Mother’s Day Necklace
STEP 1:
Print out the pattern onto a sheet of paper and cut it out along red marked outline.
STEP 2:
Use double sided sticky tape to adhere the paper pattern onto the leather and cut out leather out along the
outline. Cut the vertical lines that are marked red in illustration.
STEP 3:
Remove paper pattern and roll the leather piece to a tassel as shown in illustration.
STEP 4:
Fix the tassel with a small piece of double sided sticky tape.
STEP 5:
Cut 1 m of 0.15 mm nylon thread and attach thread with 4 back stitches on top of tassel. Cut 27 cm of 4 mm
satin ribbon and attach it with 4 back stitches in the middle of length on top of tassel. Slide the Crystal Pearl
art. 5811, 14 mm Crystal Black Pearl onto thread and attach it 3x on tassel then bow up the satin ribbon ends
and go 4 times through satin ribbon ends and pearl. Make 4 back stitches on the tassel and cut off nylon
thread with scissors.
STEP 6:
Cut nine 35 cm pieces of the 0.25 mm nylon thread. Slide onto one thread 11 Swarovski Beads 5000,
4 mm in Jet Hematite.
STEP 7:
Knot the nylon thread with Beads around top of tassel as you see in illustration. After double knot slide ends
back through a bead and cut the excess off.
STEP 8:
Slide onto the 8 remaining nylon thread pieces the Crystal Pearls and Beads as shown in the illustration and
repeat step 7 to attach all onto tassel.
STEP 9:
Cut 75 cm of silver tiger tail, slide on a crimping tube and go with small end through crimping tube so that a
4 mm long loop occurs. Crimp the crimping tube correctly as you see in magnifiers 1 and 2 in illustration. Slide
onto tiger tail 74 Crystal Pearls art. 5840 and a crimping tube. Go back with tiger tail end through crimping
tube and last Crystal Pearl so a loop forms on the other side as well and crimp 2nd crimping tube as the first
one. Cut off tiger tail ends after pearl with side cutter.
STEP 10:
Cut two 27 cm pieces of the 4 mm satin ribbon and slide first one through the loop of tiger tail as you see in
illustration. Repeat with second 27 mm satin ribbon piece and second Crystal Pearl string end.
STEP 11:
Tie a knot as shown and cut off short end leaving about 4 mm of ribbon.
STEP 12:
Cut 28 cm of 4 mm satin ribbon and slide on the Swarovski Pendant art. 6901. Put Pendant and tassel around
Crystal Pearl necklace as you see in illustration (position it in middle of pearl necklace) and attach it by knotting the satin ribbons as shown. You can shorten the ends if desired.
