TRY OUT DETAILS
LEVELS
TRY OUT CHECKLIST
There are 5 levels (for regular teams) this season.
The “level” refers to the type of stunts, pyramids, and
tumbling that a team can safely perform. They are
numbered from 1 to 5, in increasing difficulty. The level is
determined solely by the coaching staff.
We look forward to working with you at an upcoming
try-out. Be sure to arrive with these items already
completed:
PLACEMENT
There may be athletes on any given team that tumble
at a different level than the rest of their teammates. We
try to match up the athletes by level as best we can, but
please remember that stunting, pyramids, jumps, dance,
motions, and age are huge factors as well. Some will
be stronger tumblers than others. Some will contribute
more with stunts than others. We choose our team
based on the positions that we need to fill for each team
(Bases, flyers, tumblers, etc.) Every athlete is on the team
for a reason — please trust the staff. Our teams have
always done very well.
PROCESS
The try out process is very casual and fun! The athletes
demonstrate Jumps, Tumbling Skills, and possible
Stunting. They also meet the staff and new friendships
are formed. We evaluate the athletes in groups and
encourage each person to do their best!! Everyone is
placed on a team no matter what! After tryouts, the staff
will pick teams based on their discretion. Many key
elements factor into the decision. Keep in mind ALL ICE®
Teams are built to compete at a high level.

“I would not be living my dream of cheering on the
best college squad in the nation, if it was not for my
All Star coach, Darlene Fanning. She not only taught
cheerleading skills, but also important life lessons. At
ICE®, I learned about hard work and dedication, made
lifelong friendships, and learned to never, ever give
up. Follow your dreams, ICE® is an amazing program

If you purchased a uniform last season, we will be using
the same uniform. There is no need to order a new
uniform, if you have one that fits your athlete properly.
The earlier in the summer you order, the earlier in the
season you will get your child’s uniform. Example:
Uniforms ordered the end of June typically are handed
out by early September. Make sure if your child is
joining late, you get a uniform ordered immediately!
SCHEDULE AND WHAT TEAM WE MADE?
Teams will be decided after the final try out date. Emails
will be sent to all athletes with practice days/times as
well as the team the athlete has made. You must create
an account online prior to try outs. If you have not
received an email within 24 hours of the announcement
of teams, please call the front desk for assistance or
email your location immediately.
WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE TRY-OUTS ?
A private tryout can be held. Email the address listed
under your particular location to set up a day and time
for a private try out.
WHAT IF I CAN’T TUMBLE OR HAVE NEVER
CHEERED BEFORE? DOES THIS MEAN I AM
NOT GOING TO MAKE A “GOOD ” TEAM?
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:
No. All of the teams at ICE® All Stars are “good” teams!
Everyone has a place here. Tumbling and previous cheer
experience are not requirements needed in order to try
out. It is something you will learn with your staff.

