HILLS OF COVE GOLF COURSE
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to offer the highest level of service to the
citizens, members, and golfing public to ensure the most
enjoyable golf experience possible, while operating
within the guidelines set forth by the City Manager and
City Council
GOLF COURSE OPERATIONS
Hours of Operation:
• Monday through Sunday
Dawn till Dusk (Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day)
•
Full Service Pro shop and lighted driving range
• 18 Hole Course, Par 71
GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE
• 2013: Greens Renovation Holes 2, 3, 6, 7, 14, 15 and practice green
• 2014: Reworked Drainage and Renovation Hole 18
• 2014 Request for Proposal Completed and Reviewed by City Council
• 2015 cart path repairs Holes 2,9, and 18 added limestone rocks
• 2015 renovation to #2 Tee box and 16 tee area added limestone rock
• 2015 hosted the sixth Annual TAMUCT Scholarship Tournament
GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE
FY15-16
• Replace Bridge for hole #6
• Continue with limestone rock landscaping on holes 5, 8, 10 and 12
• Repair and renovate course restrooms on hole 5 and 10
• Root prune all tree roots around greens with trees
• Have Air2G2 perform our first aerification on our greens again this year
• Continue with irrigation upgrades to front 9 greens ( individual control)
• Continue with cart path repair (Areas not yet designated)
• Dig/Clean out retention ponds (July/August)
• Advertise Golf Course in new ways
• Create/Develop Youth Golf Program that offers youth golf each quarter
