Seriously special Christmas shopping. The market stalls have been selected by experts from The Harley Gallery
and Welbeck Farm Shop. From traditional crafts to cutting edge design, top makers from across the country show
off their work at the Art Market. The Harley Artists’ welcome visitors to explore their studio to learn about their
practice and buy work directly. The Welbeck Farm Shop present their fabulous food market, focussing on local
products including beer, cheese, bread and chocolates made on The Welbeck Estate.

MAKING PAYMENTS
Payments must be made before or on the scheduled date. The Harley Gallery will contact sucessful applicants to
confirm details of their stand and related costs. Failure to make payments by the scheduled date may result
in the stand being reallocated. Payments can be made over the phone via credit or debit card. Alternatively a
cheque made to The Harley Gallery Trading Ltd and posted to Susan Sherrit, The Harley Market, The Harley
Gallery, Welbeck, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 3LW. If an exhibitor withdraws from the event after the 1st
October 2016, stand fees cannot be refunded.

STAND DETAILS
SIZE AND POSITIONING:
Each table is 180cm x 60cm. Every exhibitor is provided with a wooden trestle table as standard. The tables are
set back against the marquee wall or wall panel, therefore exhibitors are unable to stand/sit behind the table. A
chair will be provided at the end of each table. Exhibitors must bring their own table covering/props. Alternatively
exhibitors may bring their own display system to replace the table. This must not exceed 180cm x 60cm and
exhibitors must tick the box on the application form to let The Harley Gallery know. Displays must not be larger
than the dimensions indicated. Displays must not encroach into the public thoroughfares.
WALLS:
These are optional and subject to availability, they have an additional charge of £20. They are allocated at the
discretion of The Harley Gallery. 2-D work which requires wall space will be given priority. Exhibitors must
ensure they tick the box on the application form if they want walls.
Back walls are 240cm x 240cm, side walls are 240cm x 60cm. They are constructed of 12mm thick MDF panels,
affixed to a metal frame and painted white. Exhibitors can screw into the panels using screws no longer than
2cm long. The walls should not be damaged. No rawl plugs or adhesives should be applied to the walls.
Exhibitors must not paint the walls but can attach wallpaper or similar with pins or staples.
ELECTRICITY:
Electricity/plug sockets is optional and subject to availability, it costs an additional £20. It is allocated at the
discretion of The Harley Gallery. Work which requires electricity such as lighting will be given priority. Please
ensure you tick the box on the application form if you require electricity.
THE MARQUEE:
The marquee will be located adjacent to The Harley Studios, approximately 200 meters from The Harley Gallery.
The marquee will be heated and security guards will be present during closed periods.

ARRIVAL & SET UP
Exhibitors are asked to request a set up slot to unload goods and equipment. There are six spaces per slot and
are offered on a first come first serve basis. Exhibitors are encouraged to be quick to make their request to
avoid dissapointment.

After un-loading vehicles must be moved to exhibitor parking. You must not arrange your stand before moving
your car. The carpark is situated 200 meters from the marquee and is signposted. Stands must be set up and
thoroughfares clear for public access by 9.30am on Friday 25th November.

DEPARTURE & TAKE DOWN
Stands may only be dismantled after close at 4.00pm Sunday 27th November. Please pack goods and
equipment before collecting your car. Exhibitors must be especially aware of road safety during takedown when
it is dark.

STORAGE
Please note the only space for exhibitor storage is under the trestle table. We suggest you bring a large table
covering which reaches the floor so that your packing materials are neatly disguised.

or to organise transport to travel from The Harley to most of these providers. Our closest provider is

TRANSPORT
CAR
The Harley Gallery is situated on The Welbeck Estate, Nottinghamshire, close to the Derbyshire border. Our
entrance is on the A60, between Mansfield and Worksop. The Harley Gallery is 15 minutes from the M1 Junction
30 and the A1 Worksop exit. For SatNavs please use the postcode S80 3LT, for the Welbeck car park.
RAIL
The nearest train station is Creswell (Derbyshire). Creswell is on the Robin Hood Line, between Nottingham and
Worksop. Trains to Retford are also very convenient, we recommend booking a taxi for onwards travel. The drive
from Retford is approximately 30 minutes.

CASH MACHINES, PHARMACY, POST OFFICE
These amenities can be found in the village of Whitwell, two and a half miles from Welbeck. The Cash machine
and Post Office are located in the CO-OP shop and the pharmacy, Gilbert & Armstrong is located behind the car
park 50 meters from the CO-OP.
PETROL STATION
The closest petrol station is situated in Worksop 5 miles from Welbeck on the A60/A57 roundabout.
CARD PAYMENT SERVICE
The Harley Gallery provide a card payment service for exhibitors during the event. If you wish to use this service
please ensure you tick the relevant box on the application form. The Harley Gallery will send successful
applicants a form to complete and return. The form requests exhibitors’ bank details so money from sales using
the card facility can be transferred directly to their bank account after the event. There is a charge of 5% on the
transaction value which contributes to the cost of the card terminal and merchant services which The Harley
Gallery incurs. This charge will be deducted from your transfer.

CATERING
There are several places to buy refreshments at the weekend but please remember this is a busy event so ques
can be long! Available is the Harley Café and Welbeck Farm Shop in the Gallery Courtyard alongside hot food
from the food exhibitors. The Art Café which is situated in The Harley Education Room, 100 meters from the
marquee and The Welbeck Café by the Dukeries Garden Centre which is just behind the marquee. We will also
provide a kitchen facility with free tea coffe and hot chocolate in the Harley Offices which are also close to the
marquee.
BRING YOUR OWN MUG FOR FREE DRINKS
Exhibitors and exhibitor assistants are more than welcome to bring along their own mug/flasks and use the
Harley Office’s kitchen to make free hot drinks. We will provide, tea, coffee, milk and sugar throughout the event.
NETWORKING & MARKETING
The Harley Gallery will promote the event throughout the year online. Exhibitors are welcome to contribute to our
social media feeds:

MOBILE COVERAGE
Exhibitors who use card services which require mobile coverage should be aware that Welbeck is not a
particularly well serviced area. It is advised that exhibitors check their coverage before the event.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS












All work must be original and by the maker
All payments must be made by specified dates. The Harley Gallery reserves the right to withdraw
and reallocate stands which are not paid for by the specified dates
Should an exhibitor withdraw from the event after the 1st October 2016 their stand fee will not be
refunded.
Exhibitors must not sublet their space without permisson
Exhibitors should ensure their stand is staffed at all times during public opening times
Exhibitors must not close their stand before closing times
Exhibitors will be liable for any damage to stand fittings, wall panels, table, chair
If The Harley Gallery cancel the event the exhibitor fee will be refunded in full but The Harley Gallery
cannot be held liable for any additional expences incurred
The Harley Gallery reserves the right to photograph exhibitors stands and exhibits for promotional
purposes. Exhibitors agree to grant The Harley Gallery non-exclusive copyright for the images they
supply during the application process for promotional purposes
All exhibitors are required to contribute to a post event survey
Nothing must block the public thoroughfare, fire exits or entry points, nor extend beyond the perimiter
of exhibitor stands
All electrical equipment must be PAT tested
