www.itso.org.uk July 2016 c2c’s new Flexi-Season ticket Ticketer says Oink Oink to passengers PAYG on its way for Govia Thameslink Leicester launches multi-operator ticket with key partner Payzone ScotRail tenders for first ITSO Account Based Ticketing One-ticket solution for buses and trams across Greater Manchester Admiral has joined forces with one of South Wales’ biggest bus operators Pop PAYG smart travel comes to buses in Sunderland ITSO reveals new brand refresh and operational updates Part-time commuters buy over 5,000 c2c journeys in two weeks The c2c’s new Flexi-Season ticket for part-time commuters has proved hugely popular since its launch, with passengers buying more than 5,000 journeys in the first two weeks alone. Over 550 local commuters in Essex have now bought Flexi-Season tickets, which provide 10 journeys each at a discounted price. Use it at weekends and get an even bigger credit of 32.5% (of the cost of that day's ticket) back into your c2c online account. As the Flexi-Season tickets are bought online, this has removed the equivalent of up to 5,500 people from queues at local ticket offices, saving time for all rail passengers. When you buy your 10 day bundle, you choose your regular route, and each ticket allows you to travel as much as you like between those destinations on the day you use each ticket. You’ve also got 26 weeks that’s around 6 months - to use them in. The number of people registering for the free c2c Smartcard, which passengers need before buying their Flexi-Season tickets, has also trebled since the new ticket was introduced. Flexi-Seasons can save regular parttime commuters from Southend, Basildon or Benfleet over £100 a year. Flexi-Season works like a season ticket except that you buy it as a bundle of 10 day tickets online onto a c2c Smartcard. Not only does Flexi-Season offer a lot more travel flexibility than the Anytime Day Return ticket, it is also 5%* cheaper and if travelling during off-peak, offers a further 10% credit back into your c2c online account, to use against any future ticket purchases. To top it off, by purchasing online you’ll have the tickets loaded onto your c2c Smartcard so you can go straight to the gates to tap-in and avoid any long queues at the ticket office. Flexi-Season is exclusive to the c2c Smartcard. c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: “We are really excited to launch the UK’s first season ticket specifically designed for part-time workers. “We know that flexible working is increasingly popular and provides the work-life balance that commuters crave. This new ticket means that part-time commuters can now get full-time value from their rail ticket, saving themselves time, money and hassle in future.” Rail Minister Claire Perry said: “The launch of the c2c flexible season ticket is great news for passengers. “We are providing record levels of investment to build a modern railway that provides better journeys for all and simpler, smarter ticketing is a vital part of that. “People across the south east are already benefitting from the ease and convenience of smart ticketing provided through the South East Flexible Ticket programme.” 1 Leicester launches multi-operator ticket with key partner Payzone Passengers are now able to purchase the Flexi 7 day smart bus ticket on the ITSO contactless Leicester OneCard from 200 Payzone agents in Leicester. Payzone is pleased to announce that Leicester City Council has selected their smart ticketing retail network as a key retail partner for this newly launched multi-operator bus smart ticketing in Leicester. Payzone's smart ticketing retail solution has been successfully implemented nationally and allows consumers to purchase smart tickets from Payzone stores, instantly loading to their smart card using the Ecebs Remote Ticket Download Service. 10 selected city centre Payzone agents will also be stocking the OneCard smartcards, so that these can be topped up with the Flexi travel ticket and used for travel straight away. Cards can then be registered at a later date online. The OneCard Flexi ticket is currently accepted on regional Arriva, First, Centrebus, Hinckleybus, Kinchbus and Stagecoach services. Adele Wearing of Leicester City Council said: "By working with Payzone we are expanding our retail reach for smart ticketing services to over 200 locations and reducing on-bus ticketing and bus boarding times. “We are offering public transport users an established network of accessible and convenient locations to make their weekly OneCard ticket purchase at a time and place that suits them. The Flexi ticket will simplify cross city travel for passengers." Payzone’s Nikki Knight, Director, Transport & Ticketing, said: “We’re delighted to have launched the multi-operator Flexi smart ticketing with Leicester City Council, continuing Payzone’s national smart ticketing network growth and providing passengers with convenient transport ticketing payment solutions and instant smartcard top-up for advance ticket purchases.” Passport is just the thing for Admiral employees Admiral has joined forces with one of South Wales’ biggest bus operators to provide discounted travel cards to staff at its offices in Newport. The company, which employs more than 600 people at the Gwent offices, has agreed a partnership with Newport Bus who