PARENT/ATHLETE PROGRAM POLICIES
Do not make assumptions about
anything. Always ask.
Attitude is everything. If an athlete has
a foul attitude, we will place him / her
to a non-competitive program, such as
a class, until improvements are made.
Until then, a replacement will be put
in position.
Do not call or text the staff unless it is
an emergency. The staff needs to have
their personal time away from work.
Thank you in advance for respecting
this rule.
All cell phones and pagers must be
turned off once practice starts.
All clothing and belongings must be
stored in the cubbies, not thrown on
the floor.
Do not bring items of value to the gym.
(IPOD, Jewelry, IPHONES etc..) ICE® is
not responsible for lost or stolen items.
The only people allowed in the gym
are staff members and athletes that are
on the Team Rosters. Parents, friends,
relatives and siblings must remain in
the viewing room. Siblings of athletes
cannot come inside the gym and watch
practice unattended. An adult in the
viewing room must supervise them.
We cannot baby-sit.
After your child is released from
practice, they are no longer under
the supervision of ICE®. Please be
prompt when picking your children
up from practice as we cannot have
other practices being distracted by
unattended children.
No one is allowed to yell onto the floor
or make contact through the viewing
room window.
8
You cannot create or sell your own
ICE® clothing. Our name and LOGO
are copyrighted. All ideas for apparel
must be emailed and approved by
Management.
Anyone threatening to quit will be
asked to leave immediately. No refunds
will be given.
Your opinion regarding practice and
routine construction does not count.
The staff makes all of the decisions.
Do not gossip about other teams,
parents, other gyms or kids. Again, if
you have any questions, ASK, rather
than listen to non-sense or engage in
irresponsible conduct.
It is the parent’s responsibility to
stay informed. Check your email and
website regularly. If you aren’t receiving
emails, contact the Gym Director ASAP.
Absences must be cleared and
approved by the Head Coach.
Coaches/Directors reserve the right to
close practices at any time.
Withholding your child from practice
cannot be used as a form of discipline.
This is unfair to the rest of the team.
Practice schedules can change and
any changes will be communicated to
parents. We will add practices before a
competition when needed.
No food or drinks other than bottled
drinks are allowed in the gym.
Remove all piercings before practice.
This is nonnegotiable as it is a safety
issue!
Feel free to talk to your coach about
anything. We want to make sure
the line of communication is open.
However, there is an appropriate time.
Please contact the coach to make an
appointment.
If you have questions, please use the
following chain of command: Team
Rep > Gym Director/Front Desk >Head
Coach > Owner
Copyright Notice: You cannot sell
or create your own ICE clothing.
This includes team names and any
other likeness to logo, affiliation
and/or program. Parents/Athletes/
Staff wishing to enter a contest,
while wearing the ICE Uniform, or
representing ICE in any media,
must first receive permission from
the owner.
Do not post negative comments,
routines or music on message boards,
You Tube or any website.
Always be an example of good
sportsmanship, positive conduct and
professionalism at all competitions
and practices. No profanity or rude
language.
Punctuality is a MUST. Arrive 10
minutes early to all practices,
competitions and functions. If you are
late or dressed incorrectly, you will
condition/jump after practice.

such as, emails from your coach or Team Rep. You can

PRACTICES
There is a viewing area designated for all parents/friends.
Parents/friends are asked to stay in that designated

area and not come into training area. We want your
child to get the most out of every practice. In order for
this to happen, we need their full attention. If there are
distractions, the whole team is affected and may also
become a safety issue. Coaches may close practices at
any time for any reason.
If a parent or anyone is observed speaking negatively
about a team, coach, parent, or cheerleader, he/she
will be talked to and/or asked to leave. If this kind of
behavior continues to be an issue, the child will have to
be removed from the team. We will not tolerate this type
of conduct. If a parent verbally assaults or threatens a
student, coach or parent, the family will be dismissed
from the program.
TRANSPORTATION
All transportation/accommodations to local
competitions are the solely the responsibility of

MEMBER FORM AND WAIVER
ICE® ALL-STARS 2016- 2017
PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT, RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
In consideration of the services of ICE®., its owners, agents, officers, employees, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf
(hereinafter collectively referred to as “ICE®”), I hereby agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless, on behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my
heirs, assigns, personal representative and estate as follows:
1. I understand and acknowledge that the activities that I or my child engage in while on the premises or under the auspices of ICE® pose known and
unknown risks which could result in injury, paralysis, death, emotional distress, or damage to me, my child, to property, or to third parties. The following
describes some, but not all, of those risks: Cheerleading and gymnastics, including performances of stunts and use of trampolines, entail certain risks
that simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. Without a certain degree of risk, cheerleading students would
not improve their skills and the enjoyment of the sport would be diminished. Cheerleading and gymnastics expose participants to the usual risk of cuts
and bruises, and other more serious risks as well. Participants often fall, sprain or break wrists and ankles, and can suffer more serious injuries. Traveling
to and from shows, meets and exhibitions, raises the possibilities of any manner of transportation accidents. In any event, if you or your child is injured,
medical assistance may be required which you must pay for yourself.
2. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks, known and unknown, connected with ICE®-related activities, including but not
