash-proof top, this

The OT2 LED combines the high light output and uniformity of T5
lighting with high performance LED panels which create light and
shadow in the aquarium and produce a naturalistic ripple effect,
normally associated with HQI lighting.
• Adjust overall colour temperature through seperate dimming
of deep blue LEDs with a spectral peak of 450nm, and cool
white LEDs selected for a colour temperature in excess of
8000K
• Multiple high output LED panels which should last in excess
of 5 years
• Independently dimmable high output White and Blue LED’s
• Independently dimmable Marine White and Marine Blue T5’s*
• Separate dimming control of T5 and LED sources
• Radiates very little heat into the aquarium

OTL LED LUMINAIRE NEW
SLIMLINE LED FOR FRESHWATER AND MARINE AQUARIUMS
Four channel timer to control the time period of lighting for Freshwater and Marine aquariums, each
channel also automatically ramps up over the first 30 minutes to full power to avoid the instant full
power shock that can occur, each channel then at the end of each timed period dims over a 30 minute
period to give an automatic sunrise and sunset effect.
Each unit also comes with both aluminium legs and suspension cables, the 4 channel timer, in tank
temperature probe, the controller also gives readings of ambient and aquarium temperature.
With its profile of 25mm high it is as close to an invisible light source as we have launched to date.
