Tygon® offers a range of tubing formulations that copes with all chemical, temperature
and pressure requirements and gives optimum performance, in terms of accuracy,
consistency, reliability and tube life.

Tygon®, R3603, Laboratory Tubing
Crystal clear, flexible tubing which handles virtually all inorganic chemicals found in the
laboratory. Non-oxidising, non- ageing and non-contaminating, with excellent flex
characteristics. It is less permeable than rubber tubing and the smooth inner bore helps
to prevent buildup. Remains flexible at -43°C and is autoclavable. Ideal for condensors,
incubators, desiccators, gas lines and drain lines. Supplied in 15m lengths.

Crystal clear and heavy walled to withstand full vacuum of 759mm mercury at 23°C
and 686mm mercury at 60°C. Unlike rubber tubing, it is highly resistant to cracking.
Resists most inorganic chemicals and can be used in corrosive atmospheres. Low vapour
pressure makes it ideal for analytical testing of gases and vapours.
Ideally suited for making manometers. Supplied in 15m lengths.

This translucent, semi-rigid tubing resists most known chemicals at room temperature and offers high
temperature resistance. It is rated excellent for acids (dilute, weak, strong or concentrated), aliphatic
alcohols, aldehydes, bases, esters, hydrocarbons (aliphatic, aromatic and halogenated), ketones and
strong oxidising agents.
Ideal for demanding laboratory applications such as chromatography, trace metal analysis, pollution
sampling, highly reactive catalyst procedures, metallurgical corrosion testing, pharmaceutical work, dissolutions and hot acid etchings.
Its superior non-stick characteristics are useful when transferring biological preparations where protein
binding/adsorption is a problem. This also eases movement of viscous, aggressive compounds.
For high purity analysis it can be rigorously cleaned in boiling nitric acid. Non-cytotoxic and non-contaminating for critical high-purity work. Resin complies with 21 CFR 177.1550 for food contact. For low
pressure use with mechanical, compression type fittings. Can be sterilised by autoclaving, gas heat and
disinfectants. Do not radiation sterilise.
This tubing should not be used with molten metals, elemental fluorine precursors at elevated temperatures or concentrated perchloric acid. Supplied in 7.62m lengths.

106-009 is a push in tap, suitable for use with with large, rigid, single-opening (non-vented) containers up to 200L. A divider fitted in the spigot separates the streams of liquid and air, ensuring

Kartell, Tubing Adaptors and Connectors
These polypropylene connectors are autoclavable and meet with the Food and Drug regulations. EEC
90/128 92/93 and FDA 21 CFR 177. 1520. They have ribbed terminations to hold tubing tightly and
provide excellent chemical and temperature resistance. The polyethylene quick disconnectors are useful
for joining glass, rubber and plastic tubing. They fit tightly together and replace expensive adaptors.
Use the tubing selector 688-107 to determine the ‘grip’ of your tubing and select the connector size
required.

Compression fitting mechanism
These compression fittings are designed for use with PTFE, PFA, FEP, PE, PUR, PVC, PA, Tygon®, Viton® and
Silicone tubing. They have a tapered internal sleeve, onto which the ID of the tubing is pushed. This
expands the connecting tube allowing the ferrule to naturally grip the tubes OD, so no pull-out. The
base of every male thread has an inverted sealing collar/surface with a sharp outer edge. This mechanically fuses to it’s mating female surface. No PTFE thread seal tape is required. These features allow for an
hermetic seal up to 10 bar at +20°C.
Working temperature range from -40 to +140°C. PVDF has a broad chemical resistance including
common acids, oxidising agents & organics. Other compression fittings are available on request; please
