A study of Europe Jazz Network The EJN Research project was lead by Fiona Goh and in collaboration with Rhythm Changes. The extensive members survey was replied to by 84% of the EJN membership. With these research results there are comprehensive statistics on the impact and reach of European jazz. More here. The EJN research advocacy document here The EJN research full report here EJN’S NEWEST MEMBER Jazz & The City Salzburg - Austria http://www.salzburgjazz.com A non-profit organization with several events in the old town of Salzburg. 10.-14.10.2012 The Jazz and The City festival was founded in 2000, as a club festival with free entry and has since grown to 100 concerts in 5 days with both international acts and national local artists. The EJN membership now includes 86 organisations (Festivals, clubs and concert venues, independent promoters, national organisations) in 27 countries. The "Europe Jazz Network 25th Hymn" was performed at the EJN GA by the Italian Instabile Orchestra: http://www.italianinstabileorchestra.com The concert was recorded so all the composers are able to see it soon. EJM, Europe Jazz Media EJM At the EJN GA in Bari EJN met EJM in a session lead by Jon Newey, Jazzwise, who presented the new jazz media network: EJM, Europe Jazz Media; its members, aims and activity plans. As a collaborative effort the jazz media database has been developed and updated and will be published on the EJN website with media publications links.
