There are many ways to

environment. Sign up for

On behalf of the board, I want to compliment Don and his staff on the excellent job they did at the community reception for Dr. Allison Garrett at the
Emporia Arts Council. The catering of this event highlighted one of the capabilities our club has to offer.
Last month, I failed to mention in the newsletter that the dredging of the
pond is not feasible at this time. At some point in the future, when we have a
period of no moisture, we will consider this project again.
There are two areas where we need the support of our members.
First, Don is sending out a member survey. We are asking that both the
member and your spouse please take the time to complete and return this survey to help us improve our club.
Second, our annual meeting is on Monday, February 22, at 7:00 pm. In addition to the election of two members to the board of directors, we may have
two proposed changes to the by-laws. With a new general manager, you will
have a chance to hear his vision for the future. We also will be providing a review of last year’s activities and a discussion of some activities for 2016.
We are positioned to move the club forward. To accomplish this, we need to
attract new members and to have our members make use of the club activities.
Your thoughts, ideas, and support are needed.
From the General Manager
Dear Members,
President Garrett’s reception, new dinner menus, Sunday Brunch, Pasta Night
Buffet with Kid’s Movie and the After Party were very successful. I want to thank
our service staff and kitchen staff for their outstanding efforts. Specifically to
Recognize, Chef Janelle Moran and Sous Chef A.J. Coffelt for the outstanding
food. The Club will continue to offer great events, food, beer, wine and drink
specials. Our goal is to be your “First Choice for Dining” in Emporia.
The Management Team at the Club meets weekly to review events, methods
to improve services, communication and social events for you, focusing on
efficient and cost effective practices. Following are areas we are working on:
Communication. To insure timely communication to you, we will be relying
more on email and website communication. Statements will have a copy of a two
month calendar and an insert with upcoming events. Our newsletter will be
emailed to you and will be on the Club’s website under the “Newsletter” tab. If
you would prefer to receive a paper newsletter please contact Jerry Fair or myself
at 343-0343.
Value. Currently we are working on updating our reciprocal club
arrangements, capabilities for offsite catering, and expanding educational, recreational and social programs at the Club.
Club Policies and Procedures. Club policies and procedures are being reviewed to insure that they are clearly communicated to you, the details regarding your membership are accurate and that policies and procedures enhance your
usage of the Club.
Building for the Future. The Club needs your help, we would like you and
your spouse to complete the ECC Member Survey by Monday February 29th. If
you do not receive the survey or would prefer a paper copy please contact me