will provide discounted Passport travel cards (ITSO-based) to staff, paid-for up front by Admiral. Employees are then able to pay for the discounted card, which features a years worth of unlimited travel, in 12 monthly instalments from their pay. Newport Bus became one of the first bus operators to launch an employee bus travel card scheme when it linked up with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) in 2010. Bosses at the company hope the partnership with Admiral will be just as successful. Scott Pearson, Managing Director of Newport Transport, which runs Newport Bus, said: “This is a landmark partnership with one of Wales’ biggest employers that underlines how public transport can be made more accessible and affordable to employees through such initiatives. “We believe it is important that workers in the city and surrounding area are able to use a public transport system that supports their needs. “That is why we have invested in smartcard technology, free on-bus WiFi, and a network of services covering more than 250 square miles. “We know that many staff at Admiral’s offices in Newport already use the bus and we hope that this partnership will see many more switching to the convenience of public transport to get to and from work and wherever else they need and want to go.” Huw Llewellyn, Head of Property & Facilities for Admiral said: “Admiral are delighted to be working with Newport Bus on their smartcard scheme. “Being able to offer this initiative to our staff will mean that they save money whilst promoting environmentally friendly modes of transport, in keeping with our Green objectives. “The smartcard scheme is a great way to encourage people to use local transport and to put money into the local economy.” 2 Oink Oink says Ticketer in response to Pigs Gone Wild In support of Ipswich Buses’ involvement with ‘Pigs Gone Wild’, the biggest mass participation art event in Suffolk, Ticketer’s Electronic Ticket Machines now have a unique audio response to passengers buying the ‘Family Pig Pass’. Every time someone buys an ITSO Pig Pass the Ticketer getting youticket, on board with ETM will emit a loud ‘oink’ in thanks and news and updates from ITSO Ipswich Buses will donate £1 to St members and suppliers Elizabeth Hospice for every ticket sold. This is the first time Ticketer has been asked to create an audible response to a ticket being issued and immediately said yes to the request and only then set about figuring out how it could be done. Jeremy Cooper, Managing Director for Ipswich Buses, commented: “Ticketer really saved our bacon by coming up with the ‘oink’ against a very tight deadline. “We are so pleased that everyone is able to join in the fun, enjoy some local art and raise money for our local Hospice too. Watch this space for another offer on our Pork and Ride service.” ‘Pigs Gone Wild’ is an interactive sculpture trail of over 40 pigs in Ipswich and the surrounding area. The event runs from 27 June – 2 September, after which the pig sculptures, beautifully decorated by artists and generously sponsored by Some of the Pig Sculptures, including Ed Sheer Ham (far left) local businesses, will be auctioned to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice. During the event, passengers can buy a Family Pig Pass for travel on all Ipswich Buses’ town centre routes as well as on Carter's route 94 which stops near Jimmy's Farm where one of the pig sculptures is located. The Pass allows unlimited travel after 9am for 2 Adults and up to 3 children or 1 Adult and up to 4 children for £5. John Clarfelt, Managing Director of Ticketer, said: “This was a very ham-bitious project for us, but one which we were extremely happy to take on. Every time a Family Pig Pass is issued, our ETM will oink in a particularly joyful way. “We auditioned several pigs for this project who all wanted to hog the limelight, before we found the perfect sow-nd.” ScotRail tenders for first ITSO Account Based Ticketing Abellio Scotrail has tendered for the implementation of an ITSO Account Based Ticketing System. Account Based Ticketing (ABT) passengers will have their own account which is stored in the back office for functionality for both pre and post payment, with daily and weekly caps. Managing the passenger's travel rights through their account allows the ticket logic to be moved away from the physical Point of Service Terminal (POST) and into a central back office location. Initially a pilot will be conducted for a period of 6 months and operate on specified routes using the current ScotRail smartcard media (ITSO-based). The pilot will commence from 1st April 2017 and will include both daily and weekly Best Value. Provided every entry and exit is logged, the cheapest combination of daily singles, returns (peak, off-peak, super off-peak) for the journey pattern observed will be calculated and deducted from the balance at the end of the day and week. Following the pilot ScotRail shall commence a phased roll out geographically and include additional functionality to all eligible passengers from November 2017, to be completed by April 2018. 