FEATURES
Instructors:
The camps will be led by UFV Cascades head coaches,
along with community coaches and current/former
university players.
Bonus:
All campers will receive a UFV Athletics T-shirt and one
Cascades season pass.
REGISTRATION
Refund Policy:
Boys Basketball:
Basketball camps are open to all abilities, with a focus on
skill development. This camp will include skill-building drills
and five-on-five scrimmages. UFV men’s basketball head
coach Adam Friesen, who has led the Cascades to three
straight Canada West Final Four berths and the 2015 conference bronze medal, will instruct this camp along with
assistant-coaching staff and varsity student athletes.
If in the event that you cancel your child’s camp session,
a minimum of 7 days notice prior to the start date of the
camp is required for a refund, less a $25 administrative
fee. Should you fail to give 7 days notice, you will be
required to pay the full camp fee.
In the event of an illness, a refund will still be granted
minus the $25 administrative fee. In the case of injury, a
refund will also be granted minus the $25 administrative
fee and minus any camp days attended. In all cases documentation must be provided.
How To Register:
In Person:
Visit the Athletics office in the Student Activity Centre
(Building E) between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to
Friday.
We will be taking credit cards in person at the Envision
Athletic Centre.

Description of Risks:
I, the undersigned, hereby acknowledge that certain risks of injury are
inherent to participation in recreational and sporting activities. These
types of injuries may be minor or serious and may result from my child’s
actions, or the actions or inactions of others, or a combination of both. I
hereby understand that certain activities require a minimum level of fitness and health (physical, mental, and emotional) and that each person
has a different capacity for participating in these activities. Some activities
involve an intense level of activity. I hereby agree that the University of
the Fraser Valley (UFV), its faculty, staff and agents shall not be liable for
any injury, loss or damage to my person or property during the Cascades
Summer Camp program—including deterioration of health or illness or
aggravation of condition resulting from participation in the camp activities.
I have read the information on the website or in the brochure and understand the intensity of activity is high. All campers must participate in all
activities listed in the daily description, which may include field/ gym
activities and/or aquatic activities. If my child has temporary restriction
(i.e. flu, sprained ankle, etc.), it is your responsibility to make sure we are
informed, on a daily basis, in writing.
Emergency Treatment:
If at any time emergency medical treatment is necessary for my child, I
hereby give my consent for treatment to be given. Every effort will be
made to contact parent/guardian(s) and or emergency contacts in advance.
Photo/Video Consent:
I hereby authorize UFV to take photographs and/or videos of my child
during camp activities, and to display and otherwise use these photographs and/or videos without charge solely for the purpose or promotional material in connection with Cascades Summer Camp program and/or
Cascade Athletics.
Behavior:
I acknowledge that UFV may decline a camper due to physical and/or
verbal abuse towards staff and/or other campers. UFV may decline a
camper if the above agreement cannot be agreed upon in whole.
Acknowledgement:
I am the parent and/or legal guardian of the child named on this form. I
understand the nature of the activities, my child’s experience and capabilities, and believe my child to be in good health and in proper physical
condition to participate fully in the activities described above.

Girls Soccer:
Summer Sport Camps
UFV soccer camps are your ultimate soccer learning experience this summer, offering training for all levels of ability.
Emphasis will be placed on refining technique, teaching
tactics, and speed, agility and quickness. UFV women's
soccer head coach Rob Giesbrecht will lead the camp.
Giesbrecht guided the Cascades to the Canada West title
and a bronze medal at the CIS national championships in
2010, and to a Canada West silver medal and a fourthplace finish at CIS nationals in 2014.
