6 Day Safari: Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire
Day 1
Pickup from your hotel in Arusha then drive 2 hours towards Lake Manyara
National Park where you will enjoy a full day game drive with a boxed-lunch pick
nick. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree climbing lions and
stunning views over the colorful lake, which is a paradise for flamingos. While
most known for baboons, the lake is also home to herbivores such as hippos,
impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes. Giant fig trees
and mahogany seen in the groundwater forest immediately around the park
gates draw nourishment from the underground springs replenished continuously
from crater highlands directly above the Manyara basin. The Great Rift Valley
offers another beautiful geological and historical feature, being the site at which
Lewis Leaky discovered the earliest humans fossils. Dinner and overnight at
lodge or campsite. Panoroma campsite/Lake Manyara Hotel located at the top
of the great Rift Valley off the beaten track with brilliant view of the Lake
Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro highland.