3 Pay As You Go for Govia Thameslink in Autumn Govia Thameslink Railway is set to offer Pay As You Go (PAYG) on all routes this autumn. The keyGo calculates your best fare in the back office and charges it to your bank account. The company’s PAYG smartcard (ITSO-based) is currently available on Southern routes outside London. The taps from a customer's key card are sent from the back office to a separate system that does the rail or bus fares calculations for deducting from the customer's credit or debit card. In the autumn, keyGo will extend to stations in London and all of its Great Northern and Thameslink routes – providing coverage from Brighton to Huntingdon. GTR is developing keyGo to cover Transport for London’s (TfL’s) bus, Underground and light rail services. Pop PAYG smart travel comes to buses in Sunderland buses and now Stagecoach in South Tyneside and Sunderland. Pop PAYG can also be widely used on Stagecoach and Arriva routes in the Tees Valley. The smart system keeps track of journeys made, and stops charging once a guaranteed daily price cap has been reached for the zones used. Customers touching in and out at Metro validators and gates will see the best fare for them calculated automatically. Cllr Michael Mordey and Robin Knight from Stagecoach at Park Lane bus station in Sunderland People catching a bus in Sunderland can now use the Pop Pay As You Go (PAYG) smartcard for travel in the city. “It is further proof that by working closely together in partnership we can keep the north east ahead of the pack and in the national spotlight.” Stagecoach buses have started to accept the new payment card, launched last year, which can already be used on the Tyne and Wear Metro and Shields Ferry. More than 6,000 people are already using Pop PAYG cards, which can be bought from Nexus Travelshops and selected Payzone stores in the North East. Sunderland City Council Portfolio Holder for City Services, Cllr Michael Mordey said: “Anything which makes it cheaper and more convenient to regularly use public transport is to be welcomed, and these smart cards do just that. The smartcard was launched last year by the North East Smart Ticketing Initiative – a partnership of the North East Combined Authority, Nexus, local councils and transport operators aimed at providing one smart card that could be used anywhere in the region. Robin Knight, Commercial Director at Stagecoach, said: “This is another step on the digital journey, allowing us to tailor ticketing to customer needs. It can so far be used anywhere on Metro, on all Arriva buses in Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside, selected Go North East The card allows users to store a cash value topped up online, at Payzone agents or station ticket machines. Pop PAYG customers on Metro also benefit from a ‘last journey’ guarantee – allowing them to travel even if the journey takes them into a negative balance, provided that they top up to a positive balance before they next use the card. More than 80,000 Metrosaver season ticket, student and Gold Card passengers already use ITSO-based smart cards for travel. Metrosaver and student customers can ‘click and collect’ online, loading their new ticket onto their card as they pass through a station the next day. The fast growth of smart travel has helped increase Metro passenger numbers to their highest in five years, with 40 million people using the system in 2015. 4 Multi-Operator ticket system coming to Dundee A multi-operator bus ticketing system could be rolled out in Dundee as early as late summer, it was revealed. Plans are in place to offer bus users around Dundee the chance to buy one smart card that can be used on both getting on board with Xploreyou Dundee and Stagecoach services. news and updates from ITSO members and suppliers The ITSO-based scheme is part of a national project around Scotland between First, Stagecoach, Lothian Buses, McGill’s and Xplore Dundee. The operators involved have also confirmed that the project is expected to be extended to railways, ferries and subways around the country in the near future. It would be a similar system to the Oyster Card in London which allows users to jump on buses, the tube, trams or local trains, but will be an ITSObased scheme. It is hoped the first phase of the nationwide project will be made available to around three-quarters of the Scottish population over the course of 2017. The cities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh and their surrounding areas will be the first to benefit. West End councillor Fraser Macpherson said: “A smart card for buses that can be used on both Xplore Dundee and Stagecoach buses in the city — has taken a great step forward and will be a positive move for many Dundee bus users. “It’s something that constituents have raised in the past. There is nothing more frustrating than waiting for the next bus and it turns out to be a service that you don’t have a card for. “It’s hoped to expand it to trains and other services in the future, but at the beginning it will just be buses in Dundee which I think will be the biggest advantage for people here.” Commuters Benefit from SYPTE’s New Ticket Approach Thousands of commuters across South Yorkshire are benefitting from better ways to buy public transport tickets following a shift to smart technology at Travel Interchanges. Following the success of the Smart Retail Points (SRPs), Cammax have rolled the Point of Sale (POS) management application – which allows the management and retailing of smart tickets - out