STEP 1:
Cut a 5 x 20 cm fabric piece and iron the lining onto it as shown in the illustrations. Draw a square pattern
of 3.2 x 3.2 cm or use the pattern in the illustrations and stick double sided tape to the back side. Using the
pattern cut out 4 green, 3 petrol blue, 3 night blue, 1 fuchsia, 2 rose, 2 patterned blue, 2 capri blue and 2
organza fabric pieces.
STEP 2:
Take two fabric pieces, place one on top of the other and sew them together from the reverse side of each
fabric. Make sure that there is a gap of 5 mm from the edge and then flip them open towards the correct side
of the fabric. Repeat this step to get a pattern similar to the illustrations.
STEP 3:
Place a Dacron piece 1 mm larger than the fabric stitched together into rows. Stitch them together and cut off
the extra Dacron.
STEP 4:
Place the quilted piece from the previous step upside down onto the night blue fabric and cut it out 1 mm
larger than the quilted piece. Sew them together on the same stitched lines that the quilted fabric was sewn on
as shown in the illustrations in order to understand where to start and end. Trim the Dacron from the corners
as illustrated in this step. Cut 3 mm off from the seams on three sides of the square. Turn the piece right side
out as shown in the illustrations.
STEP 5:
Stitch the open portion of the fabric piece with a sewing silk.
STEP 6:
For pattern B: In Pattern B use organza blue in double layers. Repeat step 2 - 3. Insert Swarovski Fancy Stone
art. 4447 12 mm Light Sapphire between the layers of organza. Repeat step 4 – 5.
For pattern C: Repeat steps 2 - 5 for pattern C.
For all three patterns: Cut 0.15 mm nylon thread and stitch other SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS onto the quilted
pieces as shown in the illustrations with this step.
STEP 7:
Cut 1 m of tiger tail and string the SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS in the order shown in the illustrations.
STEP 8:
Insert the quilting parts and other SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS in the same order as shown in the illustrations.
STEP 9:
Cut a 60 cm long ribbon piece. Fold it in a way so that one of its ends is 10 cm long. Insert a crimping tube
onto the tiger tail and then slide the tiger tail over the ribbon and back through the crimping tube. Crimp and
cut off the extra tiger tail as shown in the illustrations.
STEP 10:
Knot the ribbon as depicted in the illustrations and cut off the extra ribbon.
STEP 11:
Cut 60 cm sewing silk, and sew the knot with 4 invisible back stitches to secure it.
STEP 12:
Repeat steps 9 to 11 for the other side of the necklace.
