All 7th and 8th grade students are invited to participate in our Annual Dodgeball Tournament. This is a double elimination tournament and the proceeds will go to the charity of the winning team's choice. Saturday, November 1 @ 6:45PM * Six (6) Members per team - at least ICCP HOMECOMING WEEK (9/29-10/3) is filled with fun activities! This year's theme is A Knight at the Oscars. 2 boys and 2 girls; may have up to 2 alternates. * Don't have a team? Register as a single participant and ICCP will put a team together for you! * Double Elimination - Guaranteed 2 games! * Pick your team name and design your team shirt (shirts must be the same color). * $5 per player * Limited Space Available - Register on or before October 29, 2014! Be sure to join us for all the festivities, starting with the Pep Rally on Friday night in the IC Gym and the Youth Football Knight and Homecoming Game on Saturday afternoon at the newly built Plunkett Athletic Complex! The ICCP Math Contest is open to all 7th and 8th grade students. Students can compete on a school team and as an individual. We encourage students to talk to their school Math Teachers to find out if they have what it takes to compete on their School Team! WHAT'S AT STAKE?! SCHOLARSHIP $$$ AND BRAGGING RIGHTS! * Scholarships (minimum of $500) will be awarded to the highest scoring 8th Grade individuals and will be applied to Freshman Year Tuition (after student is accepted and registered). WINNING SCHOOL TEAM * Beyond Bragging Rights...the school team with the highest score will be awarded with a plaque and be recognized and published as the winners in all ICCP Press Releases and Social Media Outlets. INDIVIDUAL AWARDS * 8th Grade Students scoring 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place will receive a certificate of achievement and a trophy. * The 7th Grade Student with the highest score will receive a certificate of achievement and a trophy. * Any student who scores in the top 5, 10 and 20th percentiles receive a certificate & ribbon. Immediately following the test, students will enjoy brunch and ICCP Trivia & additional Math Questions in the Cafeteria until all the tests are scored. 10:45 AM - We invite parents to join the student participants and ICCP Math Department Chairpersons and staff in Costello Hall for a short Awards Ceremony. The format of the test will be multiple choice and short answer questions on topics chosen from Pre-algebra, Algebra and Geometry. The test will include both calculator and non-calculator portions.