to clients including TravelMaster, TransDev, Department for Work and Pensions, and Charge Your Car. Over 150,000 transactions have taken place at the 22 Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) put in place by suppliers Cammax, since July 2014. John Sawyer, Project Manager at SYPTE said of the partnership: “Cammax have demonstrated their ability to deliver efficient, easy to use software and TVMs that enable customers to make thousands of ITSO smart ticket purchases each month. Major terminals such as Meadowhall Interchange and Sheffield Interchange are successfully adapting to the new retail approach, as South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) focuses on accessible and flexible products and services for its customers. South Yorkshire’s whole multi-operator ticketing process has seen a transformation since switching to an all TVM system at a number of its stations. Customers can now redeem smartcards at a TVM 24/7 instead of having to visit a Travel Information Centre with a piece of paper to collect a ticket. Cammax has deployed over 80 TVMs for different councils and transport authorities across the UK, including 17 outdoor card TVMs, five full cash TVMs, and 23 Smart Retail Points, with over 100 more TVMs due to be rolled out this year. Students redesign Reading Buses smartcard for young passengers Reading College business students have been working on a project to develop a new name and logo for Reading Buses ITSO-based SOLO card, used by passengers aged 19 and under following some initial market research by the company that found the message of the SOLO scheme was not clear enough and the existing logo - a superhero - was not connecting with the target audience. The winners, who presented their ideas to Chief Executive Officer Martijn Gilbert, will now develop their designs by working with the company’s design agency to rebrand buses, posters and the travel cards themselves. The new card and travel scheme is due to be launched later this year. ITSO news look forward to showing the new design! Watch this space! 5 A one-ticket smart solution for buses and trams across Greater Manchester A one-ticket smart solution, making travel easier for all will become a reality in Greater Manchester from next year, a new report from transport bosses has revealed. getting you on with by the The update to board be considered Greater Combined news andManchester updates from ITSO Authority and (GMCA) on Thursday (30 members suppliers June) sets out plans for all customers to be able to use a smart card for travel on both buses and trams across the city region, beginning in 2017. Councillor Andrew Fender, Chair of the Transport for Greater Manchester Committee, said: “We want to make travel easier for everyone and ensure public transport provides a real choice for people. The introduction of smart ticketing helps us to do that by adding convenience, flexibility and value to customers. “We are absolutely clear about what we want to achieve and we are now working through the details to ensure the delivery of smart ticketing within the timescales which we have set out to enable and encourage as many people as possible to use public transport.” The GMCA report states that the next phases of the smart ticketing roll-out will include, by the end of next year: • Extending the get me there smart card on Metrolink to all passengers • Introducing multimodal smart for joint bus and tram travel • Adding more places and ways to pay for get me there – cash, cards, as well as online accounts. Stephen Rhodes, TfGM’s Customer Operations Director, said: “This is all about improving the customer experience and ensuring the delivery of an integrated ticketing system that enables seamless travel right across Greater Manchester. As such careful planning and assessment has been vital. • “We have made a good start on our smart journey and we still have a way to go to reach our destination but we now have a road map and a realistic timetable to get there.” Plans outline a series of smart ticketing developments to be phased in over the next five years including: • Smarter contactless travel – where passengers use their bank card to touch in and touch out instead of a smart card. Contactless bank card payments, in exchange for a printed ticket, are initially being rolled out on Metrolink. • Smart capping – where get me there automatically works out the best value fare tariff for passengers who make multiple journeys but only buy a series of one-trip tickets. Smart capping would also work with contactless bank cards, recognising that it was the same person travelling even if they had not registered with get me there. Train travel will also be added to the suite of smart ticketing options, to be developed as part of TfGM’s work with Transport for the North. Stephen Rhodes added: “Smart ticketing works best for customers when it is simple and straightforward to use. Having taken the time to review our progress to date and look carefully at how we should proceed, we are now ready to take these next steps.” “We want to ensure we deliver the best solution for people in Greater Manchester and have been working in a complex environment which has meant we have had to adapt to changing circumstances, new technology, new legislation and changing expectations from customers. 