30 MILE SENIOR SCRATCH RACE
COMPLIMENTS

Course is .629 mile per lap. Seniors will ride 48.0 laps with start and
finish at judges stand. All ABL of A rules to govern. Equipment is op­
tional, except that all bicycles must have at least one brake in good
working order. No allowance for spills, flat tires or mechanical trouble.
Any lost distance must be made up by contestant's own ab iIity. No pass­
ing of refreshments to any rider during the race. All riders lapped one or
more times may be removed from the race at the discretion of the judges.
10 MILE JUNIOR RACE
Jmiors will ride 16.0 laps. All other rules apply as outlined above for
30 mile Senior event.

Intermediates will ride 8.0 laps. All other rules apply as outlined above
for 30 mile Sen ior event.

PRIZES
Consisting of an approximate value of $600. Trophies for 1st and 2nd places
in all events donated by the Embassy of France, Washington, D.C. Two
GITANE track frames for the two winners of the Senior and Junior events.
Various equipment and merchandise graciously donated by the local dealers,
merchants and manufacturers. Ten place prizes, trophies and merchandise,
will be awarded in all three events. There will be a special prime sprint at
the end of the 24th lap in the Senior event. There will also be a prize for
the leader of the most laps in the Senior event.

Course is certified and the present National 15 and 30 mile records were set
here June 23, 1963 by William Halliday.
