Added value on this ever popular tour:
Our most popular tour has just become better! We take you to three of Iceland’s
bestloved sites: the Geysir geothermal area, the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, and the
geological and historical wonder that is Þingvellir National Park. In addition to the Geysir
multimedia show we are proud to include an exciting stop on this tour: the Friðheimar
greenhouse cultivation centre, where we see and learn how Icelanders are using
geothermal energy to grow vegetables in greenhouses.
7
The Golden Circle needs little introduction: it includes
some of Iceland’s most stunning sights. You will see
the hot spring Strokkur shoot a column of water up
to 30 m (98 ft.) into the air every 4-8 minutes –
a thrilling experience that just never gets old.

and plunges into a crevice some 32 m (105 ft.) deep.
Our tour also includes the historical and geological
wonder that is Þingvellir National Park, where the
American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling
apart at a rate of a few centimetres per year.
Additionally we visit the Friðheimar greenhouse
cultivation centre, where we learn about the magic
behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes

There is nothing more breathtaking than seeing
the Northern Lights dancing around the sky an unforgettable experience.
The Northern Lights are caused by the interaction
of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere
near the North Pole. That creates this wonderful
light effect, known as the Aurora Borealis.
The Northern Lights are a spectacular natural
phenomenon, often seen d
 ancing around in fantastic
colours across the Icelandic Arctic sky.
The locations visited differ from tour to tour since we
go where it is most likely to see the Northern Lights
each evening.

The Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west of Iceland is almost

and volcanic craters, incredibly rich trout lakes and salmon

have captured the imagination of people all over the
world ever since Jules Verne wrote the famous science
fiction novel “Journey to the Centre of the Earth” in which
the amazing Snæfellsjökull glacier is where the journey
begins. Snæfellsnes continues to inspire great works of
art to this day, most recently when Ben Stiller filmed parts

Take part in an adventure at sea with an unforgettable
trip into the world of whales and sea birds.
1 January - 31 December.
To ensure that the animals are not disturbed by
our presence, we sail at a constant speed towards
the whales’ habitat. As a result, a variety of species,
from minke and humpback whales, to white-beaked
dolphins and the tiny porpoises, often surface within a
few feet of the boat.
This tour depends on weather and
sightings are not guaranteed.
No two whale watching trips are the same but each
brings an unique experience. On board we have
excellent guides that describe what you can see and
where to look, together with an introduction and
safety guide.

Lava Tour

An adventurous ride on an Icelandic horse is a
unique experience.
The history of the Icelandic horse can be traced right
back to the settlement of the country in the late 9th
century. The breed has remained pure for over a
thousand years and thus today there is only one breed
of horse in Iceland – The Icelandic Horse.
This tour takes you into the lava fields surrounding
Mount Helgafell volcano and onwards through
lavafields and across beautiful hillsides with the Bláfjöll
mountains towering above on the horizon. Look for
different formations in the lava, maybe you will be

Glacier Walk
From Reykjavík we take the road east towards the
volcano of Eyjafjallajökull. There we turn inland in the
direction of Þórsmörk and head all the way up to
Gígjökull, an outlet glacier that falls down from the
Eyjafjallajökull crater. Here we see the impact of the
2010 eruption. Continuing east we reach Sólheima
jökull glacier where we go for a Blue Ice Glacier Walk.
On the glacier you will discover all kinds of ice formations
and the different colors of the glacier ice. On the way
back we visit the impressive waterfalls Skógafoss and
Seljalandsfoss where the brave ones can venture behind
the cascading water! Finally, we head down to the black
sand beaches of the south for a 4x4 drive and take in the
beauty and power of the North Atlantic Ocean before
heading back to Reykjavík.