6 Message from the ITSO Chair Unlike our ever changing summer weather, good one day, awful the next, there has been a positive sea change for the good in the future thinking and direction of the ITSO Board since the away day in March. The Board are now regularly focussing on matters of strategy that are fundamentally relevant to the future of the organisation and smart ticketing and you could say, in contrast to our British climate, the outlook is bright. At June’s Board we recognised the need to pay proper attention to what else is happening in the world of eticketing and to avoid duplication of work or research that is being done elsewhere in the industry, in particular in areas such as smartphones, EMV and Account Based Ticketing. We want to ensure that, where ITSO Members are involved in any such projects, that ITSO Ltd is brought into discussions early on to enable it to react to changing technologies and provide the resources and toolkits that will aid future smart solutions for all of our Members. It is clear that mobile phones are fast becoming one of the key travel tickets of choice for passengers and, quite possibly, for a generation to come. is required to ensure security at the highest level for ITSO’s schemes. Working with its supplier members they will be verifying that ITSO certified devices are compliant with the minimum security requirements to ensure they will work on smartphones. Separately, ITSO is also feeding into the work of the European Smart Ticketing Alliance and Global Platform to maximise the operational capabilities between smartphones and ITSO Posts. Work is already underway for a pilot on HCE in the Autumn, and we want to move at a faster pace to get ITSO on smartphones. We recognise that there are challenges along the way, in particular in the area of security. ITSO Ltd cannot afford to undermine its security reputation, and it is crucial to develop a mechanism that allows ITSO on mobiles to be taken forward. Therefore it is reassuring for the board and me to hear that through working with the ITSO Security Committee, ITSO’s Governance and Compliance team are reviewing their testing procedures to establish precisely what When ITSO Ltd was first formed, it stood at the leading edge of smart ticketing. With the advent of new channels and a new appetite for diversity of payment methodology in the marketplace, ITSO Ltd is again moving forward to take a leading role in ensuring that the needs both of our customers and of the end-users are met. Mike Fuhr, Chairman, ITSO Board Moving forward for the future of smart ticketing ITSO and Host Card Emulation Host Card Emulation (HCE) allows a mobile app to emulate a physical contactless smartcard, allowing a customer to use an NFCenabled mobile device in the same way as they use a smartcard, when the app is installed. HCE is an alternative to the Secure Element (SE) approach for emulating a smartcard on a mobile device. The SE approach typically requires the use of software which runs on the mobile operator’s SIM card or on a special chip in the handset. HCE instead enables a regular mobile app to emulate a smartcard within the ‘Host’ operating system, a much simpler approach which does not require any involvement from the mobile operator or handset manufacturer. Working together with West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Transport for the North, Ecebs, Penrillian and Consult Hyperion, ITSO will be leading on a trial, due to commence in September 2016, which uses HCE-enabled mobile phones on a live ITSO scheme. The objective of the trial is to test and prove all the technologies necessary to see the deployment of larger-scale commercial solutions which allow a mobile phone to function as a replacement to an ITSO smartcard through utilising HCE technologies. In parallel with the trial, ITSO is working to enhance the ITSO Specification, and also the certification process, so as to accommodate HCE devices. Phased Development Plan 1 2 3 est. September 2016 • Generate draft changes to the ITSO Specification & certification process. est. December 2016 • Circulate the draft Specification & certification process for broader feedback. • Publish the final Specification & certification process. • Start an initial closed trial based on draft specification. • Commence an additional trial with a larger number of participants. • Begin fullycommercial implementations of HCE solutions which meet the specification. 7 Governance/Compliance Update a ITSO Compliance to ISO14443, CEN TS16794 and Certification Review The use of smartphones is a hot topic. ITSO Members are including smartphones in future projects in a number of variants. In order to assist ITSO Members, ITSO has identified the need to verify that ITSO certified devices will work with Smartphones (Compliant with ISO14443, CEN TS16794). Governance and Compliance is now verifying all certificates and to this end, during July and August Members will be contacted. This work also aligns itself with the Smart Ticketing Alliance (STA) certification program, mentioned in their update below. ITSO Key Management Strategy Last year saw the first ITSO Key Roll, rather than an extension, this project was satisfactorily completed (Transaction Key Ring). All ITSO Keys are now being assessed and over the coming months members