Ice-breaking party (1900-2000)
Before having dinner, an ice-breaking party is organized giving the
opportunity to the travellers to meet each other and The Time Travel
Company Staff.
Itinerary of the first day

Museum of Vossenack (±2h)
After breakfast, we move to the Museum of Vossenack where
explanation about the Battle of Hürtgen Forrest (Schlacht im
Hürtgenwald) will be given.
Hürtgen forest was the scene of a series of fierce battles fought
between U.S. and German forces between Sep 44 and Feb
45, which became the longest battle on German ground during World
War II, and the longest single battle the U.S. Army has ever fought.

Simonskall (30 min)
After lunch, we visit the medical aid bunker Nr. 374 in Simonskall.
Monschau (±1h30)
On our way back to Luxembourg, we will stop at the 300 year old city of
Monschau where you will have the opportunity to stroll around this
beautiful old town.

The Castle of Vianden (±1h)
At the beginning of the Battle of the Bulge, the 5th GE Parachute
Division crossed the river Our at Vianden and attacked Wiltz (known as
one of the bloodiest sites of the Battle of the Bulge), where the
headquarters of the 28th US Infantry Division were located.
Wallendorf (±1h30)
We reach the village of Wallendorf (GE) by crossing the Sauer river
bridge at the Luxembourgish town of Wallendorf-Pont. The bridge was
of strategic importance during the Battle of the Bulge.
Lunch (±1h30)
The Museum of Diekirch (±1h30)
This museum illustrates in most realistically possible ways and in any
impartiality, the course of the Battle of the Bulge through dioramas in
the scale 1/1. The Museum of Diekirch also tries to maintain high the
respect for all the soldiers who died during the Battle of the Bulge.
Sandweiler German war cemetery (1h)
This day will end with a visit to the Sandweiler German war cemetery
which contains the graves of 10,913 German servicemen from the
Battle of the Bulge.

The Museum of Bras (±1h)
After breakfast, we move to Bastogne with a stop at the Museum of
Bras. This museum has huge reconstitutions of various phases of the
Battle. It is divided into two floors with the crossing of the frontline as
strong point.
The “Bastogne Barracks” (±1h)
The "Bastogne Barracks” will be the next stop. This place shelters the
famous "nuts cave” and an exhibition of WWII vehicles.

The “Bastogne War Museum” and the Mardasson (±2h30)
This recent museum offers a modern memorial centre and interactive
context of the causes, events, and consequences of the Second World
War through the prism of the Battle of the Bulge.
