What does it take to create a brand that resonates with beauty and sensuality in the hearts and minds of women all around the world?
It usually takes someone with exceptional talent, vision, passion and perseverance.
In the case of DYRBERG/KERN, it took two such individuals from two extremely different backgrounds; each with a distinctive angle on
design who were drawn to each other as if by destiny.
The moment Gitte Dyrberg and Henning Kern met, their unique chemistry and creative energy was instantly apparent. As the Creative
Directors, design masterminds and driving forces behind, DYRBERG/KERN A/S is today – 27 years later - a brilliant contemporary
designer jewellery and watch brand, which never ceases to intrigue and entice consumers. Their mission is clear: To be a preferred
choice for modern and confident women to express their style and beauty.
How? By offering an extensive and inventive range of iconic classics and a sultry approach to style and sophistication. A fascination with
art, architecture, interior, design, graphics, nature, film and music has influenced Dyrberg and Kern’s ability to continuously surprise and
seduce consumers infatuated with their brand.

handmade jewellery
All DYRBERG/KERN design is managed from our design studio at our headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, where a skilled team of
designers sketch the collections. After the seasonal fashion themes, trends and seasonal materials and colours are decided and each
jewellery style is determined, the production takes place in various work-shops in Asia, where manufacturers produce the collection
according to our design and quality standards.
Our materials, such as pearls, stones, crystals and leather are sourced all over the world, from Italy, China or Africa, depending on the season.
DYRBERG/KERN products are created by hand and undergo many different processes: from casting, polishing and plating of the metal
base, to hand braiding of leather, to cutting, polishing, and insertion of precious stones and brilliant crystals. Finally the many different
elements of one single jewellery piece are assembled. After each process, a specific quality control is performed.
Each jewellery piece goes through about 40 different processes and as many hands before the magical moment finally happens
– it meets your eye and love hopefully takes over...
We consider the environment
All DYRBERG/KERN’s products are strictly following both Danish and international laws concerning heavy metals, such as Nickel, Lead,
Mercury and Cadmium. Further to that all DYRBERG/KERN’s suppliers are signing a Code of Conduct, and they are randomly being inspected by our local staff during production. This for making sure that we only deal with suppliers whom have focus on CSR (Corporate
Social Responsibility). Why? Because we set pride in being responsible, caring and non-selfish about the way we do business.

THE style guide for jewelry:
• Each satellite can be styled in both silver and gold on the same birch veneer sheet.

DYRBERG/KERN products are created by hand and undergo many different processes: from casting, polishing and plating of the metal
base, to hand braiding of leather, to cutting, polishing, and insertion of precious stones and brilliant crystals. Finally the many different
elements of one single jewellery piece are assembled. After each process, a specific quality control is performed.
Our materials, such as pearls, stones, crystals and leather are sourced all over the world, from Italy, China or Africa, depending on the season.

BASE METAL AND PLATINGS
The Stainless Steel Line
Stainless steel does not corrode or tarnish and is extremely durable. Stainless steel is also extremely strong, meaning it will not bend or
weaken. Jewellery and watches produced in stainless steel stay nice and shiny for a long time and are practically resistant to wear and tear.
The Brass Line
The base metal of most of our jewellery is brass, which is an alloy of copper and zinc. Adding aluminum makes brass stronger and more
corrosion resistant. Brass receives the top plating in stainless steel. Brass is nickel, lead free and anti-allergenic.
SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS
Made with Swarovski Elements from the Austrian manufacturer Swarovski are used in our jewellery.
“Made with Swarovski Elements” is the luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut crystal chatons
we use in much of our jewellery.
Round stones, Chatons
The crystals are either crystal clear, solid coloured, or effect coated to imitate stones.
The round shaped Xilion Chatons have 14 unique facets, makes it the most brilliant cut on the marked.

The Multilayered Oval Fancy Stone offer a stunning, multidimensional effect.
This stone has a regal intensity and high brilliance.
PLATINGS
The IP Plating
Most of our plating is the highly technical IP plating technique which is normally used in the watch industry.
By using IP instead of traditional wet-plating, it takes much longer before the colored plating wears off and the base metal is visible.
It is hard to give an estimate about the durability – it depends on how and where the jewellery piece is being worn.
One of the numerous advantages IP plating has over wet-plating is its environmental friendliness. IP does not rely on water, and
contamination through waste water for production process is avoided, or kept at an absolute minimum.

Synthetic resins are materials with properties similar to natural resins: a lightweight,
flexible substance, extremely strong and durable.
We cut and stitch calf leather into innovative and interesting jewelry pieces such as bracelets, and neck pieces.
Our leather qualities live up to the latest EU standards as for the contents of cadmium, mercury, lead and nickel.
FRESH WATER PEARLS

Due to this the fresh water pearls obtain irregular shapes.

A group of necklaces and bracelets are created in crystal beads, cut in a rondelle, for a more voluptuous look.
They are lead and nickel free.

After having dazzled the world with numerous collections of contemporary designer jewellery throughout the years, most often
produced in stainless steel or plated metal adorned with crystal, leather and semi precious stones, DYRBERG/KERN has
launched a Sterling Silver collection.
The Sterling Silver collection is built up by six jewel “sattelites” each containing styles of a unique design language.
All jewel styles, however, match to perfection and can definitely be worn together. This season, DYRBERG/KERN has decided

THE FINISHES
Sterling Silver as such needs no introduction, has a beautiful pure white light colour, which is different from the slightly darker stainless
steel and unique only to sterling silver. The soft surface of sterling silver asks for different finishes: Some jewel pieces are polished to a
high shine; others have been oxidized to get that darkened, more dramatic, edgy finish, which is in vogue right now.
Furthermore we added numerous smaller and larger White Cubic Zirconias which were all set by hand one by one – often in intricate,
geometric patterns.

In ancient China, jade was considered
the “imperial gem” due to its unique

When worn for a longer period of time,
the black finish may wear off, but can
be re-oxidized by goldsmiths.
Oxidizing can easily be removed by
using silver polishing cloth.
THE CUBIC ZIRCONIA
The DYRBERG/KERN sterling silver line features plenty of shine.
As focal point in most styles we have added plenty of tiny White Cubic Zirconia, often referred to as the synthetic diamond.
Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is the lab created crystalline form of zirconium dioxide and looks amazing contrasting the chiseled silver
surfaces in this collection. The synthesized material of the CZ is hard, optically flawless and colourless.
Cubic Zirconia and other lab created gemstones are increasing in popularity and many people now consider them to be just
as beautiful as their natural counterparts.
THE MARCASITE
The Sterling Silver line features the Pillow satellite, which features the use of the gemstone Marcasite. Marcasite is actually
tiny pave set iron pyrite stones, facet cut and handset. Marcasite stones have a brilliant silver colour or a bright metallic
luster; when cut with many small facets at the top, it will catch the light and glow like small diamonds.
Iron Pyrite is mined in North America, Mexico, France, Peru, China and Russia and now available in the first sterling silver
line from DYRBERG/KERN.

Step 1
Clean the glass surface properly before placing a streamer.
Place the streamer with the glue side on the window.
Spray some liquid soap on the window.
The liquid soap reduces appearance of air bobbles.

Use a scraper to place the sticker by pressing the scraper
on it while removing the back side paper.
Step 3
Finally remove the glue paper.
Now clean the streamer with a clean cloth.