will be advised on the plans with regard to each ITSO key. If you have any questions please contact [email protected] Smart Ticketing Alliance contributes to interoperability with a certification proposal The Smart Ticketing Alliance (STA) has established a certification procedure based on ISO standards for the contactless interface of ticketing equipment and media. In a first step, the scope of the certification is the contactless interface of ticketing equipment and media based on CEN/TS16794. Long term goal of this measure of STA, is to ensure interoperable traveling throughout Europe from the technical view and to ensure maximum freedom of choice of supplier by PTAs and PTOs, and to give them the necessary trust in their investment. A certificate delivered by an accredited certification body will be recognized in all of Europe. A STA certification working group has set up the global framework of certification and defined the certification procedure, technical guidelines for certification bodies and a test tools validation methodology for laboratories. Currently, the first two STA certification bodies are Calypso Network Association and its partner PayCert which is ready to operate, and VDV eTicket Service together with Federal Office for Security in Information Technology (BSI) that is preparing to become soon another certification body. With this process, manufacturers worldwide can apply for the certification of their products for the European public transport market. Security instruction document for HOPS to HOPS ITSO has developed the first of its security instruction documents. The now released SI0001 provides updated VPN security configuration for HOPS to HOPS transactions. This is accomplished by implementing security configurations and best practises via security instruction documents that are external to the ITSO Specification, which are then referenced in the ITSO Specification at relevant locations. It means security changes can be implemented faster than by changing the Specification, thereby avoiding outdated/insecure practises and making life harder for hackers. The SI0001 can be downloaded from this page: https://www.itso.org.uk/members-home/membersspecification-resources/security-information/ If you have any questions please contact [email protected]. Are you caching your DTD files? DTD files are message template files used as part of the ITSO Specification to enable messaging between the ISMS, HOPS and POSTs (including PersoPOSTs). They allow your ticketing system to translate the content of ITSO messages. As these files are rarely changed, ITSO Specification Part 9 Clause 10.2.2 “Public and System Identifiers” mandates that a locally held copy of the current DTD files be used and only refreshed if the local copy is lost or when changes are advised by ITSO. 8 ITSO reveal new look at European Bus Forum 2016 ITSO recently revealed its new brand refresh at the European Bus Forum 2016 held on 23 June at the University of Manchester. The event focused on transport engineering and operations in Europe and also showcased what is happening here in the UK. The conference kicked off with presentations from Jon Lamonte, CEO of Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), who gave an opening view of public transport in the Manchester area. Jon was joined by Marc Shrimpling, Legal Director Osborne Clark and Stephen Fidler, Department for Transport who talked about the Buses Bill, a major piece of legislation in the bus industry with changes in local partnerships and franchising. One of the highlights of the conference was the Ticketing and Intermodality breakout session. Speakers for smart ticketing included Stephen Rhodes, at TfGM who spoke about future plans for their multioperator get-me-there smart products to encourage seamless and easy travel. You can read more on TfGM’s plans in this newsletter. Bob Montgomery, Stagecoach UK spoke about the importance of partnership working for delivering multi-operator smart ticketing and saying one of its benefits was to Left to right Julie Liburd, Heather Workman, Kim Clarke build on ITSO. Bob is hopeful that they will see a single back-office contactless ticketing scheme on all urban UK buses by 2022. Finally, Jeremy Wiggin, Norfolk County Council spoke about how Norfolk has introduced successful smart ticketing and real time passenger information technology to improve services. Since its launch in April 2014, the ITSO Holdall smartcard has issued 5500 cards. Using data from Ticketer ETM’s they are producing real time information for passengers. Future plans include multi-operator tickets and developing a Young Person (16-19) Card. On the stand we spoke to a number of ITSO members and suppliers including Stagecoach, Payzone, Penrillian, Snapper, Cammax and The Hub. We also had a visit from Gordon Hanning, Head of Concessionary Travel and Integrated Ticketing Transport Scotland and ITSO Board member. Overall a successful event. ITSO must look to the future and provide reassurance to our members that ITSO are moving forward in smart ticketing. Our new modern brand shows we are not standing still, as technologies evolve, so will we. Dates for your diary ITSO will be exhibiting at the Annual Transport Card Forum Conference & Exhibition on 27 – 28 September 2016, The Queens Hotel, Leeds.
